They responded quickly and even though they were not able to take my case, they gave me some helpful advice.

The morning after my case settled, I slept better than I had in almost a year. Taking on a huge…read morecorporation had seemed almost futile, and definitely something I couldn't handle alone. From our first call, Alex had already read everything I'd sent him and thought about it. He walked me through the reality of the situation -- what might work, what was unlikely -- and proposed a strategy. The haze around me started to lift, and I knew I was in safe hands. Throughout, Alex kept me up to date, building trust and explaining the strategy behind every move. When things felt terrifying I could confidently press ahead with this unflappable ally -- whether things looked hopeful or harrowing, he was coolheaded at every turn. Alex didn't just win my case. He gave me my life back. If you're reading this, you're probably where I was -- scared, overwhelmed, and not sure if it's even worth the fight. It is. Call Alex. You're going to be okay.

Alex Higgins cannot be recommended highly enough…read more From the moment you meet and talk with him, there is no doubt that you are working with someone who is intelligent, thoughtful and very skilled as a lawyer. He is highly organized and has an astute attention to detail yet doesn't get so lost in the details that he misses the broader picture. I never expected to find myself in a situation where I would need to find a lawyer. I'm not sure anyone really ever does. As a physician, I had no idea where to start and felt completely out of my element, until I met Alex and we reviewed the case. In our initial discussion, I immediately knew that Alex was someone I could trust. He was respectful and professional but also made it very clear he wasn't going to tell me what I wanted to hear. He was able to explain complicated law in a way that I could understand. During our meetings, it was clear that he was listening and had truly taken the time to understand the details. Never did I feel rushed or dismissed. I felt heard and taken care of like I imagine my patients want to be heard and taken care of. As my case progressed, Alex had the insight and professionalism to recommend that I continue my case with a more specialized firm instead of attempting to keep the work for himself and potentially do a lesser job. Regardless, even with the more specialized firm taking over my case, I continued to go back to Alex time and again with questions and concerns. I felt that his judgement and honesty could not be rivaled and it was comforting knowing Alex was still there. Ultimately, Alex and I decided to bring him back onto my case as co-counsel because I trusted his skill and expertise too much to not have him on the case. No one wants to go through this experience, but I feel incredibly lucky to have found Alex. It is in the rough times that the great people show themselves. Alex is one of the great ones out there.

When I questioned the discrepancy, Mandy looked at her wrist (no watch was present) and stated "I've wasted enough time with you"!! you would think an attorneys office would present a friendly, competent office, but they could care less about clients. Stay away from them!

Mr. Mullavey was focused on the most minute details of his secretary's desk more than his own practice (micromanager). I saw evidence of a long line of former secretaries at that desk, not to mention what other staffers hinted at to me directly about Mr. Mullavey's difficulty holding onto secretaries and how impossible he was to work for. Then he was nice enough to take a few secretaries out for lunch on Administrative Professionals' Day to a nearby Ballard seafood restaurant. I never will forget the FIRST thing that came out of his mouth as he finally started to speak to me as a human and not his drone: "Don't you think you will have a hard time finding a husband at your current weight?" I guess he didn't know I had already been married for 9 years in the past. BTW, I was only 40 pounds overweight at the time, and at 5'9" I carried it pretty well, am a fairly snappy dresser for work and don't have too shabby of a face, and worked out a lot then. Needless to say I didn't work for him much longer. BTW, I've been happily married for a second time for 14 years now. I'm sure there are really nice staff and attorneys who work there, but Mr. Mullavey was a piece of work. I hope they have Microsoft Word by now...

Finally, I got to see a real AP, but then my benefits were denied without any clear reason, only to be approved later. On top of that, I faced employment issues that had me firing off emails like I was in the middle of a war. Throughout this whole ordeal, I can't express enough how grateful I am to Rachel and Caleb for their incredible patience and support. It was a really slow start as they had to gather all the necessary information and analyze it to build a case. But what truly stood out was how Rachel, Caleb, and the entire Emery Reddy team were always there for me, fighting back when I felt completely lost. Thank you, Emery Reddy, and especially Rachel and Caleb--you two are amazing! I can't thank you enough. And just so you know, I wasn't paid to write this review. This is my genuine appreciation for all that you've done.

What I liked most about him involved a small car accident case. Unlike a couple lawyers I consulted with, he didn't try to get me to sign a fee contract right away. He told me that I had plenty of time to file my lawsuit and that I shouldn't necessarily rush to filing a lawsuit until I knew what the extent of my injuries were. The other things I liked about having Anthony as my attorney is that he would explain to me why he was doing certain things and he dedicated a lot of time getting me prepared to do my deposition. I felt like he was primarily focused with helping me get the most for my case, not just trying to get it resolved quickly so he could move on to the next client. I thought his fees were reasonable and he explained his fee agreement to me and told me I could think about it and ask questions of him about it before I signed it. I also liked that he would return my call usually on the same day. Hopefully I won't be in a position to need a lawyer again anytime soon (!!), but its reassuring to know that if I do that I will have one less thing to worry about in terms of getting reliable and high-quality service.
