Our experience at Friends couldn't have been more wonderful. All of the teachers are kind, warm and nurturing. It's like handing your kids over to family. The 2's program is the perfect introduction to school for toddlers, the 3's is a great continuation of all the social and life skills being taught, and the 4's curriculum emphasizes preparing for kindergarten in an organic and age-appropriate way. The LRR team has been welcoming; from our son's initial introduction to the facility, they have kept us well informed of how he was transitioning to a new campus and classroom. The team has done a great job of developing and sustaining a strong partnership with parents. That parent partnership has extended beyond the initial introduction as teachers set up Zoom sessions to virtually tour the classroom. They could continue dialogue with us as parents around upcoming programming and events. Bright Horizons on Long Ridge has also done a great job fostering strong communication with families throughout this challenging time with COVID to keep us up to date on any impacts to the facility, staff, and/or classrooms. The staff there really care and provide the children with a great curriculum. Meals and snacks are provided and they use the Brightwheel app so I know exactly how long my son napped and how many times his diaper was changed along with pictures and videos. They also have a great outdoor area split between the young babies and the toddlers. They are also great with communicating any issues whether that is my child popping a fever or if he injured himself. The location is also very convenient as it's near the Mamaroneck train station. We will miss Happy Feet so much!

The classes are super diverse and inclusive but more importantly, my sons were lucky enough to have 2 teachers that were absolutely excellent (Ms. Marcy and Ms. Shamel). They taught my boys so much - my 3 year old was basically reading and my older one was more than prepared for kindergarten. if you're lucky enough to get into their class, they will love your kids like they love their own. Beyond that, the school has fostered an excellent community among the parents who do not hesitate to chip in and help each other and who go out of their way to have social activities to bring the kids together. This is truly a special school with amazing teachers and community of parents.
