Unfortunately, during my time in Oslo, I did not get much of a chance to eat the local food, since this city is pretty expensive. However, for some strange reason, hamburgers are supposedly popular in Scandinavia, and are usually the cheaper option. We were really hungry and ended up here after a really busy day exploring this city.
I got a cheeseburger here, and after putting some lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup and a little mayonnaise, it was a very juicy burger, combined with the softness of the bun. The price was fairly reasonable for Norwegian standards, it was less than 150 NOK. The fries here are decently good and have a nice crisp. Another good choice is their kebab platters, and I also think the prices are also reasonable.
We sat by a nice glass window, and you could do some "people watching" from there. The people who worked there were fairly nice, but you might have to speak in the simplest English words possible.
Overall, if you are looking for a somewhat inexpensive and simple lunch/dinner in a good location in Oslo, this place might be a good choice. I don't think it is an amazing restaurant in a city like Oslo, but you can get your stomach full without spending too much money. read more
