He's legit and friendly (though a little odd), and he seems like he's been doing this for decades (because he has), and I felt safe and comfortable tandem paragliding with him. He was patient with my party being 30 mins late and I really appreciated him being so calm and kind about it. If there's any forewarning, I would just say that he sounded a little sketchy in the beginning. He pushed for payments multiple times (this was right when I scheduled for a date). A couple of days later, he asked me if I wanted to schedule multiple appointments. It seemed like he didn't know who I was (even though I had already paid him) and I had to remind him of who I was, what my number was, when I was supposed to fly, and that I had already paid. He's an odd man. But he knows his stuff and he's a good person. read more

This was a first-time paraglide experience for me and it was amazing! Claude is such an experienced and chill guy that I felt completely relaxed and confident in my safety. It was smooth and actually quite peaceful! (I guess partly in thanks to wind conditions). Take-off was graceful - I made sure to pay attention to Claude's instructions and follow them which made everything easier. I got amazing views and was able to use my own camera. Claude even asked if I'd like to use the controls for the glider and I did! It was so fun. For landing, we got to Malibu beach and I was prepared to apologise to the beach goers for crashing into their tent but Claude made sure that didn't happen it was so gentle! The flight was timed perfectly by Claude so my sister and her husband could drive back down and get to the beach spot to film us landing. All in all - great ride. I wanna go again! The hardest part of the experience was actually getting to the take off site (mine was in Los Flores Canyon overlooking Malibu), we drove up the steep and very narrow road (no barriers either) and then I had to trek down a short path by foot to take off site which can be quite tricky and slippery (sand/rocks/bushes) so be prepared - wear good grip trainers or boots and protective clothing. read more

DONT TRUST THIS Person! ! I participated in his courses, which cost 1,200 dollars, and only gave me 5 courses. 3 courses were selling equipment, and 1 time was helping him chop trees. After these classes( which he did not finish my class hour) he went on 4 month VACATION while holding my class money. I don't speak English very well so I asked him before hand if I can learn. he knew about it way before class start. I even brought my translator to the field. He is now racistly saying my English very well. He changes WHEN YOU PAY! DO NOT PAY HIM AHEAD!!!!!!!!!! Every time he pays the money and after paying the money, he has a completely different face. Later I learned that he did not have a license and could not issue a certificate. His flight was completely illegal in the United States and uninsured. Cherish life. He was horrible. read more

This service is horrible. Please be aware of Claude the person that contacts you. Unfortunately he kept having his friends fly first before this customers. I was the only person and yet I had to wait two hours to take off? I would really like a refund but unfortunately again I got this service from Groupon. After a few hours I received a text from his guy Claude calling me a little biatch, if you want to be Man handled and not given any instructions on how to takeoff or land then enjoy this service. The owner claude was nice at first, then I sent him an 800$deposit, he said I would be getting my unit in a week. Then 3 weeks later nothing. then I asked for a refund because of personal matters and he has blocked all my phone numbers and will not resppond to my emails. I think this business is a scam. I am taking him to small claims court, but he will not respond. Please be careful with claude he can be deceiving. New message 11:30am , Saturday may 13th. In response to your response. This is the first time you have offered to send to me anywhere in the world. Also, now that I found your yelp this is the first time you have communicated to me in a long time. If I could put negative stars I would. I had to horrible experiences with Claude the man that always does the paragliding for this company which I am under the assumption that this is his own company because if he worked for anyone he would have been fired. My first experience Claude met with my boyfriend and I, he had just came back from vacation and seemed very irritated and I noticed that the flight was a lot shorter than promised. The flight that we purchased was a 30 minute in-flight with a video and we ended up getting about 12 to 15 minutes tops each and we never got a video from him. I tried contacting him plenty of times after The first experience because I want it footage of my first time doing an experience like this and he had disappointed me and my boyfriend by telling us that he did not have the video. Then to make matters worse he did not offer a partial refund or anything. After that My mom was so desperate to go paragliding and land on Malibu beach so I purchased a Groupon for my mom mistakenly by the same guy which I did not realize until he started texting back and emailing back and I realized it was the same name. He told us that he could do a paragliding flight with my mom on June 20 and then he completely forgot about us I did not get back to us until after a half an hour after we were supposed to meet him. We wasted one whole day on vacation driving to the meeting point to wait for him because he did not respond and we did not want to lose out on the opportunity. Then he had the audacity to contact us on the 27th when he lives in Malibu and we are all the way from Philadelphia and he is very aware of this, he asked us if there was any other time we could do the paragliding and I replied telling him we are from Philadelphia and he knew that so no there is not another time and the offer expires in October and we will not be back in LA from Philadelphia before that. He refused to give a refund and does not answer any text messages. He is very selfish and rushes through everything with this business. He is the worst business owner ever and I do not feel safe with him because of the way he rushes and is so unprofessional. AND DEF DONT EXPECT YOUR VIDEO FOOTAGE!!!! He is a horrible horrible man. My mom had 5 things she wanted before she turned 70 and this was one and he upset her so much and wasted our whole day on vaca. INCONSIDERATE man! For my 40th birthday, I was given a paramotor lesson, video, and solo flight with Claude as my teacher. I should have researched this more closely, but I figured everything would be fine. He said a second student had cancelled last minute, but that we could still meet up. He delayed our meeting by another hour, then surprised my by changing our meeting location at the last minute. I arrived on time, but he didn't. Eventually he showed up, and told me we had to wait for a ride. I spoke to his friend Dan about how paragliding works, but Claude kinda wandered off. Eventually, a female Uber driver showed up with her car. This was the first instruction he offered: He insisted I sit in the back with his buddy while we drove off with a couple of their bags in the trunk. Then, he diverted his attention to our driver, and told me nothing further. It wasn't clear where we were going, what we were doing, or when my lesson would start. Though he was clearly focused on flirting with our driver. We trespassed onto some private property (quickly driving past a private gate before it closed) and piled out of the car. I was angry and confused: "What are we doing here? Where is the paramotor? When does my lesson start?" Now, far from my car, feeling lost and clueless, Claude decided to talk to me. He sighed and told me he doesn't do solo lessons, and since the other student cancelled, he wasn't doing a lesson. And, obviously it's too windy to use a paramotor, so we don't have one. "I don't control the weather" he said flippantly. (I'm not sure why someone seeking a first lesson on paramotors would know what the right weather conditions for using them would be). Instead, he said, I can do a tandem flight with him, and we're looking for a place to take off from. I'd explicitly written on his site that I did NOT want a tandem flight. I wanted to fly solo and learn how things work. Instead, he said I could just come back out another time and do the lesson then. This was 3 hours after I'd arrived in Malibu. I was furious...this was not what I'd asked for. I'd been taught nothing, and his extremely casual reaction was...puzzled. Why wouldn't O want to waste another day on this glamorous experience? He shrugged and got back to hitting on our driver. We drove to other spots on private property, until he found a location he and his buddy liked. We trudged to the top of a hill and then he presented his grand solution: He said he couldn't fly solo with his rig, and wasn't going back to my car. He said I could do the tandem, but I again refused. So, he asked the uber driver to give me her keys, and he would fly her down to the beach. And (for reasons totally unclear to me) that's what she did. Yep, my 40th birthday gift became driving a stranger's car through the hills near Malibu back to my car. I left the keys behind the gas cap of his truck, and drove home. He has not been in touch since, though hopefully he got to hook up with our driver. I'd hate to think that the day was a waste for all of us. read more

Highly recommended experience. Claude was great and friendly. After reading some reviews I was a bit nervous of what my experience would be like. It was GREAT! I bought my flights directly through Claude and booking was very easy with him. You do need to drive up the mountain (expected to start the flight) and patient with making sure the winds are just right to fly. My flight was about 15 minutes. My boyfriend and I flew and the whole process took about 3 hours, so make sure you schedule plenty of time for this. Overall great experience. read more

Crazy foggy until noon so Claude suggested we fly off the canyons in Thousand Oaks. A bit of a ride but we got there and my friend (65 yr old grandma) had fun and loved it!! Then I flew after lunch from top of Malibu Canyon down to the beach, landing next to sunbathers. Great view, awesome fun!! Not scary at all and low impact on the body. I've done skydiving, hang gliding, scuba diving, and parasailing before. I would say, logistics notwithstanding, this is a great experience!! read more

Very disappointing! I paid $200 for a paramotor 30 minute flight. I explained to Claude that for two years I have wanted to paramotor and I had no desire to paraglide. My wife and I drove for 2 hours and when we got there he texted that i could only paraglide. There was a little fog. He kept talking about how great paragliding is and I reminded him that I don't want that. He's the boss of the company so he won. I went paragliding. I timed the flight. It was 10 minutes. Claude is a great world class pilot. He makes sure that you are comfortable and enjoy your flight. He explains everything and wants you to ask questions. His gear is state of the art and fresh. When I need to rent gear or book a tandem he always goes over and beyond to make sure that we have everything covered. Tough experience. TL; DR I rarely write reviews, but felt compelled to warn others of my frustrating experience. On April 18th, 2018, I went to the web site and bought a paramotor lesson as a birthday gift for my brother. This was set to be an individual lesson (not tandem flight). The company's representative asked him to drive over an hour to meet at a location. From there, they went to several other locations. Over three hours later, they arrived at a site where the lesson would occur. However, the company's representative did not have a paramotor flier. He only offered my brother a paragliding tandem flight. This is not what was ordered, and I even checked a box saying not to exchange paramotor lesson with a paragliding lesson. It may be worth noting that an Uber driver shuffled my brother and the instructor/owner (Claude Fiset) from place to place. Instead of addressing my brother's concerns about switching plans last minute, after hours already wasted, the instructor had my brother take the Uber driver's vehicle back to his car while he offered the Uber driver a tandem flight. (I'm not a writer, I couldn't make this part up.) Overall, the company wasted six hours of my brother's time. The company should have been clear on the expectations for the day. Most importantly, the company never intended to provide the contracted and paid service and deceived me as the payer. When I contacted the owner (Claude Fiset) for a refund he did not acknowledge my brother's waste of time and he did not offer a refund. The owner claimed that this was a unique experience. However, looking at other Yelp reviews, I see that's not true. I truly hope you avoid what my brother and I went through. read more

What I loved: - View from Saddle Peak is amazing, beautiful, clear!!! - 20-30 minute "ride" - Smooth ride all the way down, totally feel one with nature :) - Not scary taking off from cliff - for those who are not adrenaline junkies, this is perfect for you. - Beach landing is awesome!!!! - Nice instructor, serious about safety What would've been nice to know beforehand and some tips if going for the first time: - Meeting expectations, address on Groupon was an apartment building address. Initially we were confused... - We drove to take off site in our car - Road is very winding, be prepared if you are prone to motion sickness, bring a barf bag - Once you get to the top, you walk to take off site, be prepared to slide on sloping mountain. Grab gate if you need help balancing. - If you have a helmet camera, bring it. - How to properly land...when you touch down on the beach, keep moving. Do not just stand there. - Groupon made it sound like video was included, but reality was your loved one videos you from a nearby tower - Be sure to go with a friend, so they can pick you up at the beach - If wind conditions are not good, you'll most likely go paramotoring from the beach or drive to another jump site Would definitely do this again!!!! read more

My husband and I had a great experience. Claude was very experienced and professional and I appreciated his regard for safety first. My flight was about 10 minutes and my husband got about 15 minutes. I understand the wind and weather are a huge factor, it was just disappointing because of the price tag. One thing to expect is a ton of running around to possible take-off sights and some waiting. I wasn't expecting that and we were on a tight schedule. We ended up taking over 3 hours for the two of us. Also, the drive up to the top of the mountain is pretty twisty, tight and rough on your car. We weren't expecting that either. I'm a paramotor and paraglider pilot and I think Claude is one of our most unique and beloved tandem operators in the world. Not shy of controversy Claude is as real as it gets and will always give you his honest opinion, whether you like it or not. Although a bit eccentric and egotistical (what pilot isn't?) his confidence and grace is more than appreciated when in a stressful situation like take off. Launching with Claude is a breeze. Even though we messed up our first launch because Claude tripped on his backpack that he accidentally placed right in his launch path, Claude managed to stay on his feet, shut the motor off, and launch again within seconds. He handled the situation with class and grace, only letting out a couple expletives before effortlessly setting back up the wing and taking off like nothing happened. My husband and I met with the instructor Claude in Malibu, he was on time and we followed him to the jumping location in the hills, just a few minutes from the meeting point. Unfortuneately the wind was nearly gone while we got ready and at the end there was no glinding possible that day but we will try it again....Claude was knowlegeable, trustworthy, friendly and fun to be with. Being up in the air on a beautiful day is magical, but it wasn't fun with this pilot. Clearly the only thing that Claude is interested in is your money, not the experience you have. He was over an hr late, I was forgiving but it only got worse from there. (He actually tried canceling while i was pulling up to beach access meeting point after many days of different times). Terrible take off brushing right through tree tops, boring flight just sitting up there nothing to show you what a paraglider can do, negative small talk and chatter from Claude while youre up there trying to absorb the beauty of it all...and then straight back to beach in maybe a 1/2 hr. I was told we would ride back to the car (at jump point) with new customer but was left to get back on my own which took over an hr. Claude quickly left with his new customer after of course making them also wait over an hr. Overall it was a lousy experience not worth the money he charges and I'm reporting him to BBB for seriously lacking professionalism manner and ethics. Buyer be ware go try this else where, this guy is NOT GOOD Pilot or good guy he could careless if you have a nice time or not. Unkind, uncaring and lazy would best describe Claude. Its really too bad because its close by and I would have gone on a regular basis if it were fun but it was not. Was gifted this for my Birthday cause I'm an adrenaline junkie and love crazy stuff like this. This was purchased thru groupon. You must call ahead to make an appointment. This was located in Malibu, when you call for appointment the owner will give you an address to meet. We arrived early and took a walk down the beach until the gentleman show up. He was the owner operator the the chute. Nice and friendly guy, wish he mentioned ahead of time that we will be driving up the mountain and would need a ride up there ahead of time cause I made the appointment for 2 people and with him would make 3. I have a 2 seater and was very inconvenience because we had to try to fit 3 people In a 2 seaters. If I knew ahead, I would've brought a bigger car. I must say, I like paragliding way better than skydiving because I was able to glide about 30 mins in the sky and landed on Malibu beach with gorgeous scenery. The owner was very nice and made it pleasant and informative while we were up in the air. He tried very hard to make conversation with me and nice enough to explain certain area of Malibu. Never thought I'd have an issue with another paraglide pilot, if he's a pilot at all. Save yourself a lot of frustration and money and fly with a reputable paraglide center.
