If you have a reservation, they whisk you away on their little shuttle boat from the Lucibello Company pier right in the middle of Spiaggia Grande (Positano's main beach). Calling it a "shuttle" almost feels too ordinary, it's more like a mini Amalfi Coast sea adventure. You bounce over sparkling water, cruise past dramatic cliffs, and for a moment you wonder if you're being transported to a secret beach society that only the very lucky know about (which you really are lol) The ride itself is honestly half the fun. It's scenic, breezy, and just adventurous enough to make you feel like you earned your lunch. When you finally arrive at Arienzo Beach Club, the whole place somehow manages to be lively yet relaxed, with great music, it's the kind of spot where you instantly forget what day it is and consider canceling all responsibilities forever. The food? Absolutely delicious. Fresh, bright, and exactly what you want to eat after a small but heroic 8 minute sea voyage. Every dish felt like it belonged there, with the Mediterranean doing most of the flavor work. And the service was superb. The staff somehow balance professionalism with the warm energy of people who genuinely want you to have the best day possible. Eventually, they shuttle you back to Spiaggia Grande again (another beautiful boat ride), and you return to Positano slightly sun kissed, very well fed, and wondering why every beach day in life can't start with a boat adventure. 10/10 would happily get "stranded" there again. Oh yeah! Almost forgot! We booked the "First row, VIP Day by the Sea" package, which included: A bottle of Dom Pérignon, front row stay for the day, two course lunch, towels, and chilled water!

We took the little boat on a scenic ride over from Marina Piccolo, picked out a great location for our beach chairs and umbrella, then had a lovely lunch at the restaurant at the top, overlooking the ocean. Service was quick and attentive. We had the fried zucchini flowers stuffed w/ goat cheese - pretty good, but honestly, pricey ($25) and not as good as the ones we get back in San Diego at Cucina Urbana. We then shared a fried assortment of shrimp and calamari, which was tasty (although not quite as good as the ones we had at Da Fernando beach club in Positano). My daughter enjoyed her fresh catch of the day - sea bream (sold by weight, $45). And we had a bottle of white local Amalfi wine that we really enjoy and is only $32/bottle, Falaghina. All in all, it was about $450 for the 3 of us for lunch, drinks, beach chairs, umbrella and boat transport ($10/person each way). But best of all was lounging on the rocks in the little cove, overlooking the beautiful towering Faraglioni rock formations, and swimming in the crystal blue waters. It's super salty, so it was effortless to just float and relax. There were about a dozen well-dressed Italian guys celebrating a bachelor party, singing and dancing, and doing shots, which added to the fun, Italian ambiance. At Da Luigi, however, the prices felt completely out of proportion to what was offered. The sunbeds were basic, clunky metal beds and looked anything but luxurious. Normally, a beautiful beach club is a place where you enjoy taking photos and capturing the atmosphere -- here, we honestly felt almost embarrassed to take pictures because the setting simply did not match the image or price level you would expect from a premium beach club in Capri. The staff were friendly, which we appreciated, but unfortunately that was not enough to make up for the overall experience. The food was average at best, while the prices were extremely high and, in our opinion, unjustified. Paying €20 for an avocado is just one example. We don't mind spending money on a great beach club experience, but there has to be value behind the price. Here, there simply wasn't. Considering the location and the prices charged, we expected something special. Instead, it was one of the biggest disappointments we have experienced at a beach club anywhere in the world. It's less crowded and more secluded than the main beach club in Positano. We happened to be staying across the road which was lucky. If not, the beach club actually has a boat that will ferry you over from the main Positano area. The space isn't huge, so be sure to make a reservation in advance. In addition to reserving a chair you can also reserve a time slot to have lunch at the restaurant. 20 euro gets you a chair with a sun shade, a towel and an umbrella. We got there early and had first pick at a seat. If you can, I suggest doing the same. It was really nice to have views of the ocean (instead of another chair) in front of us. But honestly, the beach is so beautiful that there really isn't a bad seat anywhere. A chair also includes waitress service. There is an extensive drink menu with tons of cocktails, spritzes, wines, beers, frozen drinks and smoothies. Prices are very reasonable for a beach club -- cocktails are around 10 and bottles of wine 20. We weren't expecting much for lunch but the restaurant was actually phenomenal. The grilled octopus came with a huge portion and was super fresh. The ravioli pomodoro was perfectly al dente and stuffed with a delicious ricotta cheese. The grilled eggplant was simple and cooked in flavorful olive oil. Lunch was also fairly priced, and service was fast. The seats also overlook the water, so it's a beautiful and relaxing dining setting. Two people can walk away after a full day of fun and sun, eat and drink well, and spend not much over 100 euro. I strongly suggest making sure that your Positano itinerary includes a day to spend relaxing at Bagni. You won't regret it.
