Food: I went with the Chicken Yassa which I found to be delicious. Demolished the whole thing and wanted more. Nice seasoning on the chicken, good balance with the rice, cucumber and tomato. Price: $15.95 for the dish (as of June 12, 2025). Pretty good amount of food. Price was about average to what I might expect. Service: Walk up to the counter to order. Food was ready in about 10 minutes. Parking: Street parking. There is ample parking in the area.

We had been to a Senegalese restaurant only once before and really enjoyed it, so the wait combined with the aroma was one of those Carly Simon "Anticipation" moments. My lamb order was not chunks of lamb but thinly sliced lamb chops grilled, so you had the flavor and the sear. The chicken dishes were equally savory as well as the accompanying sides. The ladies behind the counter were just so friendly, it was as much a pleasure to chat with them as it was to dine there.

We tried the recommended Maffe Yap, a beef stew with peanut & tomato sauce over rice, and the Chicken Yassa, which came with some veggies, grilled onions and rice. That dish was the better of the two. The portions were large. We took a lot of food home. The flavors were pretty good but despite the sauce it was kind of dry. The rice was was undercooked, and slightly raw inside each grain. I mean, come on guys! Don't serve undercooked rice! It's the easiest thing you can cook! That's why I can't give full stars to Kabba's Kitchen. Sure wish I could. Try a little harder, Kabba!

As you can see from the pic it's missing those dark grill marks from the seasoning, what he made was what seems like a plain unseasoned chicken bites! It lacked the smoky seasoned and savory flavor. Not sure what he was feeling that day. I'll still come back, let's hope he'll grill and season the chicken right next time! And please bring back the Black Eyed Peas salad, another fave!

They even make cabbage taste wonderful! The menu is balanced - offering a wide array of vegetarian and meat options. The combination of great service and to-die-for food makes Bete-Lukas our absolute favorite place to eat. My partner has a very restrictive diet, but is able to eat almost everything on the menu because the ingredients are fresh and the food is authentically prepared.

It was piping hot and, well seasoned. I find eating with my hands quite satisfying when it's necessary. Service~Our waiter was very nice, attentive and, a straight shooter (we like that). Asking questions, talking, laughing, and joking was pretty pleasant. I wanted to substitute the green beans but, he advised me that it really helped balance the meal. My man loves greens beans but, he was willing to change it if I didn't like it once it came to the table. Ambiance~Open only Wed~Sun 5-8:00 it's located on a busy/residential street. It has very limited parking in front and, in general. You are going to have hit a few blocks (1-4 hr) because, it's a lot of 30 min parking signs on this particular street. It upstairs on the second floor of the red building. It's a very spacious, clean, and restrooms to the right of you! I would highly recommend this spot for date, family, or a chill night out (lighting is just right)!!!

The restaurant offers 5-course meal that includes soup, salad, b'stilla, a choice of main dish (we got lamb, chicken , fish) and dessert. Charge by person even kids. They have à la carte menu but we were not offered that on the day. Food is good. Super big portion. I doubt anyone will be able to finish it. You can easily eat 2-3 meals out of it. Chicken with lemon/olive is wonderful. Soft and easy to pull off the meat. Lamb is tender, love the carrots on the side. Fish is cooked beautifully, didn't like the sauce that much tho, a bit sweet for me. The bread, appetizer, the soup are all big portion and literally fill me up. I was trying my best not to eat much so I could have my entree. The seating really throw me off. It's low cushion chair. My outfit of that day was definitely not for that. I had such an issue eating the entire meal. And because i was crunched over, all the food was kinda stuck at my stomach. Decor is exotic. You feel you are in a different country. But again the seats I just can't.

But it looks like there was a prefixed dinner deal on Groupon. I would not recommend this restaurant for people who would not be comfortable sitting in very low seats with very low tables. Most of the seating is backless Moroccan poufs (Americans may consider them footstools). There are no alternative options to sit more upright. It was really tough for my 76-year-old dad to be comfortable in his seat but we still had a blast. The server was extraordinary and very patient with us, not knowing anything. She guided us and we enjoyed the experience very much. Starting with a beautiful metal pot where she poured warm water over our hands to cleanse them, Moroccan beer and Moroccan wine, a cold eggplant salad, nice bread, and lentil soup to start, followed by a unique meat pastry. We ordered the chicken with preserved lemons and olives as well as marinated hare. Our dinner was followed with a dessert and lovely mint tea. The belly dancer was a nice surprise for us. I loved it, but would really make sure that you're comfortable sitting in extra low seating.
