Jakob had power washed my mom's house for $250, taking 2-3 hours, so I hired him to paint my house. He said to ignore the bad yelp reviews, as they were not true. He also said he had a crew of experienced painters and would make sure they were available to paint my house, so I gave him a $5,000 deposit. Big mistake. He showed up with just himself and a young inexperienced kid who's only job was to pick up paint chips! I was charged $50 per hour for this kid! Never agreed to pay $50/hour for a young kid in training; $50/hr was supposed to be for professional painters! First day was 5 hours of power spraying the house, driveway and half the garage. Next day Jakob worked 1.5 hours. Following day Jakob worked 4.5 hours scraping half the house and half the garage while the kid picked up paint chips. Last day he was here Jakob worked 2 hours, spray staining the fence the wrong color while the kid held the hose. That's it! 13 Hours of work plus a few hours of actual work for the kid for $5,000? There is no way power spraying and scraping half the house/garage and staining a small fence could possibly take 70+ hours!!! There were no "experienced painters" to do my windows and a professional job as originally promised. Jakob power washed my house and driveway and spray painted my little fence the wrong color. We got into an argument over the color which was supposed to be light oak, not Red Cedar and because he wanted to paint my house all "flat" and I wanted the trim and shutters in satin (semi-gloss) for looks and easier cleaning. He said NO and walked away, yelling at me, acting extremely unprofessional. Never got my deposit back. All he did was less than 15 hours of actual work and train the kid on how to power washing a driveway. Other than that the kid picked up paint chips or waited for Jakob to show up. Now I have to take Jakob and his company to court for refund of deposit and damages he did to my house. He cut big chunks of wood out of the side of my house, cut down one of my pine trees and butchered the rest, and also painted my fence the wrong color. DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY!! He is not honest or professional. Wish I had listened to the other reviews!
