    Disgusting Disgusting Disgusting as this building is filled with infestation of roaches and mice, they have been working on the apt upstairs and yellow water is leaking from the ceiling cracked all my ceilings and old 100 yr old windows that close and or stay open cause their jammed in every room as it's a two bedroom and I've told them about the issue and ohh I have to clear this area and that area which I paid out of pocket years back for full Repairs and quality paint work directly to the superintendent and that was a awful move where I was charged 16000 dollars which I still might have receipts, my window was broken all winter and the superintendent tells me I have to clear out the area and he comes to do the job when money is a factor before every lil thing had to be paid for infested Hallways with Spider webbing in the staircases and can't get a hold of anyone even cleared out the area and no reply this is disgraceful as I came home after a 4 day getaway and as soon as I entered the building I starting getting clogged throat stuffy nose and the guy that came to Test The Led in the paint had a load box in his hand and would scan that instead of the walls and been texting the superintendent Boilers Always Broken And packages constantly being stolen as I have to run to get my package even though they cameras in the hallway but no footage don't even work properly, extremely frustrating constantly telling me I have too much stuff in the apt it's a two bedroom with two ppl living here and I've gone crazy with roach infestation the Exterminator supposed to come every Thursday and screams in the hallway "Exterminator" Anyone need "Exterminating" never heard knocking bell on door is so cheap you push a bit too hard it breaks, extremely frustrating and now I have cracked ceilings in every room and and bubbles paint from leaks from the work their doing off business hours sometimes even 10 pm at night no rules or regulations the superintendent works full time somewhere else and never able to get in touch with.!! If You are looking for a apartment please do your full research or avoid the Property on Avenue K as also there's a group of guys smoking cigarettes after Cigerette in front of building and speaking extremely loud at 1 Am at times, Kids Running in the Hallways throughout the day if it's too cold and or if it's too Hot and Midwood Field is literally up 3 streets and there's a beautiful park on Avenue L literally 3-6 min walk but screaming and hollering in the hallway and let's not even talk about the rent fee as one late payment is covered entitled to be returned but never late and for some apparent reason on autopay still get charged if a day late and that's due to there negligence and I have a Ten Day Grace Period which they tell us to book in the 5th cause their either have so many holidays and are off of submit the payment late on their end. Waiting to save money and to get out of here..if your looking for a apartment AVOID THEIR PROPERTY ON AVENUE K AND IF ITS Extremely RAINING NO ONE MOPS or Puts A Mat While stepping in building and this lil dog that lives on the second floor and is barking day and night with 6 Children in a two bedroom apartment and roaches crawling throughout there apartment..! Very Upsetting don't know what to do call 311 unfortunatelyit seems like they get something under the table and never come to check.!!!

    Terrible, terrible landlords..... They've rented out a unit (1233 Ocean Ave) to me, which ended up being infested with mice (dead mice in the oven and in the staircase). Initially, I asked to break the lease due to the inhabitable living conditions and demanded my money back, and was told that I wasn't going to get my money back. After the back and forth for multiple days between the realtor (Premier One Realty) and the management company, I was told to speak with Steve (at Premier One Realty). He told me I wasn't going to get my security deposit back, but after even more back and forth, he finally told me it was my "lucky day" and I was going to get all my money back. Manipulation at its finest. They wanted me to settle with a mice infested apartment, or break the lease and lose money that I'm not obligated to lose. They have no official email address or phone number, and refuse to document anything through email or writing. They also decline to speak to you and want you to speak to them through the realtors... Stay away from these crooks!

    My husband and I recently moved into and out of 1233 Ocean Ave. All of the other reviews are spot on and 100% accurate. The apartment is in a grungy building and the unit was infested with cockroaches. Big ones, baby ones, spiders, a tick, gnats, it's uninhabitable and downright disgusting. We spent 1 night here and then left, sleeping on the floor of our old apartment instead. I told the realtor from Premier One and the super (who very infrequently replied to anything) and they offered for me to miss a day of work to have the apartment sprayed, as they only offer an extermination company who works 9-5 M-Friday. This apartment and this building is waaay beyond a bug spray; they were crawling out of the cabinets, out of the drawers, on the floor, up the walls, and even found them in my refrigerator! Aside from the infestation, the dishwasher is not functional and two outlets in the kitchen are not functional. It was a total waste of money and quite frankly a disaster. Thankfully we were able to move out immediately! I would never, ever recommend living in this building or any other building owned by this company. Do not have any optimism that it may turn out better than you think, or that these reviews are too harsh because they are the truth.

    we have lived at 1215 ocean for just under a year June will make a year. from the first day, we move in there had been problems we when came to move in we told by the super that the place would not be ready tell the next day the moving truck was on its way that day. the place was never cleaned as promised and they had just started painting we had to move in a dirty apt as there were painting we were promised that this would be all done before we move in let me also add we had not toilet set for a week. now as I stated we have been living here just under a year in that time we have had to deal with MICE 14 mice to date and been trying get rid of the 15th one now. we have call management and granted they have seen someone out every time but what they're doing has not worked. where you do call the office the people just talk over you and say we will send some out. there is never follow up or I am sorry this has happened once our year is up we get out there. not only do we have to deal with mice. rude people that live there and at loud all hours of the day. management has done nothing about that as well. PLEASE, PEOPLE DONT RENT HERE ALL IT IS, IS A HIGH PRICE NYCH APT.

    This building is filled with mold. The management company will get you to move in and hide this issue. HPD has been called, they violate court orders and will paint over it until you're fed up and move out at which point they will proceed to hike up the rent and do it all over again

    Even on the coldest day of the year with NO HEAT, bugs are out because of the sickening dampness and leaks in 470 Ocean Pkwy Brooklyn!

Yes, miracles do exist…read more The hubby and I wandered into this real estate agency after seeing an apt a couple blocks away. We sat down with one of the real estate agents and she seemed completely confused and befuddled by our wants (an apt). Step in Josephine. We sat down with her an explained what we were looking for. Challenge. We had no jobs, a dog and a really weird timeframe to work with, plus we lived out of state. She found what seemed like a great apt within our limited budget and was willing to show my sister the place since I was out of town by that point. Someone else ended up getting the place because my sister just couldn't get there in time. Fast forward a few months. Numerous delays kept us from moving. I called Josephine and left a message. Within an hour, she called me back. She wasn't too hopeful that we'd find anything that fit us but said she'd call us back if something popped up on the radar. Lo and behold, two weeks later, she did call back and had found a place that met our criteria. Ultimately we ended up finding an apt through owner via craigslist. The only time I've felt bad. This is the one real estate agent I would have gladly paid a broker's fee. I cannot recommend her enough if you need an agent for Kensington or Windsor Terrace.

From the time I met him to now the amounts of building he manages has expanded and even went on to managing commercial. I was referred to chezi by my friend and since using him to manage the units we have never had any problems. Any issues with tenants he has dealt with from going to court for representation or assisting with finding me someone to fix a small issue at a very cheap price. He's helped me a lot and I can not recommend him enough as a property manager. He also manages one of my cousins house after he had to relocate and goes above and beyond to ensure everything is in working condition and the tenants are happy. I definitely recommend if you need someone to manage a building, commercial property or residential property. Oh! And he's available ALL THE TIME which is great he always answered my questions or concerns very promptly and the tenants say the same!

The quick backstory to why "back into the apartment" was said. A fire on November 2022, caused half of the building to be temporarily vacant. My grandmother was one of the apartments affected. Fast forward, it is now the end of April 2023, and my grandmother has not moved back into her home. Due to the water damage caused by the fire, and the repairs made to the damages, my grandmother is now allowed to "move back in". Upon receiving back the key, as another person would do, we expected the apartment to make sure it was indeed moveable. We noticed issues before the fire with the bathroom and the kitchen have not been resolved. Since we've complained to the office about the living conditions of the bathroom and kitchen many times, we decided to redress the issue before moving back into the apartment. On April 27, 2023, my mother went on behalf of my grandmother to the Jones Equities office to request repairs before my grandmother returned to her home. Resubmitting the photos and readdressing the issue, Dorothy told my mother; 1. If repairs are made, the rent goes up, and 2. "It is a privilege to be allowed back into the apartment." My grandmother has rented from Jones Equities for over 30 years. Her first apartment at 415 Argyle Rd, Apt 3F, was forced to move out due to unfair rent increases, having to downgrade and move into her current apartment. My grandmother took the apartment because it was affordable and out of fear of the thought of being homeless. The video of the flood happened in August 2019. (unable to upload video on here) A pipe burst inside of her toilet, and the fire department was called, resulting in them having to go deep inside the toilet to tighten the pipe that caused the flood. Due to the flood not being her fault, my grandmother was promised by one of the former managers she would be reimbursed for all damages that were caused to her belongings. My grandmother was never reimbursed. My grandmother went out of her savings to replace all of her belongings. My grandfather who suffers from multiple sclerosis was moved to a nursing home due to his falls because of the uneven floors. My grandmother now suffers from dementia, and being in a familiar place with a loved one to care for her will help aid. However, living under these circumstances is not livable. From the patch-up work underneath the toilet and the walls in the bathroom. The floors, the bare minimum paint job on the kitchen cabinets, and barely open draws are disgusting and disrespectful. It is disrespectful to state it is a privilege to move back into your home when you were a victim of unforsaken circumstances! It is clear that the situation regarding the apartment is unacceptable, and the response from the office staff is utterly insensitive to the long-term tenant's needs. The lack of proper repairs and compensation for damages caused by the flood and the uneven floors pose a significant risk to the safety and well-being of the tenant and her family. It is essential that Jones Equities address these issues immediately and provide proper support and compensation to their tenants. To say that it is a privilege to move back into one's home is disrespectful and shows a lack of empathy and care for their tenants. Landlords and property management companies must prioritize the safety and well-being of their tenants and provide them with the respect and dignity they deserve.

    Please run from these scamlords. They were dishonest about all sorts of stuff including…read morebuilding+unit ownership (look up Danny's known alias -- "rahim siunykalimi") and they forced us into a shady sublet. We NEVER received ANY document signed (or any communication or proof of life whatsoever) from the person we were allegedly subletting from. We were harassed and cursed at in our apartment by the misogynistic handymen on more than one occasion. There was a dead tenant in a unit on the first floor for 6 months and they never did a wellness check. Then they pushed us to move out and refused us the option to sign a legit lease to reside there a second year... and then one day Danny showed up at our door with literally 20 people to give tours of our unit after texting us just a a few hours earlier requesting to give tours to "a few" groups. He did not wait for us to respond consenting to the tours before he showed up with a crowd at our door, and he became very angry when after the 8th tour group we began to express discomfort with him bringing such a large volume of strangers into the apartment, given that he failed to give sufficient notice and had obviously intentionally misrepresented the number of tours he intended to give. He raised his voice at us once we spoke up for ourselves and called me a "m*therf*cker" when I told him to leave after he completed all the tours. Please please please save yourselves from the headache and disrespect from these guys. I wish we had been warned about them.
