We have 3 dogs and really needed a fence ASAP upon moving in and he helped us tremendously in getting it done super fast! We were so appreciative as I know it was a huge undertaking in a short time. There was nothing in the box that even resembled a finished cabinet, all flat pieces of wood with connectors. Jacob Shoemake came out the day after I called, arrived on time, and set to work. He took a box of wooden slabs and turned it into a beautiful cabinet in about two hours. The cabinet is even more beautiful than I expected. He charged me $130 for two hours of steady work which I thought was reasonable and fair. If I have any more handyman-type jobs, I will call Jacob first.

Within a few days he emailed a quote outlining the demolition, labor and materials costs for composite vs wood decking. The quote was detailed, yet easy to understand and thorough. Due to a family emergency on our part we were not able to schedule the repair immediately, but when we were ready he got us on his schedule within a couple of weeks. Stephen, his partner, led the crew, as they basically rebuilt the deck in a couple of days. Throughout the process Daniel and Stephen both kept me informed and answered my questions. The entire crew was very polite and respectful of our property. The worksite was left perfectly clean and the deck looks great!!! I HIGHLY recommend Southern Pine Properties!!

He verbally quoted me $1,500 for an IKEA laminate counter kitchen installation. The cost of the IKEA laminate counter (3 pieces) was only $300. I felt the $1,500 was a bit high but I was having trouble finding someone to install laminate and Victor seemed knowledgeable regarding my project. The project should have taken a day, but Victor was extremely slow. He also let me know he now charges hourly. After day one, he was still setting up his equipment and adjusting my an ikea kitchen drawers which he claimed were off. Not much more done on day 2, day 3, finally started cutting counter tops. I asked him repeatedly where were were on price which he said he would let me know but did not. The evening before he did the actual install on my counter he sent me a text stating he was at $4,500. I was could not even believe this. I did not respond until the next day when he arrived. I had a conversation with him regarding the price he was now charging, he said he had to adjust some cabinets, I did not even pay that much to have my whole IKEA kitchen installed! I knew he was going to leave me is a mess, no counter, sink, etc. I told him to finish and when he was done, I tried to talk with him again about the original $1,500 estimate to now $4,500. He got very heated, so I gave him a check for the full amount which I so regret now but I was uncomfortable with his reaction and wanted him to leave my home. Please beware and don't make the same mistakes I did by hiring Victor who took total advantage of me and he knows it.

Mr. Freeman was knowledgeable, professional, timely, patient and very responsive. I never once felt that we were being pushed into a decision to use a specific product or expand the scope of the project. The office staff was professional and competent. Even after a few issues (incompetence, checks not being issued as promised, etc.) we ran into with our insurance company and delays due to those issues, Mr. Freeman was always there to help. He checked in with me frequently to offer his assistance.
