I hired this contractor in April 2025 for several home repair projects. Within three days, I had paid him about 67% of the agreed labor cost--even though we initially agreed on small payments as the work progressed. At that point, only minimal work had been completed.
On a Friday, he left around midday and never returned, even though rain was expected and much of the siding still needed to be caulked. He didn't communicate when--or if--he planned to return. I was also left with nails, boards with protruding nails, and debris scattered around my home, driveway, and patio.
Given the limited progress, safety issues, and lack of communication, I felt taken advantage of and lost confidence in his ability to complete the job properly. I terminated the agreement and requested a partial refund. He declined, saying the payments were for "extras," though those had not yet been started or clearly explained. He also never responded to my follow-up email for clarification.
This is my honest experience. Others may have had better results, but I strongly recommend getting everything in writing--including the scope of work, payment terms, and how any "extras" will be approved and documented. read more
