Imagine this. You've been battling health issues for five years. Two surgeries in the last eight months, and a round trip to Vanderbilt Health for treatment just two days ago. But when we handed our movie passes, cast member Tiffany held each one up in the air as if inspecting a $20 bill, then called for a manager on her walkie without saying anything. We stood there confused, and when I asked if there was a problem, she said, "We're about to see." We stepped aside so we wouldn't hold up the line and watched other guests be warmly greeted and helped. The manager came, asked a question or two, and told her to check us out, but Tiffany didn't. She continued helping others while we stood there waiting respectfully, not trying to cause a scene, feeling embarrassed as people looked at us, wondering what was going on. It wasn't until my husband spoke up that she finally helped us. The delay wasn't the issue. It was the lack of communication and the way we were made to feel. We were treated with suspicion rather than respect, as though we had done something wrong. Customer service isn't just about selling tickets. This theater is spacious, clean and reclining seats are always a plus. We know it can be chilly and it's the first theater I've seen that sells blankets, but I think other theaters are following the trend. You can purchase tickets in line or use the self serve kiosk. This location has the standard concession stand, but also a bar and grill. You can order and pick up or with the QR code at your seat they'll bring your order to you. read more

They've definitely upped not only their seat game but their food game here. Now you really can get dinner and a movie! Ok so not really because the food is very small and expensive but it's fun to get a random snack instead of just candy. The seats are comfy, the food is good, and I always enjoy myself when I come here. Also, their funnel fries are amazing. You can get them at mensis as well but they're just a tiny bit better here. Had a grand time with the ladies' dinner and a movie. As always, the atmosphere is calm, but baby, you better have your heated blanket or Parker because it's subzero in that place. The best thing to do is pre-purchase tickets to a high demand showing if you want to be sure of a seat. Not a fan of paying for a movie then buying the movie. my wife loves the experience and I like making my wife happy. The food is waaaaaaaaay too expensive but my wife likes to try things randomly. We went here to see the movie best Christmas ever and I had some time before the movie starts, so I went and hung out at the bar and watched some football. I met Cherlandra, she was the bartender. We have been going to this theater since it opened. It used to be the best around! We went tonight, and it was so disgustingly filthy and the seats were broken down. There was visible dirt on all of the seats, and the floors were dirty and sticky. The chairs felt like they were about to fall apart when we reclined. The bathroom was atrocious and it was so humid in the theater. There was also a group in front of us that was smoking/vaping the whole movie. We were really uncomfortable the whole movIe. Clean and comfortable. The concessions are typical. The employees friendly. We watched CandyMan 2. We got there a few minutes early to get situated. The seats were clean & comfortable as was the entire theatre room. My only complaint was there were 2 young children (maybe 3-4 years older) in the theatre. Now, they were doing what young kids are suppose to do, play and be loud. I'm not mad at the babies at all. It's the inconsiderate parents bringing their tiny tots to an R rated movie. Nobody wants to pay $$$ to have a date night, away from their own little kids, to listen to someone else's. It wasn't that type of movie. I heard the employees talking about it as we left. I was doing my date night on Tuesdays with my wife. I went to the restroom during the movie. On my way back to my theater the worker decided to spray me with his spray bottle. The two employees were standing there waiting to go into another theatre to clean. I was on the other side away from them. There was nothing there he should be spraying. I stood in the door of my movie looking at him trying to decide if I should confront him directly or get his manager. This was just a stupid kid and I was too angry. I chose to seek out the manager. I went to the front got the manager. The worker ducked into the theater after he saw me heads to the front. The other two employees didn't run but stood their with their heads down. The manager made him come out and apologize. This kid was lucky it was me. Someone who was having a bad day may have responded differently. Messing with people is not a joke or funny. This is not what I expected from this theaters employees. I missed and extended part of the movie dealing with this idiot. read more

Love the renovated theatre. Love having reserved seats. This is fabulous. They have now opened a bar grill where you can have a glass of wine while you wait or before the show. My issue is the concession lines. Every time we go, there are VERY long lines at the concession stands. I get it, everyone wants some yummy popcorn. But at least have all the registers open AND the staff can have a sense of urgency. I mean they are moving at a snails pace with 4 or 5 lines at least 10 people deep. There has to be something that can make this more efficient. On this visit, I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. My son orders "food" all the time. I usually stick with popcorn. We hadn't had lunch yet, so I went for a meal. What a mistake. First off it took at least 20 minutes or more for our food. My burger was over cooked, cold and way too salty. I couldn't eat it but did not want to get up AGAIN to get it fixed. So I ate the fries and waited until the movie was over. I took it back and the manager was very nice about it and quickly refunded my money. Malco, if you are going to serve food make sure you can execute. You are the premier theater in the area. You will most likely be crowded a lot. Learn how to accommodate the crowds. Please!!!! read more

I do not recommend this establishment due to the employees being rude. They denied our tickets and couldn't even get a refund back.

Theater is comfortable. We've been several times. Beware of dropping your kids off, though. Collierville location has an unwritten policy to refused to allow teens into R movies without an adult. Malco website says the limit applies only after 9 on the weekend, but this location extends it to all hours. Our kids may be behaved, but I get what they deal with, just wish they'd post this location's policies. Highly recommend the other locations, though - Forrest Hill, Ridgeway and Square are consistently great. read more

Ever since the renovations since December, 2017, this movie theater has been stepped up in overall experience, big time. You get to pick your own seats, there is online ordering, there's a bar and you can bring drinks into the screen area, and the seats are very comfortable and have the option to recline. The only bad thing I would have to say is the price for everything. Concessions, drinks, and even the movie. Crazy expensive. Makes me not want to go to the movies unless it's something I really want to see and even that is hard. read more

My family and I came to Screening Room waiting for our movie to start. The service was great! However, the bartenders were not sanitary and clean. I witnessed 1 bartender biting his nails and scratching his head. Another, picked up glasses with his hands in the glass where he is pouring the beverage and hand tucking in his shirt. Last, the third swing his hair out this face with his hand and digging in his ear. All were touching their face. Upgraded theater with recliners, only issue I would report is to purchased tickets online there is a convenience fee, in 2019 really. Do not trust any website advertising movies for this theatre. I used the Fathom Events website to find a theatre showing vintage movies. The website listed this theatre as playing Meet Me in St Louis on Sunday. I took my family to the theatre and was told they were not showing it on that day. I had travelled from Illinois to Memphis in part to see this movie with my grandchildren. We did not have enough time to get to the Paradiso in Memphis to see the movie. We were so disappointed to not be able to see it. Of course, the employees disavowed any responsibility for the lying advertising. Apparently one is to believe a national company just added their theatre by chance. I will never go to this theatre again. Far better to drive the short distance to Memphis to a reputable theatre. Thanks for ruining our afternoon plans. Truth in advertising ought to be required for businesses. read more

Malco is the major movie theater line in Memphis, hosting major movies in this Collierville Town Theatre. This is not the location to find local or independent films. Great for kids and family movies, girls nights, and birthdays. My biggest complaint is the lack of healthy food options available. Even the pretzels have dropped in quality. BRING BACK THE SUPERPRETZEL!!! Would love to see fruit trays, or veggies with hummus available at every single Malco theater, and less of the sugary junk our children are getting cancer from! Everyone is coming to this theater for the nice new seats. They are definitely fabulous and very comfortable. My one complaint is that the concession lines are absolutely insane. We went to a movie on a Tuesday night and there is absolutely no sense of urgency what so ever with any of the staff. I waited in line for over 20 minutes and finally had to say forget it so I didn't miss the previews. I tried again about an hour into my movie and the lines were still crazy. I understand if it's an opening weekend or a packed night but this was not the case. The lines were not moving at all. There seemed to be multiple staff members there just walking around aimlessly. If I'm going to spend $25 to see a movie and get a coke and some candy, I would hope I didn't have to wait 45 minutes to do so. read more
