Here they serve stand-out dishes from Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia! Food: I got to try the beef rendang and the beef krapow - both are must-haves. If you are concerned about eating too much beef, this is the one time where it is okay! There are vegetables and fragrant rice to balance it out. The depth of flavour and boldness of their special spice blend transports you to another part of the world. I personally did not find the dishes spicy-hot and was happy with that spice level. I only tasted two other beef rendangs in my life but this is so far my #1. Service/atmosphere: There is limited seating so take-out is encouraged. I luckily got to dine-in and enjoyed seeing all the action in the open kitchen. I remember watching the oil splatter out of the wok when the fried runny egg was cooking - that takes risk. Price: The amount of work that goes into their focused menu is worth the price =)

I have been to those countries, so I didn't find their food mimicked the way it should. Recently, they expanded their menu. They even have breakfast menu. I got some bao buns with tempeh; super delicious. On the side, I took the papaya salad; it is certainly zingy. The service is super friendly, but it is kind of slow to receive the food for a fast food type a place, but at the same time they are preparing our food on the spot with every right amount spices... so perfection takes extra minutes, therefore the patience is a must.

The recipes are unique and delicious, the portions are generous, the staff is always polite and personable, and preparation is usually quick. Thank goodness it set up shop there to break the monotony of typical hospital foodcourt fare. But today they get only a 3 star review. I've supported asian-owned and/or asian-themed businesses since the pandemic, going out of my way to support great places. It's my pleasure to do so, and since I was at metro Vendome I took a detour to Kim Jen Ming. Doubled up my masking at the entrance to get in; today the mask disposal station was an alarmingly unhygienic gauntlet to walk by. Usually I eat on the spot, but that mask station was alarming so this time ordered the pork curry to go. It's tender and delicious, comes with rice, and is such a generous serving that it could serve two people. I held the bag level as I walked back into the metro system, but while seated in the car discovered the curry had leaked all over my jeans as I held it on my lap. Luckily I had a cloth bag with me in which I then put it, otherwise the container would have fallen through the wet paper bag. This resto has been in business many years, has survived 3 years of pandemic, and is part of an established multiple restaurant family, and they don't know how to package meals to go? Obviously the food was too heavy for the super basic aluminum tray and cardboard top, or it wasn't closed properly. It's ridiculous that they sell food to go with this inferior packaging. It's not like I was swinging the bag. That's why you only get 3 stars, Kim Jen Ming, and this review that's trying to warn people against your takeout options. Would have been 2 stars except for the aforementioned merits. You need to fix this.

Crowd of people who aren't looking for a soup base dinner third offer A westernized menu for 12.75$. It's also very customizable from ox sliced tongue to fried pork chops. We ordered the laksa soup , the deep fried pork chop with rice, Bacon and onion cream sauce and The sausage luncheon meat and pan fried egg. You could substitute the rice for spaghetti or penne for a dollar extra. For the price of the laksa soup there is a lot of ingredients inside a lot of vegetables the noodles are good portion very filling. I'm normally not a fan of coconut but the laksa soup was very good it wasn't overly potent with the coconut taste. The deep fried pork chop were really good and crispy and still moist and not dry inside the sauce was thickWent really well with the pork chops. Every order comes with coffee or tea milk tea to be exact. You can have the choice of adding a specialty drink for only $2 which is an incredible price! For the drinks we ordered the apple milk tea and a mango milk tea. They were both really good really refreshing! (It doesn't come with bubble it's an extra charge for it) If you purchased either Western menu or a soup I suggest I recommend also grabbing a drink for2$ it's truly worth it for the price and the size. Also while you're waiting they give you a small cup of toasted walnuts to snack on which is nice, thoughtful And different from other restaurants. Every meal comes with a milk tea unsweetened they give you sugar to add to your liking.Highly recommend this place
