I have a few accounts with a couple other banks, including another credit union, but I wanted the ease of being able to transfer money quickly to and from my son and of course it's easier with the same banking institution. We came in, signed in, and waited for our turn. It didn't take long at all, but we have been in at other times and it did take a little while. Opening the new account was quick and painless. In fact, it seemed like it was faster than opening up an account elsewhere. Christianne also educated my son on the app, which is very user friendly. This location has two ATM machines that you can deposit, withdraw, and check your balances from. Beware, sometimes it can be slow to count cash and process when you are making deposits, so just be aware of your surroundings. There is also another ILWU location in Wilmington and they are affiliated with a network of other credit unions throughout the country, if you find yourself elsewhere and need access to your accounts.

It's no wonder that Israel A. is employee of the month…read more.. Backstory: I'm not a customer of Chase bank, but I needed to make a payment on a friend's credit card and we had found out that I don't have to do it over the phone through credit card services, I can make it in a Chase Bank branch. That certainly makes life easier, instead of "press 1 for english, 2 if you want to change your address, 3 if you want the payment address, 4 if you want to report your card lost or stolen, 5 if you want to update your information, 6 if you're ready to hang yourself because of all these prompts!!" Anyway, upon walking in, I was surprised at how big that bank was. It certainly did not look that big from the outside. There was one teller and one person in line in front of me. As the teller was helping that customer, I turned around and saw the greeter standing close to the line entrance. I asked him if I'm able to make a payment on my friends credit card and he said absolutely and that he would go on and take care of that for me. He went around to the teller window, logged into the computer and proceeded to help me make the payment. He told me that they are no longer taking cash payments on a credit card, unless it's your own account, but that I could use my debit or credit cards, or write a check. I told him that you would think that cash would be acceptable, but he explained that the government made changes to how they can accept a payment, as a way to keep track of illegal funds. So basically, there needs to be a way to track the individual. I understood what he meant. Between terrorism and white collar crimes, banking rules have certainly become more strict. Israel, as I came to find out, was more than helpful. He used my bank card and explained that the way that he took the funds out of my account, the fee should be no more than it would be to use the ATM. He was beyond helpful and I really appreciated his explanation of things, rather than how other bankers feel that they don't owe you an explanation or don't know the information themselves. He graciously ensured that all of my questions were answered and on my way out, I saw that they had his picture and name on the entrance table, stating that he was employee of the month! No wonder! Fantastic customer service!

There was a long line of customers waiting, while about four employees were behind the glass and only one teller was actually helping people. The wait time was ridiculous and completely unnecessary. I understand things get busy, but this felt like poor management and lack of urgency. Customers' time should matter, especially those who have been with the bank for a long time. Very disappointing experience at this branch.

My dealership Mercedes Autonation had issued me a refund in a Bank of America check for $3,000 dollars. I understand there is a fee to cash said check which is fine considering I do not bank at Bank of America. The bank teller immediately looks at the check and my CA ID numerous times and treated me like I was a criminal trying to cash a bogus check. She refused to help me and would not accept the check issued by her own employer bank! It was clearly a legitimate issued check and failed to even check and just handled it in her hand. Told me she could run it but then there would be some stamp code in the bank which would make it difficult for me to cash it at my own bank to which I replied why would that happen if I'm not going to my bank I am here this is a Bank of America check not Chase. This is ridiculous that I could not cash this check. She forced me to go to my own bank across the street and refused to help me or offer to speak to a supervisor. She just handed me the check and my ID back looking at me like I am a criminal. Sorry excuse for the face of your company. It seems pretty shady when my dealerships bank can't honor their own bank notes. This again reconfirmed why I stopped banking with Bank of America and will never ever return and will continue to bad word of mouth it to everyone I come across. Just so that bitch knows I make over 100k a year. Never assume things about who walks in your branch. I did not appreciate being treated like a criminal by some broke ass teller.
