Not having a money counting machine was kind of odd, but not enough to deter me. Here is why I left Malaga bank for a larger, corporate bank (the tl;dr is that customer service is only available M-F 9-5 and their fraud detection services are out of control): They have a $1,000 daily spend limit on debit purchases. If you wish to make a larger purchase you have to call and authorize it. Only problem is they are only accessible by phone M-F 9-5pst. Their "fraud detection" system is ridiculous. I had charges denied and my card locked on a weekly basis for routine purchases, ex: Amazon, and there was nothing I could do about it- this is what pushed me over the edge in terms of leaving the bank. There app is not very good, doesn't have a face-ID option and for those of you familiar they aren't listed with Plaid, which means linking your account to other services and apps is difficult and sometimes impossible.

Very happy with them and plan to use them for many years to come. The debit cards with the peacock on them are a nice bonus too!

The employee was rude, raised her voice during our conversation, and spoke to me in a disrespectful manner. As a customer, I expect to be treated with courtesy and professionalism, regardless of the circumstances. I hope management addresses this employee's customer service skills, as no customer should feel disrespected or spoken to this way when seeking routine assistance

I have a few accounts with a couple other banks, including another credit union, but I wanted the ease of being able to transfer money quickly to and from my son and of course it's easier with the same banking institution. We came in, signed in, and waited for our turn. It didn't take long at all, but we have been in at other times and it did take a little while. Opening the new account was quick and painless. In fact, it seemed like it was faster than opening up an account elsewhere. Christianne also educated my son on the app, which is very user friendly. This location has two ATM machines that you can deposit, withdraw, and check your balances from. Beware, sometimes it can be slow to count cash and process when you are making deposits, so just be aware of your surroundings. There is also another ILWU location in Wilmington and they are affiliated with a network of other credit unions throughout the country, if you find yourself elsewhere and need access to your accounts.

There was a long line of customers waiting, while about four employees were behind the glass and only one teller was actually helping people. The wait time was ridiculous and completely unnecessary. Very disappointing experience at this branch.

My dealership Mercedes Autonation had issued me a refund in a Bank of America check for $3,000 dollars. I understand there is a fee to cash said check which is fine considering I do not bank at Bank of America. The bank teller immediately looks at the check and my CA ID numerous times and treated me like I was a criminal trying to cash a bogus check. She refused to help me and would not accept the check issued by her own employer bank! It was clearly a legitimate issued check and failed to even check and just handled it in her hand. Told me she could run it but then there would be some stamp code in the bank which would make it difficult for me to cash it at my own bank to which I replied why would that happen if I'm not going to my bank I am here this is a Bank of America check not Chase. This is ridiculous that I could not cash this check. She forced me to go to my own bank across the street and refused to help me or offer to speak to a supervisor. She just handed me the check and my ID back looking at me like I am a criminal. Sorry excuse for the face of your company. It seems pretty shady when my dealerships bank can't honor their own bank notes. This again reconfirmed why I stopped banking with Bank of America and will never ever return and will continue to bad word of mouth it to everyone I come across. Just so that bitch knows I make over 100k a year. Never assume things about who walks in your branch. I did not appreciate being treated like a criminal by some broke ass teller.

She was sitting there staring at an empty screen when I arrived, literally not doing anything, and there was no one in line and barely anyone in the store. It was 1:45 pm in the afternoon. There was another gentleman there, who appeared to be busier than her. She did not offer a time or offer an appointment to return. I asked to speak to the manager, she gave me Pablo Corral's # which turned out to be the customer service line. I was able to get routed to the branch and spoke to the woman "Cindy" and asked why she had not told me that the # was a basic branch #. She said she's not allowed to give out the manager personal #. I said I hadn't asked for that and she could have informed me the # was not direct and the hours he could be contacted. She took my # and said she'd pass it along. We'll see if I get that call...

It seems because someone stole. from us, we can be at risk for more fraudulent activity so in other words instead of us being considered victims we are a risk all because Kinecta had to replace the stolen funds from our account.
