    There was quite a bit of a wait when we went in, things felt like they were at a snail crawl…read morepace--which I guess is the norm at any bank. Makes me remember why I hate going to banks! Ah well. The account representative that we worked with was nice. I would have been a little happier had he decided not to come in while he was sick (he was sniffling and coughing) knowing that we had to touch things that non-sick people (like myself) would want to be exposed to. Especially with anything account related, touching pens, touching my driver's license.. ahh. I immediately went home and washed my hands and disinfected everything when I went home. Please stay home next time! Overall the visit was okay, he was nice enough and everything was done in a timely matter. I only wished they had more reps so the wait wouldn't have been so long. Also, they only have two waiting chairs! And when we got there it was fully occupied so we spent at least 20 minutes standing around until a group of people moved to one of the available reps. Get more chairs, thanks! I don't mind, but when I have my mom with me, I know she doesn't want to stand for an hour.

She also runs a tight ship and educates her staff on how to execute these solutions. Staff Member Omar has been a joy to work with as he processes paperwork accurately and responds quickly. I understand that members can opt out by February, but why, in this day and age with all the online scams that exist, are we putting a price on members financial security? That seems unfair, especially knowing that we are more than likely going to see some weird things happen with finances and prices in 2025. $10 a month is nearly as much as what most Banks charge at a basic level. The fact that current members are being forced into ProtectPlus instead being allowed to opt into it on their own accord is very weird.This is such an inappropriate time to implement something like this, especially knowing that this institution has been opened for nearly 85 years and some people have probably been clients for that long. I'm also concerned as to why this choice has not been advertised CLEARLY and UPFRONT sooner to current members. I only recently found out within the last week from a piece of mail of all things, that the ProtectPlus will be pushed onto members, and we have the option to opt out of it by February 1st. Why are we just being notified now and not like 6 months ago? There's no way this new plan was just put into fruition within the last few weeks, and there's no way that in this day in age Kinecta couldn't have sent out an automated text to all members explaining exactly what this was going to be about. Email, apps, and texts exist- so why am I receiving a letter about this? Not to mention, why is this even happening at the expense of the customer? Post update to the response: I appreciate the fast response. I'm well aware I can opt out of the checking account, I blatantly and clearly already said that in my post. This post is more about the nature and implementation of this new checking account and how it's being forced onto clients instead of giving them the option to opt into it. It is sneaky, and I'm sure a lot of clients will be taken off guard by it and not realize it's been implemented and they will be unwillingly paying fees to Kinecta that they weren't aware of. It also goes against the "no fee" services Credit Unions tend to provide compared to banks. I hope those points will be taken into consideration as Kinecta moves forward with this new Checking Account.

Unbeknownst to me the person who had knowledge of the machine was out to lunch. Finally, I got assistance from a nice young g lady named Selma, I wanted to be mad, but Selma was so sweet I could not even think of being mad, besides it was not her fault. She apologized, and I kindly accepted. It was a few mins , once she cleared the machine I realized that my husband's freaking wedding ring was in the coins and had dropped inside, damn the devil. I let Selma know and she promised to get it back to me in a week no worries, heck the dude did not even tell me he did not have it..we have been married for 15 years so I'm not tripping, he's mine. Anyway, I got two lights away, my phone rang and it was the beautifully amazing Selma, Ms Kim, I have your ring...yaaass. Excellent customer service, give that girl a raise, she made the experience great.. When in the credit union, look for her, she is the young lady with the lovely smile
