Great burger stop. Prices used to be a lot cheaper but still a decent value, imo. Had the bacon cheeseburger and onion rings, they were on par with a decent place. It's a drive up and the servers came out and were patient and helpful. Will go back next time I'm up there! Get that good old fashioned small down burger joint feel and grab a burger or shake! Waited 30 minutes for a shake that cost $8 with only two other vehicles in the parking lot.

Fast, friendly service. You can go inside for a great, old-fashioned diner experience, or order from your vehicle while the carhops bring your food. I love the Chicken Strip Bagel, Double Decker burger and the cheese snacks (basically a quesadilla). Also great is the Glamour Burger, which comes with fries, but I suggest you ask for the frozen fries with fish sauce (~ tartar sauce). This is a family-owned business for many, many years and I'm so glad it's always remained consistent over the years. I only wish they were open on Sundays. read more

If you're passing through Malad and hungry, you're not going to beat Malad Drive In. If you park on the East side they will give you carside service, park on the West and you can eat inside. They've got a pretty interesting menu. Lots of burgers, sandwiches, and then more odd things like tacos and pizza rolls (both of which my wife ordered and enjoyed). I went with the buddy burger, gems, and an Iron Port to drink. If you haven't tried Iron Port and like soda, try it. It's a Utah/Idaho thing and it's great. Kind of like Root Beer but with better spices and flavor. I order it anytime I can find it. The buddy burger was good, nothing too fancy, but solid. The gems and fry sauce were great as well. I've had a few shakes here as well and always enjoyed them. If you're in the area and need something to eat, this is your best bet. read more

We were here Oct 14, 23 in the evening.. waited over an hour for our food was close to cold our tater tots were well over done. One of your teen ages licked her fingers and then split some fries between orders (disgusting). There was alot of goofing off. You need some adult supervision. We're from Malad but probably won't be back. read more

Good food. We skipped the Burger King that's right off the Malad exit and drove 1 mile to this little drive up dinner and didn't regret it. Cute place to eat. A car hop will come to your car to take your order and bring you your food or you can go inside and eat. They do have a drive thru as well. read more

As a regular at the Drive Inn, I have to say this place is more than a great place to eat. To little Malad, and many people with ties back to Malad, the Drive Inn is iconic in many ways. Their food is more than great. With car hop service or inside dining, you'll get a feel for the "good old days." Whether it is a rich nostalgia from the popular "hang out" spot from the high school days or the enjoyable old style decor, you'll love it here. I love the Malad Drive-In! My favorite is the fish burger with cheese, sauce, and pickles. The burgers are great too. To this day I still call a quesadilla, a cheese snack as named at the Drive In. They are delicious. And you can't go wrong with the shakes. read more

I love fish and chips and I'll eat anywhere it's sold. This is just a little drive in, in a little town in Idaho, so don't expect too much. One thing that's weird though, they do not have malt vinegar. They will look at you like you're some kind of weirdo if you ask for it. read more

Classic American drive-in. This is what the movie directors are trying to emulate. My favorites? I eat here often and change things up pretty much everytime. The chicken quesadilla is soooo good, but the grilled double decker with ham and bacon is a burger lover's dream. And the grilled steak sandwich is awesome too! And the chicken deluxe! Flame broiled burgers....large and flat patties. Sesame bun. Thick raspberry shake. Friendly staff. We stopped by on our way to Colorado. Ate at the picnic table with our dog. Fresh cut McDonald's sized fries, very good. And for the price...it was a great Americana experience. Would definitely stop again. read more

If you like grease and poor quality meat, you'll love this place. I will say this, if you want a good shake, they do well at that.
