I do think it could benefit from a bit of a facelift, but the gymnastics area where the kids played during the party (while hitting me hard with 90s nostalgia) was super fun for the kiddos and kept them entertained for the hour or two they spent playing. I found the room for the party to be clean and well set up. It's nice that it's such a big room so you can accomodate a large group. I'm not sure if you can just take kids here to play for a fee or not, but if you can it might not be a bad place to explore on a cold or rainy day to get the wiggles out!

Indoor pool open year-round. Two full-size gymnasiums with all the amenities. And so much more! The Lenexa Rec Center is a crown jewel of the burgeoning 'City Center' space in western JoCo. Buttressed up against City Hall and the newest JoCo library branch, the Rec Center offers year-round enjoyment. Besides the opportunity for personal fitness, exercise classes, or just free play, the Rec Center offers a community space with loads of classes for all ages. You could even request to host parties or small events here, with staff at the ready to help you during your event. The indoor pool is a real draw, open year-round, save for maintenance windows. There are two indoor slides (the longest in the state), a 25M swim lane area, diving well, and a lazy river. The shallows are ultra-kid friendly, wading to low depths with sprinkles and splashes to boot! You can even find your way to the warm water wellness pool, kept at 90° and perfect for therapeutic relaxation. I'm spoiled because this spot is in my neighborhood, though you don't have to be a Lenexa resident to join. There are other places very similar scattered about town, but for the price, the value FAR exceeds the expectation. Covered parking, food amenities next door, shopping, and more are within steps. I had not seen as much of St. Joseph as I had wanted the day before (it was Sunday and everything was closed) I drove back from the park where I stayed. I called their number and the owner, very personable, gave me the address and a good time to come. He and his mechanic had the pump replaced in just a little over an hour. I loved their workshop, and they let me know exactly what was happening. The two worked together intensively to trouble-shoot the unusual and hard-to-work-on Airstream Interstate layout. Make sure you use a GPS to find the place. It is a small operation, but clearly his customers are satisfied. The pump works perfectly and being able to get it repaired so quickly made a huge difference to the rest of my trip. He also recommended a vet to take my dog to (see review for Twin Pines).

Typically in my experience neither is too busy and there is a good amount of space, which makes for a calming experience to me. Their workout area is not extremely large, but it still has a lot to offer with its array of free weights, workout machines, treadmills, etc. One thing I enjoy while utilizing the track is checking out all of the events they offer that you can see advertised on their screens. Their pool area seems pretty great as well, though I haven't used it myself.

I hope gardener realizes that there are boys who play volleyball that are trying to have fun for a cheap price. maybe instead of yelling at a THIRTEEN YEAR OLD. They could start a men's recreational volleyball league. Not to mention the amount of stress that could have been put on the coaches. Getting called at a royals baseball game With there child that was another male on the team. Gardener recreational center needs to seriously. Do something for the male gender that plays volleyball. There are club teams in the recreation league that no one even bats an eye for but when it comes to a 13 year old boy playing volleyball. you have to change the rules twice because "it's not safe." gardener you have issues.
