My makeup was great for the wedding. It lasted all night, and it looked really subtle and natural. My only complaint would be the lip products she used. It was glossy and looked patchy when applied. I had to wipe it off and use my own lipstick. Also, my hairstyle didn't even last an hour after being done. I had to have my bridesmaids completely curl my hair again, which was stressful because it was time consuming. For the price charged, I felt like the hairstyle should've lasted longer than it did. I felt that whenever I showed Karla my hair inspirations on Pinterest, she more often than not told me how it wouldn't work on me, rather than try to help me achieve the hairstyle I wanted. It was a bit demotivating. Overall, I did like my makeup, but I had to make tweaks to really be happy. My hair had to be completely redone. I've been going to Jeannette for my hair for over a year now, and I seriously can't say enough good…read morethings about her! I started with virgin dark brown hair, and when I say dark, I mean my hair is basically almost black. I also have curly, textured, thin hair, so there were a lot of factors to consider when I decided I wanted to go lighter. I was definitely nervous about keeping my curls healthy while changing my color, but Jeannette knew exactly what she was doing. We started slowly with some highlights, and after about two or three sessions, I told her I wanted to go even blonder. She talked me through the process and explained that while she could absolutely get me lighter, her priority was making sure my hair stayed healthy, kept its curl pattern, and didn't get damaged. I cannot tell you how happy I am with my hair! I LOVE the color, but what impresses me even more is how healthy my hair still feels. My curls are still there, my hair feels great, and she has also recommended some amazing products that I honestly can't go without now. Why did it take me this long to write a review? I don't know, okay?! I'm bad about these things. But considering the amount of compliments I get on my hair, I figured it was about time I gave credit where credit is due. This review is not a reflection of the salon…read more I've had my hair done a couple times and the first time I had to drive back the next day to get it fixed because he added chunky money pieces which I communicated that I did not like or want on multiple occasions. I wrote it off as a mistake however after my second appointment I realized he's not paying attention and not being honest. I had requested highlights and my roots to be lightened,, he did not bring the foils up to my roots and once again gave me money pieces. I immediately told him that the entire crown was significantly dark and I told him again I was not sure why he added money pieces again. After being there for so many hours I was exhausted mentally and physically. I requested it be corrected after I came back from vacation and he agreed, I contacted him once I returned and no response. The appointment was unprofessional as he talks a lot personal life matters, and does not listen. I would caution other customers. I am now going to have to pay another stylist to fix his work.
