From the moment I first connected with Tawnie to the day of my wedding, working with her and Ruby was an absolute dream! Tawnie is incredible with communication--always positive, responsive, and reassuring throughout the entire process. And the final result? Even better than I had imagined! I booked a hair and makeup trial a couple of months before my wedding, and I highly recommend doing the same! The hairstyle I initially thought I wanted ended up not being the look I went with, so having that trial made all the difference. On the big day, my bridesmaids also had their hair and makeup done by Tawnie and Ruby, and they couldn't stop raving about how long their makeup lasted and how much they loved their hairstyles! I was especially impressed by how Ruby tailored each hairstyle to match their personalities--she's not afraid to get creative, and the results were stunning! As for my own makeup, my favorite part was how comfortable I felt wearing it. I have naturally oily skin, and Tawnie worked her magic to give me a matte, soft-glam look that lasted all day while still making sure I looked like myself. One thing I would consider when choosing a hair and makeup team is their overall vibe--because on your wedding day, you want positive, upbeat energy no matter what happens. Tawnie and Ruby are not only incredibly talented but also some of the kindest, most fun people to work with. I couldn't be more grateful for this experience and truly cannot recommend them enough!

Very late to post about my April 2024 wedding, but definitely wanted to put in a good word for Tawnie and her hair partner Madelyn. Tawnie was great for both a bridal makeup trial and for wedding day, doing myself, my mom, and a few bridesmaids. Trial: Tawnie made me feel comfortable and had me check in with her after the trial with hourly photos to make sure it would look good the whole day. I never wear makeup, and she definitely put on a lot of things I can't even name! But it didn't feel like I was wearing a heavy mask which was nice. Even though it was a trial, I feel like Tawnie put in a lot of effort! Wedding day: Both ladies had all the ladies ready on time and looking fab! Tawnie was easy to talk to, and I heard good things from all my girls (and my mom). My makeup looked as good as the trial (and Tawnie had notes so I didn't need to remember anything), and even by the end of the night it still had stayed pretty well.

I wish I could give more stars. Have you ever been a part of a bridal party where every single girl absolutely loved their makeup...we hadn't...until Tawnie! Everyone is always nervous to get their makeup done by someone who they've never met before but Tawnie and her team absolutely crushed it. Every single girl in my bridal party (plus my mom) LOVED their makeup. That never happens!!! And we were ON TIME....What?!?! My wedding day makeup that turned out beautiful!

I was determined to find someone who could do makeup well and within my budget for my wedding day. I reached out to Tawnie and immediately knew she was someone I wanted to work with! She made me feel like a princess for my wedding day and was so easy to talk to throughout the entire planning process. She did makeup for 9 people the morning of my wedding and my makeup still looked like it was just done at 11pm that night after dancing, crying, and everything in between. My wedding was 10/18/16 in Temecula, so several months prior I had searched high and low for a professional makeup artist to do my makeup for the big day. They were all either too expensive or would only travel to the venue if several people were paying 100+ each for makeup applications. Feeling a bit down, I hesitantly scheduled an appointment at the MAC store (exterior standalone store) at the mall in Temecula for a bridal makeup application the morning of my wedding. Tawnie is such an amazing makeup artist. I would recommend her to my friends and family. She is super organized and professional, always prepped me on what the next step would be from start to finish. Her really calm and happy energy is exactly what I needed on such a crazy busy day. Love love love tawnie! She did my makeup for a wedding a few weeks ago. Tawnie responded quickly to all of my messages. Also, on extremely short notice she was willing to accommodate my early time request. The makeup she did for me was flawless and took roughly an hour to complete. Make up was perfect through the wedding and it was able to last the entire night as well. It's evident within minutes of meeting tawnie that she is an absolute professional and a true make up artist. It also doesn't hurt that she has the most endearing personality (even at 7am). I dont think i could have found a better person to work with. She does amazing make up---OBVIOUSLY. Tawnie is AMAZING! Seriously, she's absolutely wonderful. She did all the makeup for my wedding: my bridal makeup, my mother's, and 3 of my bridesmaids makeup. She's very attentive and gentle and just fun to be around and talk to. My makeup didn't budge the whole night and I definitely cried a lot. Tawnie made all my wedding day dreams come true. I found her here on Yelp and she did NOT disappoint. My *now* husband doesn't like a lot of makeup and I really wanted him to think I looked great on the big day. Tawnie listened to me and gave me EXACTLY what I wanted. I showed Tawnie a picture of one of her past clients to re-create for my bridal make up look, subtle and matte. I was incredibly pleased after the trial, and she did it again with no trouble on my wedding day. She uses high-end products that didn't have a negative reaction with my skin, which is always something I'm worried about. You can really tell Tawnie loves her job because she takes her time with each client and makes you look like the best version of yourself. I even texted her while I was getting ready for my rehearsal and joked that I needed her to come help me with my brows. On the big day, Tawnie arrived on time with a smile on her face. Tawnie did such a great job on my makeup for when I went to prom! I was so pleased on how it turned out and it lasted the entire night which made it even better! When I was getting my makeup done I had no idea what colors I wanted or anything like that so I just showed Tawnie my dress and she knew exactly what to do and I definitely don't regret trusting her. Tawnie is truly an artist and an absolute lifesaver. A month prior to the wedding, I realized I hadn't confirmed with her. When I reached out (panicking) she assured me she would make it happen and she TOTALLY did. I first met her at our trial and we connected immediately. She was bubbly and I felt like we instantly became friends. I learned that she had worked/managed at a mac store for years and knows her stuff. There wasn't a second I was nervous about my look because she just got me! Her pricing was affordable and competitive. She is the perfect addition to your wedding day. On wedding day, I ended up having to squeeze in an extra girl and Tawnie was flexible and accommodating. She was on time at 6:30am to start on the girls ( I had 10) and did an excellent job on everyone. We had all different nationalities and skin types and Tawnie nailed each persons requested look. I trusted her so much I realized I didn't even look in the mirror once completed because it was GO time. Tawnie is amazing!!! She will put her customers first and is very layed back and open to suggestions. I did my wedding makeup trial with her a few months before my wedding, and hired her to do my bridesmaids. everyone looked gorgeous, and still natural, we didnt want that heavy makeup look. I found Tawnie by just looking up yelp reviews, and took a chance. I was unable to even make time for a trial run. I hired her and one other artist for five bridesmaids, two mothers and then me, the bride, and it was the best decision I made for my wedding. They were on time and spot on. Very professional and clean. My bridal party loved their makeup and they all looked flawless. I never wear makeup so I was nervous, but Tawnie made sure I looked natural and like myself! I met Tawnie over a year ago. My daughter and I were walking through the mall and Tawnie offered to do her makeup. She made my daughter so happy! My daughter was 3 at the time. We started having to always make a detour to MAC to visit Tawnie so that my daughter could get some eyeshadow or lipgloss put on. Tawnie always made my daughter feel so special and so important. My husband then encouraged me to have my makeup done by Tawnie. I have always bought whatever brands at CVS, anything I could just afford. So, Tawnie did my makeup. She made me feel so good about myself and matched me up with the perfect colors for my skin. She even taught me about this stuff to put on my eyelids so my eyeshadow doesn't clump up by the end of the day... AMAZING, ha! As a teacher, and a mom, this stuff is amazing, ha! I ended up leaving MAC that day after spending a couple hundreds of dollars on amazing, and beautiful stuff. Tawnie set me up with everything I would need for daily wear as a teacher and a mom and stuff that I could turn into for evening wear. She is the only person I trust with makeup because I know she has the love for making people feel good about themselves through makeup. Tawnie was literally the best make-up artist I have ever had the honor to use. I have always been really into Mac make-up and love to do make-up and have my make-up done. First off, Tawnie is such an awesome person that you really enjoy spending time in her make-up chair just chatting. She makes you feel so comfortable and relaxed. I used her for my wedding make-up and she did not disappoint! I literally showed her like 2 pictures off pintrist, and she completely nailed the look I was going for. The make-up was absolutely stunning. She made me feel like the beautiful bride I had always wanted to be. I absolutely recommend her for any kind of make-up! Especially on your wedding day. Let me just start by saying I never spend time writing reviews but this is well deserved. I hired Tawnie to do my makeup for my engagement photos based on her amazing reviews on yelp. Im sooo glad I found her! She is absolutely amazing! If I wasn't getting married all the way in Italy I would hire her for my wedding day in a heartbeat. She actually has professional training and is a certified Makeup Artist (not an instagram or "self taught" so called MUA). She is super professional and is so knowledgeable about her profession. She was able to take the look I wanted from photos and recreate them seamlessly on my face. When I received a wedding invite out of town, in true modern fashion, I took to Yelp to help me find the perfect makeup artist. HANDS DOWN Tawnie won the Yelp search. Not only was every picture spot on for what I wanted, but all the reviews were raving about her skill and technique. She is 100% everything you read on here: Tawnie was fantastic right from the start! She made sure I was comfortable and was very patient with alllllll the makeup looks that I brought with me as ideas. Tawnie is so easy to talk to, and really makes you feel like a friend versus a client. I could not have been happier with the final result! I felt beautiful (while still very fierce), and continued to receive compliments on my makeup all day. The best part was that, through heavy sun, sweating, and dancing, my makeup stayed put and I never had to retouch once. I am so unbelievably happy that Tawnie is my makeup artist for my wedding. I just had the trial makeup done over the weekend and my makeup lasted all day. She is so sweet, funny, and talented! She listens to what kind of look you are going for and customizes it to your individual skin tone. I was blown away by her knowledge, technique, and genuine kindness. I feel this is rare, and I feel absolutely blessed and at ease knowing Tawnie is doing my makeup. She even helped me with putting clips on my extensions, since I knew nothing about extensions. I met Tawnie a few years ago and she has been doing my make up ever since! She's hands down the best make up artist ever!! I seriously find excuses just to get my make up done by her. Sometimes as much as once a month!! Ok ok sometimes even more than that. She can help you pull off any look, dramatic or even an everyday look. Also she's just an awesome person to talk to who happens to look like Gwen Stefani, so getting your make up done by her is kinda like hanging out with Gwen Stefani. She makes everyone look flawless. She made me feel extremely comfortable around her and through her doing my makeup for prom and special events I was never afraid to ask her to change something I didn't agree with. Tawnie absolutely rocked it. She was extremely professional. Her set up is VERY nice and well organized. She brings a light and your own very chair. So you don't have to worry about having the right lighting or perfect sized chair. You just make space for her and let her make you feel beautiful. she makes you feel safe , and clean. Meaning she is very good about be sanitary , by using application brushes that you can just throw away insuring you that you won't get any kind of infections. (Eyes , lips ) Over all she is very flexible. I had to get up almost 10 times and not once did you look upset or annoyed. She is very funny and very easy to get along with. I am not sure where to even begin. Tawnie was absolutely amazing from start to finish. She is professional, sweet, and has great instincts when it comes to makeup. As a bride, I was very nervous about my hair and makeup on the big day. After doing a trial run with Tawnie, I knew I was in the best hands. Many of my bridesmaids were skeptical as well, and most of them turned down getting makeup done initially. After Tawnie did one of the bridesmaid's makeup, every single one of them wanted to get it done (leaving Tawnie in a bit of a time crunch). She somehow powered through 9 girls and made each look perfect and feel so special. I could go on and on about how great she is but I will simply say, if you have an event in the area, Tawnie is the only person I would go to. I do recommend a trial run before your event. For me, it was great knowing exactly what we were going to do on the wedding day because everything else is so hectic. She even recommended some makeup products and techniques. It was a very good experience and Leah and her hairdresser were so personable that it was like getting your prep done by a close friend! She would even show us funny videos on her phone. We felt really comfortable with her. The results were worth every penny and I am so glad we got the opportunity to work with her. I absolutely can't believe I forgot to yelp about this but I wish I could give them six stars! We were getting compliments left and right. Thanks Leah for the awesome experience and results! We definitely have you in mind for any upcoming events in the future!

We booked Tawnie's services for my cousins wedding in Temecula last week and she was amazing. Our entire bridal party looked stunning, it was enough makeup to show up in pictures but did not look cakey in person. We all got so many compliments all night about how beautiful we all looked. The bride was also extremely pleased with Tawnie's work. She was contemplating getting her makeup done professionally and was so happy that she actually decided to go through with it. Her studio that she shares with Madelynn (theblondeinthecave.com) is a really cool place of business and was very inviting.
