But I'm not sure if it would have made me look elsewhere if I read it before I hired them due to their high overall rating. They didn't get to our location on time so they were still doing my hair which made the wedding late by 30 minutes. The whole wedding schedule was pushed back and needed to be rushed due to this vendor. I asked for Hollywood waves. I got 90s frizz. We even told her it was too frizzy and she did a little more work (it actually looked worse before). I thought this place was good. A professional hairstylist should know how to do Hollywood waves. They also made my mom's hair look like crap. They did okay on my 3 bridesmaids. Even if they did better-than-okay on them, that would be like 50 points out of 100. I texted Tru about our disappointment. She literally said, "For your hair, we actually loved how it turned out." You either can do it or you can't. This tells me they don't know how to do Hollywood waves which makes sense since there aren't any pictures of people with the Hollywood waves look in their pictures on Yelp. It also says my opinion doesn't matter. In her text, she said, my mom "didn't have enough hair to do braids." I literally did the braids on my mom's hair before the wedding and that was without extensions and it still looked cute. So this just confirmed that she (the owner, Tru) didn't care about doing a good job as she was the one doing my mom's hair and had a look of apathy on her face in our bRiDaL sUiTe while we were getting ready. I would have thought that at least her reaction to my complaint would have shown concern or any level of standards to meet the client's expectations. This was the worst vendor that we worked with for our wedding. For some reference, our makeup artist was amazing and did an amazing job on everyone. (Moka Beaute) The picture of me in the comparison photo (right) was taken less than 2 hours after they did my hair. It looked pretty much like that immediately after they were done with it.

We had scheduled her hair and makeup touch-up for 1:30 p.m., and she was on stage by 2:00 p.m.--the style barely held up for 30 minutes. Considering the significant time, effort, and money we invested in preparing for this pageant, this was a huge letdown. I booked Andrea for the entire weekend, and when I brought up my concerns on Saturday, she suggested we leave the pins in longer before going on stage--which left me wondering why that wasn't done in the first place. While I appreciated the adjustment the next day, it didn't change the fact that the most important day was a total disappointment. If you need hair and makeup that actually lasts, I would not recommend booking here. I rarely leave reviews, but it's incredibly frustrating when a business doesn't deliver the quality you paid for and ignores your concerns when you reach out. I hope Andrea makes this right. Update: Andrea offered a 50% refund for my daughter's hair, but only on the condition that I remove my review, not because she took full accountability for how her work impacted my daughter's chances of placing as a finalist at Miss Texas Teen. Due to her lack of communication when I first messaged her about my concerns with the hair, I hadn't even had a chance to address the makeup until later. It wasn't until we picked my daughter up on the final day of the pageant that I realized how cakey and uneven the makeup was, patchy in some areas, completely gone in others. I sent Andrea photos (which I will not post publicly because my daughter is a minor), and her response was that my daughter never mentioned any issues. Well, my daughter is a teenager who knows very little about hair and makeup, and she didn't say anything at the time because we aren't the type to complain. That said, I would expect a professional to recognize and correct those issues without needing to be told. I paid $840 for poor-quality hair and makeup and a frustrating overall experience. Don't waste your money--lesson learned!

See is always professional, on time and makes a lot of jokes and keeps you entertained. Her spray tans are some of the longest lasting I've received and I never feel "dirty" or "stinky" afterwards.
