Emily is great! The service was excellent and she has a wonderful assistant, Anna who did the hair of my bridal party and myself for my recent wedding. Every one of us was thrilled with how our hair and makeup turned out! My only disappointment was that she was unavailable to do a trial run of my bridal look with me and I asked months before my wedding. I was really looking forward to having Emily do my makeup. She was so booked that I had to wait 30 days for a trial. I arrived on the day of my trial only to be told that she ended up booking an event on the same day as my event, so her assistant would be doing my makeup instead. That was a disappointment, as I had wasted 30 days for this trial when I could have gone elsewhere. I stayed seated and let her assistant do my makeup. I was very confused that her assistant kept asking Emily questions like, what do I do next? How do I apply the eyeliner? Where do I put the contour? In the end, my makeup looked like it was done by my 5 year old. I paid $90 and left so frustrated by the entire experience. I really wanted to try Emily for my wedding, but it seemed like she did not care about my inquiry. In the voicemail it said to text her, which I did. I was very polite. She sent me a price list, I asked a question. No reply. I said ok, maybe she's busy. So I sent a friendly reminder message 4 days later, again ignored. I would not have minded if the business would have just told me they were booked, instead of being completely ignored. I reached out to Emily back in Jan for my friends wedding that was in April she was so quick at getting back to me and getting a schedule made for the bridal party which was a plus. I loved all 3 of my looks that she did over 2 days and the make up lasted all day, through tears and all... Saturday morning the team had us all ready by 8am, and for the reception we were running way behind schedule and they were still able to get all of us out the door by 7pm. Major plus! Let me start by saying that I've had multiple bad professional makeup experiences... I had someone go way over time so I was late to my event and air brush me into a porcelain doll (not in a good way!) and I've had another do my makeup where it looked good until I went back and looked at pictures with a flash. The powder she used was completely visible and white on my forehead and under my eyes. In contrast, Emily was amazing.... she made my complexion PERFECT and took my exact face into consideration when she did my makeup. I have only done a trial with her so far but was 'wowed' and booked her on the spot for my wedding and engagement photos. She understood the look I was going for and completely delivered.
