Went to get my hair done by my favorite hair dresser Georgia! I love her new space! She's the only hair dresser that does my hair. Awesome at color and style. She actually listens to what I want, which is pretty rare at other places (in my experience). When I first walked in I was offered a red vine, now that's my kind of place! I love the very rustic, manly decor. Very different from those fancy salons! The people were all very enthusiastic. Even the girl who washed my hair gave me an awesome head massage. This place is great- I've been meaning to leave a review. I found them through reviews and it was close to my house, I've been there several times now and I love it. I've always had a tough time finding someone who could cut my hair well because its wavy and thick, Larry does a great job and uses a razor, something I'd never seen before. Great Place! Convenient hours and perfect location. There isn't a 2 hour wait like most barber shops around Las Vegas. I've been going to Jasmine for nearly a year and I wouldn't go anywhere else. She always gets me in within 24 hours if I call the day before and she has been able to get me in the same day on several occasions. I don't think you could go wrong with any of the barbers there, but I was so satisfied with Jasmine the first time I went in that I have never wanted to switch it up. They have a really unique selection of hair products as well. I almost always leave with something new to try and they have all been great. read more

I was in town for business, and was in desperate need of a haircut. I stumbled upon Makeshift Union on Yelp, and after seeing their work on IG and amazing reviews on Google, I had to give them a try. I called the shop to see if any walk-ins or same-day appointments were available, and to my surprise I was able to get an appointment with Jasmine within two hours. First things first - the style and vibe of this spot is awesome. If you go, consider bringing a drink to just hang out - it's got that type of feel. Now for the actual cut - Jasmine absolutely schooled me on my hair, the shape of my head, what cuts and styles would be most beneficial, and was just a general badass. After talking with Jasmine, it's very apparent that all of the stylists and barbers at Makeshift really take pride in their art. My biggest issue with her is that she's located halfway across the country for me, so I won't be able to stop in more often. I saw LilyBeth today and I am absolutely thrilled with her professionalism eye for detail and knowing exactly what my hair needed. I was able to get a mask, a cut and blow out with a color consultation for next time. She is. The. BEST. I'll be back in a month to try her suggestion for some color blending. This shop is trendy open air and has fabulous high end product lines. Everyone is incredibly friendly and aside from the cool decor this has the downtown vibe. Just got my hair cut! Looks really good. I mean my hair is short and all I did was skin fade nothing on the top. Again looks great they did a good job. My only complaint is I paid $45 not including my tip. I got nothing extra. i.e. (hot towel shave). So, I won't be back. I've gotten same haircut and towel shave and line up. For $30, other place and it was a good job. I came here cause of location. Oh, I'm sure wondering if i asked about how much ( I didn't ). I figured it would be around 25-30 ( that's on me ). My husband actually recommended that I go to Larry. My husband had a client that had her hair done by Larry and he loved it and got his information from her and texted me as soon as he got information saying that I should go see Larry and that I should get pink highlights in my hair for our wedding. I go in to see Larry not sure what to expect but once I arrive, I'm instantly greeted with warmth and offered water or coffee. Larry is amazing at what he does. We ended up going darker brown with the pink highlights and it looked amazing! My hair apparently doesn't like pink dye though and it didn't stay. I went back in to see him and he said he had never seen someone who lost color in less than a week. He recolored it and so far it still looks amazing a week later. I have lived in Las Vegas 4 years and have never really found a stylist that I felt more comfortable with. read more
