They really went out of their way to help make the birthday party memorable and even assisted with set up and tear down.

Rockin' Kids Play Center

I really wanted this place to work for my family, but unfortunately our recent experiences have…read moremade me decide not to return. My daughter is autistic and non-violent -- she just wants to play and be included. On multiple visits, whenever one particular staff member is working, her kids and their cousins are there, and the interactions with my child have been unkind and exclusionary. During one visit they were taunting her, and on another I had to step in and ask them to stop following her around and telling her she couldn't play with things. Another parent (the father of one of the kids) was standing there and even told them they needed to stop following her if they weren't going to be nice, so the issue was acknowledged in the moment. The situation escalated when my daughter lost her footing in the bounce house and accidentally landed near one of the kids. The child then told her mom that my daughter pinched her, which is not what happened -- I was standing right there the entire time. As a parent, it's really hard to watch your child be singled out or misunderstood, especially in a place that's supposed to feel safe and fun. What was also frustrating was that when I asked the staff member for the owner's email so I could address my concerns directly, she refused to provide it and said she wasn't allowed to share it. I found that disappointing, as I was simply trying to communicate respectfully with management about a serious concern. I'm sharing this because I hope management takes it seriously. This felt avoidable, and I wish the environment had been better monitored so all kids could play comfortably. I ultimately requested a refund for my remaining play days because I no longer feel comfortable bringing my child back.

Hands down the BEST place to book a kids birthday party!!!!…read more Rockin' Kids Play Center truly took care of everything....and I mean EVERYTHING!!!!! As a mom of 3 with all my kids under 5, this was such a lifesaver and completely stress free. Liz was incredibly easy to communicate with and so responsive, and Mia was just as wonderful on the day of the party. Both were kind, patient, and beyond helpful the entire time. I was able to actually enjoy my child's birthday instead of running around, which says a lot. The decor was absolutely beautiful, our guests would not stop complimenting it. I kept hearing "this is the best Hello Kitty party!". On top of that, the play area was spotless and kept all the kids entertained and happy the entire time. A few kids even cried when the party ended... that's how good it was! If you're thinking about booking a birthday party, this is the place!!! Thank you so much Liz and Mia! You both are truly the best and made this day so special for our family. 10000000/10 Highly, highly recommend!

It's very affordable with easy parking, which made the whole visit stress-free from the start. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by friendly and helpful staff who let us know about an upcoming animal performance so we could plan our time around it--such a nice touch. The zoo itself is the perfect size for younger kids. They had a great variety of animals including tigers, a lion, several types of birds, and monkeys. The staff throughout the zoo were informative and approachable, making the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, a fun, easy outing that's perfect for little ones. We'll definitely be back!

THIS IS NOT YOUR TRADITIONAL ZOO! If you come here hoping for a vast institution with a lot of…read moreanimals, you will be disappointed but with that being said, I personally really enjoyed my time here. This zoo is so that college students who are studying animal related programs can gain experience meaning they don't have all the animals you see at typical zoos but there were still some really cool ones! And because students are learning they have animals roaming around with them so you could potentially see a beaver or a hawk up close and in demonstration. I honestly think I preferred it here as it was slow paced and not very crowded. I don't believe they had any food here so bring snacks and their gift shop was closed. I don't know if that was only on the day we went or indefinitely. There's plenty of parking - I know it says "permit only" but I think that applies to weekdays only when classes are in session.

Paint Pals Clubhouse - Took my little sisters to paint pals! They had a blast. You pick out a piece of ceramic to paint. Pieces prices range $4-$10.

I grew up coming to this place on weekends and in the summer. It's a great way to kill a few hours…read moreand a lot of fun for kids. They have a decent variety of stuff for kids of all ages. The maze and shadow room are fun for big and little kids. The dress up clothes were great fun for them as well. Lots for them to do when they finish painting, while they wait for their painted creations to dry. They don't fire the creations in a kiln or anything, but the plus side is, the plaster pieces are cheaper, and you get to take it home the same day, unlike other places where you have to pick it up a week later. We came in on a weekday summer morning at opening, so we were the only ones in the place. There was a gentleman, I assume the owner, working. He was quiet and definitely didn't want to get too involved in anything. The variety of paint colors available wasn't as good as it was years ago. It also used to be in condiment bottles that somewhat prevented the kids from squirting too much at one time. I'm guessing that they probably see a lot more paint waste without those. Be forewarned that this is the type of place where you really are left to your own devices; no one is going to sit with your kids and give them tips on painting or anything like that. You will want to try to talk your kids into really filling in all the white space. The glossy spray that they use to "finish" them doesn't stick to the plaster if there is not paint on it. The facility is in some need of maintenance. There were lots of signs on things letting you know that a machine is fickle and only takes certain quarters, which you can get up front, or the sign on the women's bathroom saying "Bathroom door doesn't lock. Use men's." Um... okay, or you could just run to Home Depot in the morning before the store opens, pick up a new doorknob, and replace it. Yeah, it takes time and money, but my guess is that the doorknob lock didn't break this morning. Sign looked like it wasn't recently made. Moreover... there are two single stall bathrooms, why is one men's and one women's? They should just both be unisex, since that is what is suggested. Other than a bit of laziness on the part of management in terms of maintenance, it's a fun place, and the kids had a fun morning, which was the goal, for a lot less than I'd have paid at somewhere like paint a dream.

The process of painting is way more convenient than other places and the face painting is quick, easy, and fun (and the designs are great too!) I was very sad to hear that their facility closed a few years ago but grateful that they are still doing events and parties. A small thing that I would recommend is start accepting cards because not everyone carries cash. On that note, the prices are very reasonable. Thanks for the wonderful party!

This…read moreplace was clean, the vibe (music/sounds from arcade machines) was fun without being overwhelming, and the laser tag area was excellent. There are all sorts of fun power ups, "generators" to be shot for extra points, and the design was two story. Which meant of course, the 12 year olds took to the high ground and took out all the adults. Best of all was the staff. There were so kind, accommodating, and helpful. My boys were really excited they won enough tickets to get a big prize and the staff was so great with them and patient to boot! Plus, they made cotton candy right then and there for all the party members. Fresh cotton candy is amazing. Normal price, only 2$. One change I'd love--wine added to menu to go with the beer. ;) Thanks to everyone at Lazertag Extreme!!

We figured with schools out, kids/families would be spending a lot of time here, even late at night. However, that didn't bother us one bit and it seemed like the employees were excited to have some customers as they gave us excellent service. We originally had planned on doing both laster tag and axe throwing, but once we realized it would just be us 4 playing laser tag (& that isn't a whole lot of fun) we opted to just spend an hour or so axe throwing. We had an absolute blast. It was most of ours first time and after a quick tutorial, we were left with both bays to have fun. And fun we did have. It was great. I have no complaints & the employees even gave us an extra few minutes since they were about to close and no one else was coming in. Ultimately, we had a lot of fun. But we do want to come back for their laser tag to see how that part of the place is. Hopefully when we do, there will be more people there for more targets to hit.

When I first discovered the world of baby gyms, I looked into both here and another gym in the area. I ended up choosing The Little Gym because of 3 things: 1) Proximity. We are in Simi and I would have made the commute to the other gym if it was that much better, but it's not 2) Diversity. This might have to do with it being Simi Valley, but I liked the ethnic diversity that the neighboring city was lacking 3) Instructors wearing masks. I like how the instructors wear masks here. I feel like it sets a precedence for everyone, and shows care and concern for others. Not everyone wears masks and that's ok, even I myself only wear it some of the time. But something about them wearing masks I feel sets a good example of safety and cleanliness and is reassuring. My daughter is her happiest at The Little Gym! We love taking her there and will continue to take her there as often as we possibly can, even though we will be moving away from the area.
