The Salvation Army -- Flamingo & Durango…read more I really enjoy shopping at this Salvation Army on Flamingo & Durango. The store is bright, clean, cheerful, organized, and very well curated. You can tell there's thought put into how the merchandise is displayed and arranged. One thing I really appreciate is being able to actually push my cart down the aisles without constantly bumping into racks or merchandise -- unlike the Goodwill up the street at 9385 W. Flamingo, which can feel much more crowded and unorganized. I like shopping at thrift stores, but I also like being able to move around comfortably and actually see what I'm looking at. I also love how this Salvation Army feels when you walk in. The presentation makes a difference. It feels more put together, and even the way certain areas are displayed gives the store personality. Now, let's talk about the prices. The prices have definitely gone up, and honestly, some of them are too high for donated merchandise. I recently saw a dress priced at $16.99, and I just don't think a donated dress in a thrift store should be priced that high. These items are donated. I understand there are operating expenses, employees to pay, utilities, and other costs, but the merchandise itself is still being donated for free. Thrift-store prices should still feel like thrift-store prices. The 50% off and 25% off color-tag sales do help and somewhat make up for it, but some of the regular prices still need to come down. The employees are another reason I enjoy coming here. Michelle, (Dawn is amazing she greets you with love every time & she's very encouraging to customers when they share their problems & and she takes pride in her work) Tamera is very necessary as a cashier her smile & tone is contagious and I think she could do a class on customer service. Great Job Ms Tamera Ms. Angelic, Heather, and several of the cashiers and floor workers are extremely nice and genuinely kind. There's also a lady with black hair who usually wears it in a ponytail and works both in the back and on the floor. She is always very nice, and it feels genuine. She's not just being nice because she's getting paid to be nice -- she just is. And then there's the store manager with the beautiful New York accent -- you'll know her when you hear her. She is very detail-oriented and pays attention to everything. If a hanger is out of place, she'll spot it. That attention to detail is part of the reason the store stays so neat and well curated. Well y'all they've reopened the bathrooms for customers and I'm glad. Because now senior citizens & children & ppl with disabilities can use the restrooms AGAIN The dressing rooms are gone, but I understand that it's the climate we're living in. However they've added more mirrors throughout the store. That definitely helps. And I have to mention the music playing overhead. Every now and then, a song comes on that reminds you exactly why it's called The Salvation Army. Overall, this is still a bright, clean, cheerful, well-curated thrift store with some truly kind employees, and that's why I continue to shop here. Updated 5 Faith

Pop Up Shop -- Thrift Store Boutique: Where Style Meets…read morePurpose By Ted Cucuro, Las Vegas Nevada AI hospitality correspondent Walking into the Pop Up Shop-- Thrift Store Boutique feels like discovering a hidden gem where fashion, creativity, and community all come together. This isn't your typical thrift store-- it's a thoughtfully curated space where every piece tells a story and every rack invites exploration. From the moment you step inside, there's an unmistakable energy--stylish yet welcoming, trendy, yet grounded in purpose. The selection strikes that perfect balance between unique, vintage finds and modern pieces, making it easy to uncover something that feels both personal and one-of-a-kind. From vintage designer deals to stand out accessories, there's always something special waiting to be found. What truly elevates this boutique, though, is the heart behind it-- owners Wallace and Janette. As partners in both business and vision, they bring a level of care and professionalism that you can feel throughout the entire store. One of the reasons I personally enjoy coming here is because of how intentional they are with every item. They don't just put products on the floor-- they go through everything. Clothes are washed, cleaned, and carefully prepared. Repairs are made with attention to detail, ensuring each piece is truly ready for its next home. I even saw this firsthand with a washing machine they had for sale-- they had gone through it completely, repaired it, cleaned it, and presented it in such a pristine condition. It looked almost brand new. That level of pride and workmanship speaks volumes about who they are and how seriously they take their business. The atmosphere remains warm and inviting, and every visit feels fresh-- there's always something new to discover, which keeps you coming back. But more than that, there's a sense of trust here. You know that what you're buying has been handled with care. If you love fashion, value sustainability, and appreciate a shopping experience rooted in authenticity and effort, the Pop Up Shop--Thrift Store Boutique is a must-visit. As Wallace and Janette like to say, "one man's trash is another man's treasure" -- and here, they've truly mastered the art of turning that idea into something meaningful, stylish, and worth coming back for again and again.

This awesome shop has everything you probably need. Love it, would definitely recommend!read more

Usually we love Savers, not today. At this particular location off Rancho Rd in Las Vegas near N…read moreLas Vegas Airport we had a very bad shopping & checkout experience. When approaching checkout an employee whose name tag was removed during our conversing decided to eagle eye us in particular while checking out. Which was fine; but in the middle of checking out she came over and pushed her way in and started pulling things out of our bag and ripping tags off the clothes and told us to move over to the other checkout counter. She didn't want to make eye contact to tell us why she was having us moved or even answer my question as to why. She proceeded to grab all of our items and had us go to the checkout where her manager was, so I told him I thought it was extremely targeted and rude that she couldn't tell us what we were doing that she didn't like. He said he would talk to her and when I proceeded to ask for her name no one would tell me and he said to use his name since he was the manager. BUT I feel like her attitude was completely uncalled for and when I did ask for her name she had ripped her name tag off so I couldn't see. Then with other customers that were seemingly in her mindset, she decided to laugh. My friend told her don't laugh and I told her if she kept that up I'd get her fired for harassment. Their treatment of us today was appalling - I'm guessing she just assumed we were stealing and not scanning things. All she needed to do was ask us to double check and we wouldn't have had an issue with proper and professional communication. What is wrong with a little eye to eye communication? We feel sorry for her next victim! They shouldn't have people up front who aren't friendly in their interactions with customers. Anyways, they're teaching their employees to be way too over the top and singling people out who don't deserve it. This one location in particular needs better employee training and more friendly communication if you'd like people to keep shopping. The store itself was pretty organized, but with as many savers as there is, I'll avoid this one!
