HOT NEW Indo-Fusion Restaurant in Camarillo! Camarillo, you are in for a TREAT with the opening of MAKASIH! Their soft opening was last week, then officially open Wednesday-Sunday. I'm always excited when a hip new restaurant and bar opens, so getting one on this side of Camarillo feels like such a special treat. They did an incredible job with the space, and the covered outdoor patio is so special. You're definitely going to love the vibe here, but the hospitality is what really stood out to us. Shoutout to Buddy and the entire team for making us feel so welcome and walking us through every aspect of the menu. The staff was so lovely and knowledgeable, and you could genuinely feel their excitement throughout our entire meal. CRAFT COCKTAILS Unique, creative and DELICIOUS! We tried the Tom Kha Margarita (how cool is that?!), Yuzu Lychee Highball and the USOK Sour. APPETIZERS You really can't go wrong with the Shrimp & Pork Lumpia or the Chili Glazed Wings with Coconut Ranch. Both were packed with flavor and the perfect way to start the meal. THE MAIN EVENT Chicken Curry & Ramen Noodles - If you come here and get ONE thing, get this!! We could not stop raving about this dish and absolutely devoured every inch of the plate. The ramen noodles were cooked perfectly and had that nostalgic comfort-food feel, paired with the most delicious yellow curry and succulent chicken. 10/10. Crispy Pork Sandwich - I'm a sucker for anything involving crispy, juicy pork, and this sandwich did NOT disappoint. The baguette was soft and the perfect vessel for their crispy, marinated pork. Another standout dish! Welcome to Camarillo, MAKASIH! We are SO happy to have you!

Friday night and we wanted to try the new " talk of the town". It definitely lived up to all the great reviews. The wings were to die for. Make sure you add the lime, it adds another layer of flavor to tie it all together. The Crispy pork sandwich was delicious. The sauce and fresh herbs make your mouth explode. The cocktails had a twist, and were very tasty. Service was on point while we sat at the bar. The restaurant is modern and chic. The patio looks amazing. We can't wait to come back. The owner stopped to chat with us for a bit. We love going places where the owner is passionate about their business. Great restaurant!

We stopped by for a casual dinner. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We sat at the patio. I ordered the Chicken Curry & Ramen Noodles and it was more than enough for me. My friend ordered the burger with fries, I had some of the fries and totally love it. We did not have any cocktails, perhaps next time. The cozy, modern ambiance made for a fantastic night out. This has easily become our new favorite spot, and we can't wait to come back!

A great meal! We started with drinks, Tom Kha Margarita and a PK. Both great tasting. The lemongrass comes through well in the Tom Kha. The PK is perfect for Fall right now with the nutmeg. We also tried the Yuzu Lychee Highball which was a change of pace with the carbonation. We shared the papaya salad, lumpia, and curry ramen. This was a great combination! The papaya salad was flavorful and so light. Lumpia had a great crunch. The shrimp tails were still on inside which threw me off, removed those and moved on. We used the lettuce on the plate as lettuce wraps and put some of the papaya salad in. Chicken curry ramen noodles was the star. Next time there will be no sharing. Ended it out with the mango sticky rice. The mango sorbet was a great refreshing end to the meal. Paired with the rice that had a touch of sweetness was so good. The service was great. If you sit facing the entrance you get a great view of the mountains. The patio looked great, we opted out due to the heat.

This was my first visit to Makasih. It's a decent sized place and you could go there with friends and family or on a date. The staff are friendly and prompt. The first thing I tried was the shrimp and pork lumpia, that was pretty good. However, I think the sandwiches we ordered were just ok. The fried chicken sandwich was under seasoned for me, the fries were good but not all of them were hot. My wife got the crispy pork sandwich which was ok, but don't be deceived by the chile pepper on the menu indicating "spicy", it was not. Also, tried the Yuzu Lychee Highball, it was ok as well. One thing that disappointed me was the dessert. We got the banana bread tres leches, so I expected it to be kind of "wet" and for the banana bread to be warm, especially if there is a scoop of ice cream on top. Either way, I'm sure Makasih will do well here in Camarillo and maybe I'll be back to try other items.

First time here, and we were so excited to finally give it a try since our office is nearby. Everything was delicious, but the wings were definitely the standout! The service was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance was warm and inviting. This place is truly a hidden gem in this part of town. Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. Definitely a must-try!

SHRIMP & PORK LUMPIA

We had a great experience at Makasih! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was friendly, gracious, and attentive. The food was really unique and flavorful. We especially loved the fish--so delicious, although we wished there was a little more dressing! The PK cocktail was unique and the papaya salad very refreshing! For desert, we had the banana tres leches cake with ice cream - also a must-try and the perfect way to end the meal. Overall, Makasih exceeded our expectations. Definitely recommend giving this place a try--we'll be back!

Food was amazing! Best wings in Camarillo! Never had anything like it.... Don't even get me started with the ranch 10/10. Service was great and attentive! We thought the restaurant can use some music other than that great for gatherings and sharing good food

incredible restaurant! my wife and I popped in for a quick visit and had the most amazing cocktails and post-buisness banquet noshes and deserts! SO HAPPY THIS IS IN CAMARILLO!

I never knew that this place existed until I got an invite to attend an Elite Yelp event today…read more This place is soooo beautiful! The food and drink they served today were all so delicious with beautiful presentation. My favorite was the filet mignon as It was so tender. My favorite dessert was the apple pie with vanilla ice cream. All the staff especially the bartenders were super friendly and helpful. There are lots of seatings inside and outside. I don't think you need to worry about getting too cold by sitting outside because there are lots of heaters. Overall I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone who would like to enjoy a nice meal with a spectacular view!

~ DRINKS & DINNER WITH A VIEW ~…read more I was excited to learn that Topa Restaurant was opening up to non-members during social hours, especially since I'd heard great reviews from some friends who are members. However, when we arrived, we were turned away despite being there at the right time and were told we needed a reservation. With the restaurant still pretty empty, we quickly made a reservation on yelp and asked if we could be seated then. The staff seemed confused, and the manager seemed frustrated that we were making the reservation at the last minute. We ended up having a cocktail and enjoying the poached pear and arugula salad with some wagyu meatballs, which were all pretty tasty. While the restaurant is stunning and would be a lovely place to spend an evening, and the food and drinks were enjoyable, the overall experience makes me reluctant to return. I do hope the they improve their service so that future patrons feel more welcomed and less like a burden, as Topa has the potential to be a fantastic spot in Camarillo.
