Our Reasoning: We felt uncertain about the level of potential waste in floral arrangements - not just in the number of botanicals used, but all of the vessels, votives, and tiny accoutrement that accumulates to make a ceremony, bar, and table arrangements. Prep Process: Christa has a very clear preparation process: an initial consult, a second consult, and a final in-person meeting. During our third meeting at her gorgeous Jersey City studio, we saw firsthand Christa's holistic approach. She and her team maintain a Michael's store-worth of vessels, stands, pedestals, vases, and so much more. Rather than purchase from Amazon again and again, she and her team have a deep stock from which to pull - and they have every variation you can think of - to develop floral scapes. During that visit, Christa and Brooklyn laid out a table setting in front of us multiple times over, allowing us to see in real time their artistic prowess. We developed two table scapes - one reflective of my tastes and one reflective of my husband's - and I left feeling completely confident that they would fully execute the spirit of the design we had in mind. They completely delivered.
Investment and Value: During our very first call, Christa was extremely forthcoming about the investment and value in florals. We had submitted a brief on what florals we expected we would need, and she broke down each line item to make clear exactly what we were getting for our money. At the end of our call, she asked us how the final value felt with our budget, and she graciously made adjustments to the proposal in real time to get us to a place that respected both our vision and how much we could invest. We were overwhelmingly impressed with her professionalism, transparency, flexibility, and kindness.
Creative & Execution: Artistically, we could not have been more pleased with our floral arrangements. Our floral palette was tough - we asked for blues in autumn! - and the final arrangements were exquisite, bringing so much warmth and brightness against stormy skies. Brooklyn and Christa expressed how exciting it was that we chose a bright, complex color palette to play with, and they made it sing. Everything was beyond our wildest hopes.
