Very disappointed with the quality of work from Veteran Air…read more I called Veteran Air before a major cold snap to have our heat pump checked out. Their technician, Jonathan Scholtz, diagnosed a corroded indoor evaporator coil and low system pressure. He also tried to upsell me on replacing the entire unit -- I should have realized that was a warning sign. Instead, they replaced just the coil. I paid the full amount ($3,233.85 after the veteran discount) and hoped that would be the end of it. About five months later, I started noticing the condensate pan overflowing and draining outside the house. I tried clearing the lines myself, but the dripping continued. Since it took Lisa from Veteran Air several hours to respond, I went ahead and called another HVAC company for help. They charged me a $150 on-site visit fee. The other technician was shocked by what he found: when Veteran Air replaced the coil, they never reinstalled the baffles around it and didn't even secure the coil properly in the brackets. There was basically no way for the condensation to drain correctly. He also confirmed the system pressure was still extremely low. The other techs could have fixed it right then, but they didn't want me to be out of pocket for repairs that should be covered under warranty. They recommended I call Veteran Air back to make it right. Here are pictures of what the other HVAC tech saw. I'm really disappointed -- I expected better, especially from a company that serves veterans. I wouldn NOT recommend Veteran Air based on this experience.

After striking out with other companies, I phoned Veteran Air. Lisa answered, listened, and looped in her service manager right away. Minutes later she called back: they could help, and we booked for Monday. Matthew, from Veteran Air, showed up this morning and was a total pro. He greeted my dogs like old friends, then tackled the monster unit without scratching the window frame or siding. Watching him wrestle that sealed-in relic out of the wall convinced me I never could've done it alone. The unbelievable thing? The bill was tiny. Way less than I expected for the time, tools, and muscle it took and such a good value. When I'm ready to add central AC, Veteran Air will be my first call. If they put this much care into a one-off rescue job, I can't wait to see how they handle a full install. Five stars, no hesitation.

We came home from a trip to find our downstairs AC blowing hot air and were already stressing. We had another company come out first and were given a pretty overwhelming quote, so we decided to get a second opinion. I am so glad we did. They were able to come out the very same day, within just a few hours, and had everything fixed by that afternoon. Our technician Tony took the time to explain exactly what was wrong, walked us through our options, and answered all of our questions without ever making us feel rushed or pressured. It's hard to find honest people who genuinely want to help, and that was our experience with Felix. We really appreciated the fair assessment, quick response, and quality work. Thank you so much for getting our AC back up and running so quickly. We will absolutely be calling Felix Air Service again if we ever need HVAC help in the future.

They did an entire maintenance routine anyways and luckily nothing was broken elsewhere, just the breaker. He was very knowledgeable and answered any questions that I had. He did not try to pressure me into a sale. He called in a second-tier technician, Daron, who was also very polite. However, after the visit, I was hit with an unexpected $75.00 fee. The technicians themselves were great, but management's dishonest pricing feels like a scam.

Omar REALLY impressed me. He was super friendly and took the time to get to know me and my family's needs and did his best to give us a quote that was competitive. They were a tiny bit higher than I had hoped, but in their defense, Omar is FAR more skilled than the average HVAC guy you'll meet and when they came out to do the instal, it wasn't just 2-3 guys, Omar had a crew of 4 people with him and they banged the entire removal of my old duct system and the new instal out in 8 hours with no breaks. I was VERY impressed to say the least. They also brought an AC unit that kept my house cool while they worked and my main unit was out of commission. In the end, everything was to code and/or better and I now have GREAT airflow in ALL vents, where my old system had almost no airflow in all the smaller vents. Omar told me he'd come back out to do any fine tuning of the system I might need after I see how it preforms over the next few days. It was really nice to see they did not put that on me but simply offered the follow-up as part of their service, so there again is a good reason why you pay a tiny bit more. It's simply a company that stands behind their company and have the customer first in mind. So, I'm signing up for their maintenance agreement too and they now have a new loyal customer. Don't hesitate to hire them. Their entire crew is top-notch and the lady answering the phone and makes it all happen equally deserve som credit here as she is every bit as professional as Omar and his crew.
