Unfortunately for me this part is only available at the dealer as a part of a set which was almost $400.00. I called American Auto Salvage and the guy on the phone informed me that they had several Dodge pickups in stock and told me I could come by and look for it. When I got there I forgot to bring a screwdriver to removed the part but the guy at the counter loaned me one. I immediately found a pickup similar to mine which had the part I needed. Unfortunately as the painter told me it disintegrated just as he described. I was able to find another Dodge truck in fairly good shape and was able to get the part off successfully. I was told earlier at the office that there was a $20.00 minimum charge for parts which I happily paid. When I got home the part fit permit on my vehicle. I was very happy with my new friend at American Auto Salvage and will return whenever i need a used hard to find part for my vehicle.

When I contacted the company, they first said they would send another transmission. Later they changed the story and said they would refund my money, but only if I paid my mechanic again to remove the transmission so they could pick it up. I paid again for labor to remove it. When they came to pick it up, they suddenly claimed that a warranty seal was broken and refused to take the transmission back. To make matters worse, they left the transmission in the middle of the street in front of the repair shop where my car is currently disassembled. At this point I have spent over $6,000 and my vehicle is still not repaired. It is extremely frustrating because no customer pays this amount of money expecting to buy a problem instead of a working product. Because of this situation, I will be filing formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), the Florida Attorney General, the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). THIS COMPANY IS A FRAUD. THEY DO NOT HONOR WARRANTIES WHEN THEIR PRODUCTS ARE DEFECTIVE, AND THE PARTS ARE SOLD WITH INFORMATION THAT DOES NOT MATCH THEIR REAL CONDITION

It's now 2pm and after I tried calling scrapys multiple times and from 2 different phones, was sent to voicemail each time, voicemail box was full. This has been a very stressful situation and scrapys has made it worse by playing around with my money causing me to owe the tow company more money, and I'm very dissatisfied! Would not recommend.

Purchased a transfer case for an old jaguar i was rebuilding, rebuilt a mini cooper with parts from there, and a mercedes. I have only one complaint and it isn't a bad one. I like mostly German cars and they dont carry much european inventory. which is understandable it being in what used to be a small town where everyone mostly drives american pick ups and SUVs. Ron, who escorted us to the vehicle was super nice and had some really interesting stories. It was nice chatting with him and it made things a little less stressful, given the situation. My husband had occasion a few years ago to retrieve belongings at J & B from a friend's vehicle who was killed in the accident. He said that the staff went out of their way to be sensitive to the nature of his being there and took care to make sure he had all he needed before he left. I can imagine they see a lot at a salvage yard so it is nice that they still remember that for the rest of us, dealing with a destroyed car and all that comes with it is thankfully not an every day occurrence.
