It's a wonderful movie palace! They screened Unforgiven last summer and it was a spectacular experience!

We decided to hit the movies as it was very hot outside and we went to go see the new Jurassic Park…read moremovie, which was really good. I mean it had good points and bad point shall I say and it looks like they might've set the stage for another movie down a line The theater foyer is very wide open and very clean and you have easy access to the ticket booth to the concessions and also a small game room. It's really a shame if you have a large family it will cost you a good chunk of change to get them popcorn and drinks. They do have a special where you can get a medium drink and a medium popcorn and you can also get two drinks in a popcorn, but it's expensive. I really wish movie theaters would reduce their cost And make it affordable. So why four stars instead of five and here is the answer the popcorn was stale despite putting extra butter on the popcorn. It was extremely chewy and had zero crunch. The second issue in movie theater, one where the movie was playing there was hardly any airflow. It was extremely uncomfortable to me anyway but it wasn't that cold especially on a hot day. You would think that they would have the air conditioning running a little better than what they did There is a renovation it looks like that will be happening. They will be putting in new stadium seats that recline and the seats are heated. Ain't that crazy?... Yes, we continue to go here to watch the movies. It's a nice location.

Theatre is cleans and cheap. The only thing I don't like are the new recliners that they installed…read more They just aren't comfortable. I miss the old seats.

Easily one of the best movie theaters in Frederick -- this is my go-to spot…read more The seats alone set this place apart: large, comfortable, fully reclining, and spaced out enough that people can walk by without you having to move. Huge upgrade from your typical theater experience. They also go beyond just movies. There's a full bar, real food (not just popcorn), and everything I've tried has been good -- most recently the BBQ chicken pizza. They also do themed drinks for new releases, which is such a fun touch. I love that they offer $7 Tuesdays (which do sell out fast) and regularly host events. I recently went to their Trailer Fest, and it was a great experience -- tons of previews, food samples, giveaways, and just an overall fun vibe. They also show throwback movies and have a rewards program, so there's always something going on beyond just current releases. Every time I bring someone here, they end up loving it too. It's clean, well-run, and just a really enjoyable movie experience all around.

I usually pay $12-$13 per ticket at Alamo. At Warehouse I paid $35.88 for 2 tickets. The food is pretty expensive, too. The "monster hot dog" (I believe it was called dogzilla) was a regular sized hot dog with some toppings and a SMALL side of chips for $13. Drinks were on the high side, too. Between the tickets, the food (hot dog and an appetizer), a couple adult beverages (one mixed drink and a beer) and one soda we spent $137.85 for two people. The theater itself is the reason for 3 stars. The heated, reclining seats are comfortable and spacious. The spacing between each aisle allows people to walk through comfortably. This theater is about the same driving distance for us as Alamo. I would choose Alamo every time.

A good experience overall…read more The placement of this theater is odd, but welcome: it's seemingly out in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by residences and cornfields and mom-and-pop mechanics shops. That said, it's a good theater. I enjoyed my experience. It's not going to be the best theater you've ever seen in terms of the movie quality; I don't think, for example, they have a 3D theater. But it's really good, especially for the price. The screens are good quality; the lighting and atmosphere of the place is pretty fly; the seats are really comfortable. I sat in one of their two big theaters; it had reclines, a small table area for food, cupholders, and the sound quality was superb. The signage inside is good. One note: screens 1 and 2 are right beside the bathroom. Screens 3-8 are on the other side of the building, so if you have a show in one of those theaters, it'll be a walk if you need to use the restroom. Their popcorn was good; they have butter dispensers by the Coke fountains. The Coke fountains are fountains, so refills are free. Not sure about popcorn. They do have available booze, both beer on draft and some other options (see photos). Staff were helpful, theater was clean, experience was good. It didn't strike me as the best theater experience I've ever had, but I'd go again. Very pleasant experience, especially given the location.

At 40 years old, this was my very first time at a drive-in movie, and to say I was excited is an understatement! I managed to catch the very last weekend of the season, and both films showing were horror movies. Was it the wisest choice for my first drive-in experience? Probably not. But I couldn't resist checking it out before the fall weather got too chilly--so yes, my very first drive-in movie was The Conjuring: Last Rites. Why not go big? We reserved a parking spot online for $10, which gave us peace of mind even though the lot wasn't full that night (maybe because it was the last day of the season, maybe because it was horror night). Either way, we got an excellent spot just a few rows back from the absolutely massive screen--about 40 ft by 60 ft! I even had to grab a selfie at the base of it to show just how huge it was. Tickets were $10 per person, and since you can bring your own snacks and drinks, it makes for an affordable night out. We did check out the snack bar too, and I was impressed--it had way more than a typical theater: burgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders, and more, all reasonably priced. The bathrooms nearby were well-labeled, lit, and clean. Tuning into the movie on the car radio at 88.7 FM was easy, and one of my favorite parts was the retro intros and national anthem before the movie started. They felt like they had been playing since the theater first opened in 1951--charming, nostalgic, and completely perfect. Settled in with my blanket, the passenger seat heater cranked up, and a big bowl of homemade popcorn and trail mix, I was in drive-in heaven. The movie was fun, but honestly, this review is about the experience, and Cumberland Drive-In delivered everything I could have hoped for. It was easy to find (GPS took us right to it), stress-free, and an unforgettable way to spend a late summer evening. I'll definitely be back next year--though probably for something other than a horror flick. Highly recommend making the trip and experiencing this slice of Americana for yourself!

We reserved our spots ahead of time but found that wouldn't have been necessary. The tickets were cheap enough for all of us to watch 2 new movies and the snack bar was also super cheap. We always try to patronize the snack bars when we go to the drive in since we've found out that's where they are able to earn most of their money. You can bring your own radio or get one from the snack bar. There is a nice grassy area in the front under the screen that kids can play in and everything is pretty relaxed at this drive in. Given it's one of the closer ones to us, we're going to be back again for their next season.

Have you ever had that friend or that one person you know very well who tells you to see a movie!…read moreYOU HAVE to see this film it's one of the best films and it is their favorite. Well, that's what I did. I went to Midtown cinema to see Sinners. It was a rainy, gloomy day, so it was perfect to go to the movie theater. I worked for myself, so I was able to go to a matinee at roughly about 1 PM. It was a very nice experience. Since I since I had the theater to my entire self I purchased a popcorn and a soda and of course the movie ticket! Well I was surprised to only find out that my bill came out to be $32 for a movie midday however I continued to watch the movie and this movie was okay! But that part that threw me off were the vampires. I definitely wasn't expecting that, but that was a great little pot plot twist at the end. I was not too fond of it, but the cinema was very nice. The bathrooms were very clean and the staff made up for it. I actually got a chance to talk to one of the staff members and we talked about movies and I told them how I didn't understand why it was vampires and then also Hoodoo which I came to find out. Is a different type of magic than Voodoo. I love that the film was fictional and based on a folklore, talking to someone at the movie theater, who actually studied film themselves was an amazing experience. I enjoy the conversation with the staff more than the movie.

The theater itself does not have the sound system like the newer ones, but it was good enough. It was a great experience for my daughters and I.

We enjoyed the experience so much that we returned to see Hedwig, Guys and Dolls and possibly the Rocky Horror Picture Show. This is a small community theater with up to 80 seats so basically you are right there in front of the actors. The actors are entirely volunteers and if you go to enough shows you'll recognize the same faces. They are always out in the lobby waiting to meet people after a show. If you looking for a fun, affordable way to see shows and even if you live a bit farther away, it's worth the drive. And for those of you with kiddos, they are also doing Frozen in December.
