In August my frig died, lost alot of food while trying to shop/buy with telephone calls and reading their web site. Of course many promises were made by these people but turned out to be BS. I paid full boat because I was in no position to deal and I didn't mind too much. $1500 bucks which was to include delivery, set-up (water&ice, leveling, removal of old frig) After they got my $$$$ (chg card) had to wait 3 days for delivery (not so quick). The crew came out and decided that they could not get the refrigerator in & thru to kitchen!! But I had brought in a larger frig a few years before. All they had to do was take the doors off .. and child can do in 10 mins max. They left, with my gate wide open...just drove off! I had to reschedule (more days w/o frig - more food wasted/lost). When 2nd delivery crew arrived, still had to disrupt so much furniture (unnecessarily) they took the frig doors off and walked it inside & thru home easily and quickly. Not prema donnas like the 1st crybaby crew. At this point I felt lucky to even have a refrigerator to turn ON. They said that they could not connect water for ice maker and water on door. They did not level the darn thing so that the doors will swing back, practically knock me over. I have a hard time with balance & walking, standing etc. So I bid them farewell, tipped generously and, again, just felt lucky. What an outfit. When I called about the first delivery crew the same original sales-hole wasn't near as nice and didn't have time or wanted to hear anything except bye bye .... he had already forgotten my name. I would never buy anything from them again, never believe anything they say nor recommend them or trust them with a desk fan!!!!! Mostly jerks with no conscience or honor at all.

We purchased a refrigerator from AF on December 23 with promised delivery on December 24.. It was not delivered. We received no phone call, nor any communication from American Freight. My husband returned the day after Christmas. We were once again promised delivery and told our information had been submitted to the "delivery company" One Rail. However, when we called the delivery company to follow up, we were advised that our delivery had never been scheduled by AF. That it had been cancelled because they didn't have a hook up kit. My husband returned to AF and explained what the delivery company said. This time, my husband asked the rep at AF to remove the hook up and reschedule the delivery. That we would take care of the hook up ourselves. At this time, the rep rescheduled the delivery and promised a date which again was missed. Frustrated, we called the delivery company again Only to be told that we were NOT scheduled. While I have tried to reach Several times at AF, it has been to no avail. I have Niall filed a dispute with my bank to have the funds refunded.. I will never recommend American Freight to anyone.

Some dents and scratches were made on our walls, but the drivers took photo,s and told us to call the manager the next day., The claim was quick and an adjuster came out that week. I bought a washer/dryer before this from Home Depot and wished I would have bought from American freight despite the damage to our walls.
