Then he left a cut out hole in the cabinet above the microwave because he had originally installed them to far to one side and had to be removed and reinstalled and then we still have the cord to the microwave rolled up in the cabinet so you can really only use one side of it. Needless to say working with him was a headache.

I really liked the owner who I thought came across as honest, knowledgeable and a straight shooter. Also, the pricing was fair, the selection and quality of granite was impressive and they were very easy to communicate with. We put down a deposit and things got rolling quickly. The counters went down beautifully but there was some question about whether or not they'd be able to get all of the backsplashes done with the amount of material we had in our slabs. Ultimately, they made it happen without any drama or delay which was really appreciated. I also want to mention how impressed I was with their trustworthiness. They basically had complete access to our house for three days as well as the codes to get in and they didn't abuse the trust we placed in them whatsoever. The place was in exactly the same shape it was when we returned, with the exception of the fantastic granite they installed! All in all, great experience. Five stars.

Boy, do I wish I had purchased all my cabinets from TOPS. Pricing was competitive. Quality was competitive. Service and responsiveness were not even close. TOPS reflected what used to be customer service in this country. I had an issue. Keep in mind TOPS and the "P" place do not install, they only sell the cabinets. After visiting the TOPS location to address my issue the store manager came to my home to look at the problem. He addressed and resolved it. The problem was largely my general contractors installation. Since I paid to have the cabinets put together by TOPS I thought it was the assembly and placement of the drawer tracks; it wasn't, but the manager addressed and corrected my issues. You cannot buy this kind of service. You either get it or you do not. When I had an issue with the cabinets I purchased at the "P" place I made six (6) trips of 35 minutes each trip to their location seeking resolution. Workers constantly showed up late, worked only a couple of hours, and then left. The only thing this company stayed consistent with was asking for money. Alex, the owner, was extremely disrespectful, dishonest, and very difficult to deal with throughout the entire process. Communication was awful, promises were not kept, and the quality of work does not match the amount of money paid. Now I'm left having to redo work that should have been done correctly the first time. Both vanities were made the wrong size. The one in the Primary bathroom was 5 inches too large even though the wall was measured several times. It had to be cut down and it is still one inch larger than the wall is. The one in the Powder room was made too small and the owner Alex refused to make a new one the correct size. Instead a filler piece of wood was mounted onto it. If you are a woman alone, definitely stay away from this company. I was talked down to by both the owner Alex who once told me to "mind my own business" and by workers who walked into my home and told me "I'm not going to paint your closet door, I'm only going to clean it because I'm not being paid to do this job" and "I'm not going to regrout the Primary bath (after they had dirtied it because they didn't cover the new tile floor and grout when installing the oversized vanity which they then cut on top of the new tile and grout without covering it with paper to protect it) I'm only going to clean it". I was told the job would take 45 days and it took 91 days not including the day they had to come back to redo what they should have done in the first place. The week before Christmas, the week of Christmas and the week of New Years no one showed up to work. There was another week within my 91 days that no one showed up as well. When the workers did show up, they had an attitude that they were doing you a favor. My house was left filthy. Do yourself a favor, get a contractor and go buy your tile, lighting, vanities, hardware and shower equipment at Todel in Gulfstream in Hallandale Beach. Beautiful store!
