I found out about Bobbie and Revival Workshop and gave him a call. Bobbie is a wealth of information about furniture. He picked up the furniture and recommended a finish for the pieces. All were delivered yesterday and well worth the wait. The dressers and bedside table look beautiful! I couldn't be happier. Bobbie and Jemala delivered the pieces which are well made, 60+ years old and heavy as s--t! Everything was wrapped to protect it and placed perfectly up two flights of stairs! Once in place Bobbie polished each piece with care and spoke about the process he used to bring these pieces back to life. He applied just the right amount of matte, not too glossy. Just perfect. I have two more pieces to bring him and know they will be handled properly and look beautiful when done. My parents would be very happy with the restoration of their furniture!

He repaired an antique rocking chair with care and attention to detail, charging me less than he should have given the amount of time he spent on it. Four stars instead of five because it took longer than promised, but arctic cold had something to do with the delay. Highly recommended if you're not in a hurry but more interested in a great job.

Somehow, when hubs and I moved from Westchester to the Catskills in '24, the top corner broke during transport. I couldn't part with this cherished heirloom piece- so I tried to DIY it. Tbh, I'm really not a DIYer- I rather pay someone to do it than me buying a gazillion products to repair something myself. Tucked away in the scenic town of High Falls, NY, Rosado Works is a rare find in a region full of furniture repair shops- but many that don't work on small pieces. While those repair shops overlook smaller pieces like mine, Rosado Works specializes in giving these items (and larger ones too) the attention they deserve. Luis isn't just a woodworker, but a true artisan. He treated that one specific jewelry case with the respect it deserved, carefully repairing the worn look of it, refreshing the finish and bringing it back to life. Honestly, my jewelry case now stands sturdier- hell, even prettier than I ever imagined. I also brought a green painted chair with metal studs on the seat that needed one of its sticks on the back to be permanently placed. And while I tried using wood glue to hold the stick in place, that stick would hold for about a minute and fall all over again. So I needed Luis' help. Again, he went beyond the 'wood glue' because in reality, my chair needed more surgery than that. Just a heads-up: there might be a bit of a wait, as your pieces won't be the only ones on his bench. But he always gets to them- and staying in touch via text keeps things smooth. Totally worth the patience for the quality of work he delivers. Ca$h, Zelle & Venmo payments accepted. If you have something that matters- whether it's a family piece or a flea market find, this is the place to trust with it.

About seven years ago my wife and I purchased a beautiful leather sofa bed at Ethan Allan's…read morefurniture store in Garden City NY. To write it is a high end sofa would be an accurate description so you can imaging our surprise when we heard a snap when I sat on the sofa. I pull the bed mechanism out and I could see a metal rod, in the rear was broken. I called Ethan Allan and received a list of their recommended repair companies. All companies are independent but they are Allan recommended (They are familiar with the Allan products). I called the two companies here on Long Island and got machines at both. I called Furniture Repair in 845 area code...up state NY and actually spoke to a human being. I explained my dilemma, and was told to take a picture of the break and e mail it to them. Okay, done and done. She called back and told me the cost for the repair was going to be $400. Bottom line. The sofa was expensive so I knew the repair was not going to be an easy fix. I was given a date for repair and when that day came I was expecting a repairman to arrive with the rod/part. Not so. I met Craig and his assistant James as they were removing a LARGE box from the rear of their delivery truck. What the ??? I watch James open the box and I could see what appeared to be the entire sofa-bed mechanism. I told Craig there must be some mistake. I just need the lower rod replaced. He told me they used to weld that part but it always snapped again so this was the only way to do that repair properly. Now I'm not happy with this news. The sofa cost about $ 4500. I'm doing quick math and estimate the cost for the primary part of the bed to be at least $1500-2000. Craig...I was told the cost for this repair would be a total of $400. Yes, that's right. $400. $400 for the part, the delivery and your repair... That's right. As I watched Craig and James take the entire sofa mechanism into my home I began to come out of shock. This is impossible. My wife and I watch them work like a well oiled machine, no doubt this was not their first rodeo. It took them less then 30 minutes to removed the defective part.and replace it with the new. They even replaced all cushions. There's nothing more I can write, oh maybe one more important fact: prior to this service call I have never even heard of the Furniture Repair company. My review is unsolicited but I want everyone in need of just about any furniture repair to consider Furniture Repair, Reupholstery & Refinishing.
