I am incredibly impressed. I have never been to a fear free clinic before. I cannot believe what a wonderful experience it Was for my 2 dogs Maggie and Miles. Everyone at this practice is so kind, understanding and caring. BEST VET VISIT EVER. My 2 are normally horrible at the vets. I don't know that it's possible to accurately express how I just experienced Main Street Vet. As an almost 60 year old, professional who has always been a pet owner, I have never experienced what I experienced there the last 2 days. EVERY SINGLE employee was incredibly kind, loving, patient and tolerant of my neurotic behavior with my boy Trotter! There wasn't one person who could've extended themselves to me more than they did. I just stopped in to get flea medicine for my dogs and because I've not been there for a year I was denied. I called another vet and they told me since my dogs were not patients they couldn't give me the medication. I went online and ordered from Amazon and I'll get it tomorrow. Not happy with this situation and wonder why Amazon can give me the medicine but my local vet can't. It's absurd. read more

We have two kitties, Rhett and Scarlett, who have been happy patients of Ark Animal Hospital in Chalfont and Souderton for all their lives. Rhett is doing well at age 14, but Scarlett at age 13 was recently diagnosed with thyroid problems then finally, terminal cancer. We have nothing but praise for the professional care, sincere concern and compassion shown by Dr. Seelaus and the staff at Ark Animal Hospital of Souderton. Sadly, we had to send Scarlett to kitty heaven. Drs. Seelaus and Smith made this difficult process as easy for us as possible. I LOVE this animal hospital and will never take any of my pets anywhere else! When my last dog was alive, she battled severe skin allergies for most of her adult life. She was on every special food, diet, medicine, whatever, for YEARS. Blood tests, allergy tests, all the testing could never figure out what it was that she was allergic to. At my wit's end, I discovered the raw diet, and called my vet's office about it at the time to see if they could help me transition her to a raw diet. That vet told me they would not support this transition and would not see her again once I transitioned her. So I put out the call to my facebook peeps about vets who would be open to and supportive of a raw diet, and my friend suggested her vet - Ark Animal Hospital of Chalfont. We had been living in the city at the time and made the trek up to Chalfont just to work with doctors who were more supportive than the ones local to us. We brought her there until the day we had to put her down (RIP Moko). Fast forward a few years - we didn't have a dog for a while because we were working on relocating out of the city. When we finally rescued our current dog, I went to the web to look up Ark Animal Hospital of Chalfont for their number, and lo and behold, they had a location closer to our new house! So Ark Animal Hospital of Souderton it is! The staff at this office is just as friendly and caring and sweet as the other location. I am very pleased with the service and care we are provided with here. The staff remembers us and remembers past visits and are always so kind. The vets have been extremely thorough and confident in their diagnoses. I never have a problem getting an appointment when I need one, thanks to their generous office hours. I highly recommend this animal hospital to anyone who asks me who we take our pets to! read more

We just moved to the area and were in need of a vet for a very ill cat. They were able to squeeze us in around my work schedule. The vet and staff were AWESOME!!! We ended up having to put our cat to sleep. They gave us the time we needed to say good bye and never felt rushed. I am so thankful I found this place. My dog is a new patient at this hospital and right from the moment I had questions regarding the visit, the staff including the vet have been super attentive and informational. I can't say enough about the doctors and staff at both Ark Animal hospital locations - they are fantastic and so kind . I recently had to euthanize both my elderly cat and Bernese Mountain dog , it all happened in less then a month. The doctors took the time to answer all of our questions, educated us about all their health issues and supported our family. It was so heartbreaking , shocking and stressful to lose a furry family member but the doctors and staff truly made it easier for us . I have had many animals in my lifetime but this is the BEST veterinarian hospital I have ever used ! I feel blessed to have found these wonderful doctors - I will continue to be a loyal customer to The Ark ! read more

My daughter has used this vet practice for her cat and had her sweet Vera euthanized here when the time came. This is not my regular vet as it's a bit of a distance from my house but when my cat needed to be put down, I chose to go here because of her experience. I was grateful that I wasn't turned away because I had not come to this practice beforehand so I made the appointment and, late in the day on a Friday, took my "boy". I was received by a very compassionate staff person. Unfortunately he had an "accident" in his crate while in the car and he was literally a stinking mess. The vet assistant was quick to clean him up without any attitude of disgust ( and it was disgusting! ) and wrapped him in a towel, talking to him the whole time. His crate was not worth saving but this staff person was willing to clean it if that's what I had wanted. Even though my boy was ready to breathe his last, he was offered treats to eat until it was time for the vet to come in. He was very hungry and I was told to give him as many treats as he wanted. He actually continued eating even when the vet gave him the initial sedative and within seconds, he was still. He then got the dosage that ended his life on earth. The vet and assistant were so sensitive to my grief and respectful to me and my "boy" which made a painful experience bearable. This practice offers the owner an impression of their pet's paw prints and a snip of fur as a memorial to take home.The fact that this practice does such a thing speaks volumes to me of the care they extend to their customers and patients, especially considering that it costs money to purchase the memorial boxes that house the paw prints. My daughter's experience with her cat was very positive both regarding knowledgeable vets and reasonable prices. I would recommend that anyone come here even if they have to drive a bit farther; you won't regret it. read more

First visit I met Dr. Smith and loved her. She's thorough, caring and goes well beyond whatever you might expect. I was ecstatic as the place is so convenient and the hours aren't bad. It's been a mad dash downhill ever since. They don't answer the phone but tell you to leave a message and they'll call you back - all leaving the message does is cost you more time because they won't return the call. It took two weeks for them to respond to an email - and my email was a response to them! And worst of all - no more Dr. Smith. I am sad to say this was a very disappointing, fruitless, inefficient waste of precious time. read more

It does not get any better than Ark Animal Hospital - Souderton! I have owned many animals over the years and I've never felt so welcomed and at home. The Souderton office is like a modern old fashion doctor. The office is very new and clean however you get the small town old fashion care that seems to be missing these days. Everyone we meet including the receptionist, the vet tech and the doctor were so friendly and helpful. Each one of them seemed to genuinely care about our dog. Dr. Smith has to be the best vet I have ever encountered! She is beyond experienced yet still takes her time explaining everything and answering every single question I had (and I had A LOT). We have had some issues with our puppy Flynn and at each appointment she has gone above and beyond with making sure our puppy is on the right track. I seldom write reviews because it's hard to find the time however in this case I felt compelled since I had a hard time finding other reviews. This office and the staff are seriously a hidden gem! read more
