They NEVER return calls. Office staff always seem flustered and disorganized. So unprofessional.

Tamas to the average experience I've had at the local big vet that I had been going to for over 15 years...

My dog's vet is Dr Wally Stutz and it should be made known that if there was a rating system of 1 to 10 he always receives an 11!!!

Said "comfort room" was just a regular exam room with bright, harsh lighting, two extremely thin blankets on the floor, and a tiny bench that could barely fit two people (there were 5 of us). Nothing comforting about it, not to mention we could very clearly hear the staff in the front lobby giggling, gossiping, and joking around while we are about to euthanize our dog! It was completely absurd. I can't imagine the front staff was unaware of the euthanasia but, they did not seem to care that it was happening. We were also left to wait about 15 minutes before the doctor even came into the room. When he did finally come in, Dr. Wagner greeted us by asking "How are you all doing today"...Which would be fine if we weren't there to euthanize our dog? I think it would've been more appropriate to offer sympathy than to ask how we are doing. In all honesty, the most offensive part of this entire experience was the card that came with our dog's ashes. It was generically signed "from the doctors and staff....etc", no personal message from Dr. Wagner, or even our dog's NAME written on the card. It's clear a bunch of these cards are pre-written out and left in a drawer to be thrown carelessly into the bag with a pet's ashes before being returned to the owner. I would've rather there be no card at all than the offensive, pathetic excuse of a sympathy card that we received. I may be baffled by this situation because I have experience working in the field and have been a part of many euthanasias that were much more pleasant than this but this was an awful experience on top of the heartbreak from putting down a beloved pet.

This was NOT about a diagnosis! You should apologize for the demeanor and rudeness of your staff member Cari. Your response is another reason why people should not visit your facility. We got better care at North Penn Veternarian Hospital we made the mistake of giving your business a try, at least they had EMPATHY during a very very heart-breaking time. ***People reading this, Save your $250 for "non-diagnosis", dismissive, rude attitude from Cari and go elsewhere*** also read google reviews...Cari seems to have been rude to others as well.

I should have came here before I made an appointment at this place…read more I am distraught and disgusted as to how I was treated at IVAH. I had an appointment for 9AM. I always thought it was respectable to be early to appointments. I arrived and walked in at 8:55 AM. Instead of being greeted with open arms, I was scolded for opening the door prior to them opening. I apologized and said we had an appt at 9. Again, I was given an attitude that they were not open yet and there was no doctor and normally the door is locked... but it wasn't so I could take a seat..I did. I continued to get attitude even after mentioning I was confused as to WHY I WAS GETTING AN ATTITUDE... no response to that... but they didn't get the records I e-mailed over 3 times... so I also got an attitude about that. A man walks in to get medication for his cat... also prior to 9AM... and he was welcomed so nicely and was told his animal was their favorite and making it very clear that I was not welcome at this animal hospital. Not only did I have to wake up early, I had to wake up my sick 1 year old, take him to daycare early, walk the dog early so she could get her poop sample.... and still arrived 5 minutes early ... BUT THAT WASN'T THE RIGHT THING TO DO. I moved from Penn Ridge animal hospital bc I thought IVAH being closer would be better (also more expensive) but I am so glad I did not give them a DOLLAR and Penn Ridge welcomed me back with a same day appointment. Your staff is inappropriate, rude, and completely forgot that I AM THE CUSTOMER and how they treated me was uncalled for. DO BETTER! I do not stand for people belittling others and that is what your front desk staff did. UNBELIEVABLE. CLEARLY seems like the common issue is the staff.. I doubt the doctors even know what is happening. As I look through the other reviews... and the pictures online.. yes, Cari was who was ignorant to us and made us leave... I did call her an A HOLE so I feel better with that. I am responding to the below that I had no appt. You are hilarious and you should not delete me out of the system. However, I have receipts. I'll call your office if you wish.

Our very friendly dog got her lepto shot from a tech while Dr. Derstine looked on. No problem. Then another "tech" (long, dark, straight hair) came in for the blood draw and repeatedly stuck our petrified dog while she complained about "fur" until our dog understandably started wriggling and shrieked. Then Dr. Derstine and the 1st tech held down our dog until the incompetent tech got it write. We hate ourselves for allowing this to occur but we have never seen anything like in many years of dog ownership. Our dog ran out of the office and didn't look back. Neither will we. Dr. Derstine, it is not accepted vet practice to train techs in your office!!!

It seems that they are using vets not necessarily connected with their practice. The vet we saw was totally okay but was asking the vet tech about services. Original vets I saw are no longer there and its unclear who really are the office vets. Prices for service are very high and I was charged for meds that I'm not sure I even needed for totally inside cats. Everyone I interacted with was positive, but service was a bit slow compared to my other previous interactions. This is just not the place I originally was so happy with.
