Sadly, Main Street no longer reigns supreme on the local pizza front. It's been up and down for years but we keep giving it a try when we are in town, hoping it's one of the "up" times. Our last visit will be our last for a while. We ordered a large pepperoni and there was one slice of pepperoni on every other slice of pizza. The crust had no flavor at all and was a dense texture. Came at 3pm for the 12-4pm pizza by the slice deal and was told they were sold out for the day. But then they said if I waited 25 mins they would make some more slices so I waited. Also ordered the Italian Sub with "everything minus tomato" which outside of the bread was disappointing. The bread looks nothing like the example on the website menu and It was clearly assembled using only sparse pizza toppings (diced ham seriously?) and missing onions, pickles, mustard, mayo. I like to think of myself as a pretty good judge of pizza and this has to be some of the best pizza I have had in a very long time. We ordered a small Special, Cheesy Bread and a salad for 2 ppl and it was the perfect serving for us. The price was right on the money. We are staying on the north west corner of Indian Lake near Kitch-iti-kipi. The pizza was still hot and made the trip like a pro. We are not fans of greasy pizza and this anything but heartburn greasy. Great puffy pillows of goodness with both the bread and pizza. The salad was screaming FRESH. I read the previous review and they mentioned the word #%it 3 times. After eating the pizza today I would have to say that previous reviewer has some sort of vendetta against this business. We had a 12 inch sausage mushroom onion. We wanted a 14 inch but were told the owner was not making them now which was weird but the pizza was good. We are from the Chicago area which of course has the best pizza but this place could hold their own. Crust was soft with crunchy ends. Ingredients fresh and plenty of cheese. Staff met us at the door and brought out our pizza due to COVID. Gentlemen giving us the pizza was polite and friendly. Will order here again. read more

Ever since the owner and his daughter have taken over from Cricket, who has run this location since its inception in the 80's, the pizza is SHIT. The service is SHIT and the whole damned dump is SHIT. I would rather eat the greasy undercooked 40's Bar and Grille pie, drive all the way to Woody's Outpost and get their pie. Didn't get to try a pizza. It's 2017 and they don't take credit or debit card. They also don't deliver before 4pm. Just seems like a poor way to serve customers. They were nice enough on the phone however. It's just a shame that their business model is stuck in the dark ages. read more

I'm a little disappointed if this is the "best pizza Manistique could offer". It's just a take-out place, but I had no idea from Yelp reviews. We walked in starved to order pizza, waited for 15min after we paid, only to realize they made a mistake and hadn't started making our pizza. They were very nice to give us a free 2 liter soda as apology. By sitting there and eat high for 30min, I liked the lady who runs the place, but their food is below expectation unfortunately. Also they gave me Honey French dressing (very weird orange paste with some paprika, ugh) instead of the ranch I asked for.. Manistique seems to be short of choices for decent restaurants. There's a Chinese place next to Main Street pizza thats not on Yelp. They looked not bad. The front lady even speaks Chinese. That could be a good sign. read more

Friendly! We enjoyed our pizza from here. For a small town, this place isn't too bad. It had ample toppings. It definitely could have stood to have some more cheese on it. They don't accept credit/debit cards or checks from 50 miles away. Not to mention I could hear the entire conversation taking place when the man asked if they could take a "non local check". The conversation was so rude that it made me happy this establishment is NOT in my home town (the chain is but not these particular owners). We chose NOT to order from here and to order from a place that delivered to our hotel without making us seek an ATM for cash... Because they considered our check to be LOCAL BECAUSE IT IS. A few times i have called at around 10pm and no one would answer and tried many times and we would go by and they would be closed at 10pm when they say they are open till 12am. It was good pizza I won't lie... the guy making it, the tatted guy with a missing tooth was swearing and talking crazy while I waited another ten minutes for my pizza. I understand the UP has a problem with the lower state but if I come up there don't tell me "when you go back down there tell everyone the UP is the nastiest f*cking place you've ever seen.
