Since they are a franchise they are not identical, and each one seems to play off the local identity and try to have decor that aligns with the area as well as the bear themed stuff. They have a really extensive menu and breakfast is served all day. My only regret is I love tri-tip and they have it on the menu but each time I was at a Black Bear they had run out. Admittedly we had arrived very late and I'll assume it's both good and popular since all three had run out. It's worth noting that for breakfast, they have real link sausage as well as other options and the sausage is nothing that grocery store skinless junk most places serve today. I was glad to see they had good quality thick bacon as well as several sausage choices for breakfast.
