I am still trying to fully wrap my brain around this promotion. Even with the 50% sale and taking 2 separate days to walk around the store i was only able to come up with a handful of items that i would buy. Not necessarily because of the price but rather i just didn't think most of what they had was worth buying. There were some items that i thought the prices were just way too high but not really many of them. Not a great spot for a store, i wish them the best but probably wouldn't make a special trip out here any time soon, especially if they aren't running their 50% off sale.

Absolutely do not miss this shop. It's not your average, run of the mill antiques mall. You walk in…read morean immediately you'll know there's plenty to buy. Antique glassware, pottery, tools, furniture, lamps, artwork, toys, jewelry and so much more- you can outfit your house from top to bottom. Wicked good prices & happy owners who are the best in the business. If you leave empty handed you didn't look hard enough. The ancient old building is the perfect setting for exploring. I've been buying here for a decade plus- I've bought pieces in there I've never seen anywhere else. Old fashioned shopping without the sticker shock and stuffiness you get at all the other so called ANTIQUE SHOPS. You will leave with a smile & a truck full of great stuff.

So much so I hesitate to touch anything. The shelves and floor are no better. People might be more apt to purchase something if it was clean and neatly put on the shelves. I have seen the woman that puts out the items just plunk them any place and most of it is real junk. Its not worth my time to go anymore.

Ive shopped here a few times during the pandemic and each trip I've found the store to be completely COVID compliant. It's a large store with everything kind of spread out and at times I've found some really great items. Depending on the day or week certain color tickets go on sale. . Today the 50% off tickets were : white and blue. Green tickets : , .99 Everything is hung up and catagorized. But you do have to look through long racks - sometimes loaded with overpriced items and it takes time. If you have the patience and can deal with the fact that it's an older store, the long racks with some of the stock stained/ripped etc it can be a good place to shop for vintage, modern & anything in between. You never know what you will find! I'll also add that each time I've been here the staff are always pleasant and helpful !

Only a ramp. Once inside the layout seemed odd too. But then I noticed signs with arrows regarding the many departments. ..that was helpful. The inside of this place has seen better days. I wish it was closer to where I live. I probably won't return unless I'm out that way again....

We enjoy shopping at Salvation Army and other…read morethrift stores, but literally walked out of the Gardner store very disappointed and kinda pissed on 08-16-14. Used, beat up, dirty, boys sneakers: $9.99. Kids paperback book: $4.99. Kids t-shirt: $3.99. None of which were super high quality, major, name, high fashion brands. The shoes and t-shirt were Wal-Mart brand items. An elderly woman was looking for a blanket or quilt for her dog. There was a fake sheepskin, brown, worn out, stained blanket marked $39.99. The woman said that she had to look 3 times at the price because she thought her eyes were playing tricks on her. Something isn't right there... Not sure if it's the management or an employee marking the items at these prices, but it's wrong, crazy and unfortunate. We visited a Salvation Army store in Portsmouth, NH and filled a giant bag with shoes, clothing, a giant crockpot, and other various items for $35 bucks a few weeks ago and most of the items were brand new with the store tags still attached. Out of curiosity, we took a ride over to the big Fitchburg Salvation Army and wow!! What a price difference! How can the prices differ so much between the stores? Why is Gardner overpriced by so much?? Skip Gardner and go over to Fitchburg, Turners Falls, Greenfield or Hadley next time. Worth the drive!
