Reservations are definitely a must, they have limited seating and control the amount of customers dining. That's not necessarily a bad thing. Our server was great, small details obviously matter to her. Our group tried two of the bruschetta dishes, garlic bread and tomatoes. Both delicious, especially with a side of red sauce. The cocktails were well poured. The entrees were mostly spot on; the Delmonico steak and lasagna received high marks. The chicken parm was good, but I'll try something else next time. Despite being one of the few patrons in the restaurant, my order took quite some time to come out. Drinks were made instantly, but I finished two before my entree arrived. The bathroom was strangely the only sticky element of the establishment. *Ribeye: huge 18 ounce ribeye served with sweet potato fries and creamed corn. Although I asked for medium rare, the edges leaned closer to medium well. That said, the steak was thoroughly seasoned and tender throughout. The sweet potato fries were heavily seasoned with sea salt, though the potatoes themselves were sweet enough to balance it out. The creamed corn was the most pungent and watery component. I wished the sauce had been thickened more, as it pooled underneath the steak and softened the bottom crust. Overall, this dish was hefty and a steal for the price. *Frost Bite: one of the seasonal mixed drinks. The Malibu and pineapple juice gave this a pina colada style profile. The blue curacao added a striking snowy appearance, though the drink itself leaned quite sweet. *Jingle Juice: another seasonal option, though this one packed a stronger alcohol punch. The tequila was more prominent, while the peach schnapps helped soften the edge. However, the cranberry and orange juices were barely noticeable, so it did not quite deliver the spiked fruit punch profile I was expecting. I loved the generous portions and strong flavors. While the execution was not perfect, the large sizes and heavy pours still made this a jolly experience.

I have been going here for years, and this used to be one of my favorite spots. Unfortunately, the…read moreattitude and level of service I've experienced recently have really gone downhill. My last two interactions have made it unlikely that I'll be going back anytime soon. Example 1: I called at 7:23 p.m. and specifically asked how late they were open because a friend and I wanted to get cheesesteaks. I was told they were open until 8:00 p.m. We arrived at approximately 7:35 p.m., only to be told that the grill had already been turned off and they were no longer serving cheesesteaks. I noticed there was a sign stating that the grill closes at 7:30 p.m., but that information was not mentioned when I called. If I call ahead to ask how late you're open, it seems reasonable to mention that the grill closes well before the actual closing time. Otherwise, saying you're open until 8:00 is pretty misleading when a major portion of the menu is unavailable by 7:35. Example 2: A few days later, I came in with another friend to get food. After ordering, I sat in the chairs and waited. When I saw my food come out from the back to be finished and wrapped, I stood up and walked toward the counter to get ready to pick it up. I had been standing there for less than three seconds when I was abruptly yelled at for being too close to the counter. What made this especially frustrating was watching other customers approach the same counter, stand there, talk, and place orders for considerably longer without receiving the same treatment. Less than 30 seconds later, my food was ready, meaning I had to approach the counter again anyway. If there is a rule about where customers are allowed to stand, that's fine post a simple easy to read sign then just politely ask customers to wait in a particular area. There was absolutely no reason to yell at someone who had simply stood up to collect an order that was visibly being finished. I've supported this place for years, which is why these experiences are so disappointing. Good customer service require only a little clear communication and basic courtesy. Providing that minimal quality of service would have made both situations nonissues. Unfortunately, after being treated this way twice in such a short period of time, I don't have much desire to return anytime soon.
