To my surprise, my partner came back to pick up her clothing and it had clearly shrunk! We have never been to a professional cleaners that was so UNPROFESSIONAL!! The staff here had the audacity to be incredibly rude and dismissive! There was absolutely no apology, no offer to make things right, and not even the slightest sense of responsibility for the mistake. We should have read the reviews before trusting them with my clothing. Needless to say, we will not be returning, and I will warn everyone from coming here!! Please avoid this place! I have had several bad experiences here but this one takes the cake. I brought in my favorite white shirt that I wore on my wedding day, only to pick it up with multiple stains on it. The stains were not there when I dropped it off. When I brought it to their attention, the owner was rude and offered no compensation. Unbelievable. He also had the audacity to tell me that the shirt wasn't starched when it clearly was. I've worn the shirt for 7 years, I know what it feels like with starch on it. My girlfriend took her wool coat to to this place to get it dry cleaned and they shrunk the coat... A LOT!!! When we went to talk to the owner about possibly compensating her for shrinking the coat, he became irate. Extremely argumentative! Never apologized and cursed me out for simply pointing out facts. He struck the coat and didn't want to own up to it and admit he did a poor job. This not only speaks to his business but his character as well. They have damaged several expensive clothing item sand refused to attempt to make amends. Despite the questionable reviews, I wanted to give this long-time Tucker establishment a try; it didn't hurt that there was s 20% coupon on Yelp. I took in five pieces: 3 dresses, a pair of slacks, and a shirt. I alerted the cleaners to a raspberry spill on one of the dresses, and the attendant placed numerous stickers on the dress alerting to the problem area. When I arrived to pick up the dress, there was no tag or note concerning the spot, and I presumed that the spot had come out; it had not. Worse yet, when I got home, I realized that other items weren't "clean." Though they may have been dry cleaned, I had to spot cleaning two items when I got home. For items that they charged $10 to clean. I don't expect this business to be laundry wizards, but I do expect that if I'm going to pay $10 (yes, you read that right) to have a garment dry cleaned, there will at least be some notification that the spot could not be treated. Other cleaners put a tag on the item to alert the customer of the issue (so at the very least you don't unknowingly wear the item). I still question whether the stain was treated at all. To their credit, the attendant suggested that there might be some other "solution" that could be tried on the dress; the time to suggest that option isn't after I've paid for the service and discovered that original stain remains. Finally, I want to second a concern raised by other Yelpers: I was underwhelmed by the customer service. The attendant had headphones and couldn't be concerned about whether my garment was cleaned or not. The prices are high and the customer service is lacking. I will not return. read more

We needed to have a suit sent to the dry cleaners and we didn't feel like waiting an entire week and a half.. So we decided to use main street cleaners. And we also needed alterations done. We normally go to a different dry cleaners but we decided to try this one. Turns out we want to continue using this one because they get the job done faster and they're cheaper and they did a great job. I've been going here 30 years or so. Price vs expectations. Bob and his family are nice people. 99% of the customers are happy. The other few (of the thousands they help a year), leave crappy comments. I'd be very clear what I want when I drop it off. If it is a large washable item, take it to Pura Vida across the street. I worked next to June's building for years. I would sit in my office and watch the fights over expensive, damaged items spill out into the parking area. No place is perfect. My cheap dress shirts for a dollar something, I can't beat. They just put in a brand new eco, non perc, dry cleaning machine. State of the art. Try it again. Take a picture in the shop of the stains, compare it if it doesn't look good, but even when I've lost buttons, or the press was not perfect, they redo it for free. If you are reasonable in your expectations, they will be. So, don't ever expect a $1000+ check for a wedding dress you probably have stuff all over you were to drunk to notice when you stuffed it in a bag for your inlaws to drop off somewhere, while you are on your honeymoon. read more

PLEASE take your business elsewhere. I dropped off ten dress shirts and two white coats last week and come to pick them up this morning and the employee said "they weren't even washed"...come at 1pm and my white coat had stains in it and was pressed but still wrinkled, he said "makeup doesn't come off" and that "he didn't see the stain line" that was vertically in front of it. I asked them to please rewash it. When I come back at 5:15pm they couldn't find it, my clothes weren't "finished" yet and the coat was found "laying on some machine" still stained and not re-ironed. He said all he could do was not charge me for the coat while smirking....I dry clean my clothes every two weeks and just moved to the area so needed to find a new one. They advertise they have been here 50 years so decided to give them a try....please take your business elsewhere, they clearly don't want it. read more

I'm surprised at some of these reviews. I've used this cleaners for well over 25 years and never had anything but first rate service and quality. Recently, I had seams in a comforter burst during cleaning. I admit this was not a big dollar comforter but you expect at least more than 60 days worth of service from an item (Sears)in the $100 range. I initially THOUGHT that cleaning could have hurt the comforter, but on closer examination, the majority of the seams just "let go" very consistently...it was very poor workmanship. Main Street refused payment for the cleaning even though it was clear the comforter not their process was inferior. Off I went to Sears N-Lake. They refused to do anything, And had a VERY we could care less attitude. I was so angry at Sears, I returned again to Main Street the same day and demanded to pay, at least something - it wasn't their fault this import mdse fell apart.. They still refused. I was impressed. So yes, they get my cleaning business.. And Sears no mas. Had ol Sears offered anything, (I wanted to trade UP) I'd feel differently . Now, I know why our local sears is looking like a ghost town - apathy toward the customer. Congrats to Main Street for valuing this customer, I will be back. This is the second locally owned business I've reviewed in 3 weeks. I'm very proud these Tucker locals really care about customers. Like some of the others who posted a review, I wanted to keep my business local. I'm a big believer in supporting local businesses, so when the cleaners nearest my house that I had used for several years closed, I went into town and started using these folks. I had previously used them once years before when my daughter's prom dress needed some fast attention. My usual drycleaner recommended them since Main Street could do same day work and they couldn't. They did a fine job. However, since making Main Street my primary dry cleaner, I have had repeated issues with the everyday stuff - stains I point out not being addressed, shirts coming back with missing buttons, that sort of thing. The kind of stuff I don't want to have to worry about when I pay good money at a cleaners. When I took in my favorite sweatshirt a couple weeks ago with a stain of unknown origin on the shoulder, emphasizing its favorite status, I was terribly disappointed to have it returned to me with the same stain. I was told that it was "just laundered" and should have come out but there is nothing else he could do. Owner was just not interested in any extra effort. I paid something like $4.65 and no offer was made to credit the cost. I took it home and decided to try my own hand at the stain. Using some Resolve stain remover and washing it twice took care of it. So that is the last time I'm taking anything here. To be fair, I have never had any issue with attitude here. I was a first time customer and this will be my last time using them to dry clean my clothing. I brought 10 pieces to be cleaned and when I got them back all my whites were discolored and stained, my blacks had large amounts of lent on them, and things were missing off my clothing... so they said they would redo them.. today went to get them and there are more stains and all he say is "we can't get it them out" did not give me a refund nor apologized. I would of understood if I brought the clothes up there with the stains already there but they while cleaning them put the stains and was not going to inform me about the stains they were only addressed when I brought it up NEVER AGAIN read more

I have been going to Main Street Cleaners in Tucker for about a year. Last week I dropped off a brad new pair of white slacks there to have them starched. They came back with black and brown stains in 4 different places. They have NEVER been worn. and cost well over $100.00. The owner was defensive about the horrible Job. Then he got rude and offended when I inspected the other clothes that were under the same order. Luckily I did, I also had two shirts and another pair of slacks also starched. All 4 pieces of the clothing totaled over $600.00. One of the shirts I dropped off was also brand new and never worn. In fact I took the price tag off when I dropped the clothes off. It's sleeves area that meet the cuff on this shirt had been folded over on itself in several areas and starched. It now has a few creases where it shouldn't. The owner ironed the sleeves out, AFTER I pointed the mistakes out to him. The other slacks have pleats in the front. They are also wrinkled and not in straight lines. No, I am not exaggerating. The bad thing also is is that quality control was not done and I was going to be sent home with all of this mess. No, we are NOT going back there again, stay way! Ultimately, the ass hole owner did redo the pants and they came out clean. However, the attitude and obvious lack of quality control are both enough to keep me and my husband away! I put too much money in our clothes to all them to be treated like shit. I will be driving them to June's in midtown where they hand wash and iron your clothes individually and treat them with the utmost care. We'll pay more but it will be worth it. I would not have given this joint one star but the site MAKES you give at least one star. read more

Long time customer. Recently I discovered a missing shirt, which was a very nice Polo dress shirt. After discussing with an employee at the cleaners it became apparent that the order was placed under a name similar to mine, but not my name. Maybe this other guy got my shirt. I don't know but the utter lack of concern by the business owner just really turned me off. An apology would have been sufficient. I did not expect free service or anything like that, just show me a little concern. With that I would have continued the relationship, but too many comments about this guy being a real hothead have come to my attention. When I returned to get the items they were not done and the only reasoning I got was that they were placed in the wrong bin. The employee was completely rude and unapologetic and offered no solution. To answer the comment on 12/7/14. I was in the establishment that morning, and yes, I have been coming to this cleaners for a long time. Yes sir, I continued my transaction for my dry cleaning. Although some of the statements made were truly false from you in this print, and this is according to a police report on record, where you called the police, not the owner. The reference made about ferguson, came from you and the threats came from you. All this from a credit card he could not take at that time of the morning. You were the first customer, I was inside waiting as the second customer. This owner has been nothing but helpful and an honest business man since I have been coming here. Truly, there was no other persons in the shop that morning but you, me and him. You were at the drive through with your shirt over the disappointment on not taking the credit card, but you then pulled to the front door, came in and started your tirad on the owner over your anger issues about the one shirt. As a matter of fact, my comment to you was, "it is not that serious," after you made the Ferguson comment. Not all business would have held such high customer services standards as was displayed that morning when we were standing, all three of us, in that lobby area from the punishment he was taking from you. No verbal threats, no insults, no racial bias came from the owner. In the future, please make sure to print your facts correctly and truthfully for all to read. To the owner, continue to provide excellent customer service to your customers as you have shown to me over the years. Your quality of work is outstanding as well!! I want to start off by saying that, I am the type of person that wishes well for everyone even if they don't mean well for me or my well being. That's between them and God. I dropped a king size Ralph Lauren comforter off on a Monday at this dry cleaners location. The gentlemen standing at the counter told me that it would be ready that Thursday. I returned to pick up the comforter on that Friday to ensure that it would be available because I understand how things can some times take place. When I returned Friday, the gentlemen told me that he couldn't find it but he knew it was around there. I showed no emotion and told him that I would just return tomorrow and allow him to get more situated. Again, I understand how things go. When I returned he brought up the comforter and said that because of some manufacturer defects it did not come out right. I listened to his explanation on why this happened. I took it into great consideration and left with the product. He did not charge me for the unsuccessful service. After I pondered on the situation and spoke with the manufacturer they explained the care of the product and why it may have turned out that way. (The people who made the comforter!) well when I returned to speak with the gentlemen the following week, he was very annoyed and I could see it immediately. He didn't want to talk about the subject, in fact he got very rude. I tried to keep the situation neutral and explained to him that we could talk about it without frustration. He told me that it was his store and he talk how he wanted! I remained calm and headed out to seek other options. I just think the business owner which I believe was this gentlemen could have did a better job acknowledging a problem with his customer. There was also no need for anyone to get disrespectful.
