This place was pretty cool. It looks small from the existing photos but the space protrudes far into the back of the building and there is plenty of seating. We got a booth near the front with the windows open, the service was quick, and the food was delicious. Definitely recommend if you're in the area!

I can only speak for the cheeseburger and honestly, not that great, and pretty happy I only paid $10 for the burger.

Fun times at Woody's! The bar, the danceflo', the comfy booths (well, I never sat in them, since I…read morewas always getting my groove on, but they appeared comfy!) Some nights, they pump 90's hip hop, which completes my life. They have a super fantastic photographer, all the photos after Woody's nights get posted on their Facebook page. There are pool tables for those who want a break from dancing, and tables around the perimeter if you want to set your drink down and chat loudly. But really, hit the dance floor, I say! Have a great time, but be aware that all of Byron has these new rules now, where bars cannot serve shots, pitchers, or certain drinks anymore... I know, but that's the way it is! Just have some cider, or their beer, and enjoy yourself!

They have a pool table and different beers along with cool art/pics on the walls. The night we were there the DJ was spinning some good music and it wasn't that full so we were able to share a couch with another group of people who we ended up being quick friends with. Unfortunately, this was also the night of the day the earthquake in Chirstchurch, NZ happened, so that kind of put a damper in the night since we were headed there after Byron. Either way, if I'm ever in Byron again, this will definitely be at the top of my "places to go" list. The vibe is just what you'd expect from a beach city.

This was a great find and I'm so glad we made the little journey off the main BB drag to get there…read more The space itself is very impressive - when you walk in, its all big chrome casks where they brew their beers. Loads of space and tables to sit at, with a big bar area towards the back. Selection of beers was decent - 6 or 7 of their staples, a few pales, couple of IPA's, couple of lagers etc. I went for a paddle of 4, the red was ok, the dark lager was surprisingly good and the two IPA's (especially the Lively) were lush. The 3 of us (including our 9 month old lad) went for burgers - which is the only food option, apart from sides etc. Thankfully, the lack of choice wasn't an issue as the burgers were DEE LISH US. I had the Ozzie Osborne (+ extra egg on Jean Francois' advice - more on him later), Em had the Jimmy Hen Chicks (clever) with the dude having a mini grilled chicken burger. They were perfectly made burgers - beautifully cooked, with soft, brioch-y buns and lovely toppings. The beetroot relish on mine was an absolute standout, and the egg addition was inspired! The chips were great too - topped with sour cream, bacon and spring onions. Accompanied by some locally made chilli sauce, the whole eating experience was superb. Now the service. Our experience so far in Oz has been one of genuinely friendly service. But this place was next level, mainly down to Jean Francois who is a genuinely lovely bloke. He was so kind to Asa (our son), talked us through where the baby change etc was and talked me through the beers, and we had a great chat about him, his Christmas trip to the Devon and his kids. He really did make the trip here unforgettable, and left a great impression. Overall a great place to visit with some lovely beers, food and friendly staff!

Initially, we came for the beer but the draw here is really the music and food. This is also a popular place for live music! An outdoor stage features live bands frequently. When the stage is empty, they play an eclectic mix of fine tunes on their great stereo system. Third, and most impressive, BBB is a destination for casual satisfying food! Highly recommend the bowls, especially enjoy the Asian and burrito bowls. They're in the midsts of a rebranding, which is probably a good move because overall the place feels tired. Indoor and outside seating.

The tour is great value. $35pp which covered 1 1/2 hours of beer history, ingredient knowledge, a walk through the brewery and plenty of taste testers. I honestly can't believe how generous the drinks were. Starting with a cheeky 10am schooner to break the ice, followed by 2 middies and ending with 1/2 a paddle. Safe to say I was feeling very relaxed and before we knew it it was 2pm! The brewery has a great atmosphere in general and our guide for the day Mike was awesome. Very chilled which maybe is how he looks so good. No way he is 40!! We came back the next day to pick up some beers to enjoy poolside at our B&B (sneaking in a garden ale and refreshing seltzer before we left). The seltzer is also gluten free, vegan and low sugar. Returning a third time to get some gifts to bring home for family. I would highly recommend a visit when in Byron Bay. The ethos of this business is something we can all strive for. A place that embraces its community and in turn the community has embraced it.

I guess the reason being is that I made the trek out here, upon discovering that the brewery was in Byron Bay, only to learn that they don't have a license to actually serve beer. Well, sort of, because they can serve tasting pallets, but that is basically it. This was a real shame actually, though now that I come to think of it, I probably should have just had a pallet.
