Have a great time, but be aware that all of Byron has these new rules now, where bars cannot serve shots, pitchers, or certain drinks anymore... I know, but that's the way it is! Not overcooked to my medium request but tough and not all that flavoursome. That's when I stumbled upon the Railway Friendly Bar. When I went to the bar, to my surprise, I noticed a Guinness logo on a couple of the glasses in the mini fridge. Boy was I excited. Naturally I asked for a pint of Guinness, now when you ask for a Guinness at some random hipster pub in Australia obviously I'm not expecting much. But this was atrocious. The moment the bar tender started the poor, I knew my tastebuds where doomed. This is by far the worst pint of Guinness I've ever had in my life, and I wouldn't wish it upon my worst of enemies. We came back the next day to pick up some beers to enjoy poolside at our B&B (sneaking in a garden ale and refreshing seltzer before we left). The seltzer is also gluten free, vegan and low sugar. Returning a third time to get some gifts to bring home for family. I would highly recommend a visit when in Byron Bay. The ethos of this business is something we can all strive for. A place that embraces its community and in turn the community has embraced it.
