This little shop is adorable, with so much to see. The staff were super helpful, letting me try on a bunch of hats until I found the one that was just right. I ended up with a handmade hat from Ireland, and it was so comfy, I wore it the whole weekend--whether I was drinking or not! At $75 for that kind of craftsmanship, it was a total steal! I'll definitely be back next year for another one. If you're ever in Weston, make sure to check it out!

So we looked online for some items. Amazon.com had a huge bunch of cheap Indonesian knock-offs for sale and they all looked low quality. Eventually, we perfected our search and up popped Celtic Ranch. Ordering the correct size is difficult, and the cheap apparel from southeast Asia, is made for people who are quite a bit smaller height-wise. So I ordered some items and quickly determined what size worked for me, so I sent some items back for the correct size. One item I ordered off Amazon and it was a bit convoluted to do a return, but dealing directly with Celtic Ranch was a dream. I was able to get an RMA and within days the correct sizes were shipped! All of the items, from the vests to the scarf, to the hat and grandfather shirts are high quality and are durable. Not only do I want to order more items for me and my lass, but if we're ever in the neighborhood we want to pop in to the store and say hello! Great job, Celtic Ranch. You do the Irish proud!

We had been going to another nearby orchard for apple picking, but the shine wore off that and Weston Red Barn Farm is our new pick. It's a great little escape from Kansas City that's under an hour drive from downtown itself. They have: -Tons of pumpkins -A maze -Goats, chickens, horses, pigs, and other animals -Cider slushies, candies, and fall goodies While we most recently visited on a Monday (kids were off school), the weekends are where it's at here. They have more food options, pony rides, and other fun stuff for the kids. It's understandably quieter during the week. Oh and let's not forget the overall setting: bucolic, relaxing, and pretty beautiful for Missouri countryside is I may say so myself. I totally see why people get married here.

I have to give a lower rating this year because they don't have much on their website as far as Covid guidelines. I reached out to see if they'd allow visitors to walk to the pumpkin patch to avoid the crowded wagon and they said no. I also asked if the wagons would have distance between seats and they said no. I realize outside is a little safer but I don't want to be forced onto a wagon with strangers who may not be wearing masks. This review is more for people who are wondering about their guidelines and if it's safe. They do usually have pre-picked pumpkins for sale that you don't have to ride a wagon to get to which is nice but I think I'll have to find a pumpkin patch that has some actual guidelines for Covid this year.

It's obvious from the second you walk in that she takes great care curating the items she sells. The way the items are arranged makes it fun to browse, and she never pressures you. Often there are only one or two of something, so what you see changes every time you visit and there is always something new to tempt you. Chris has exquisite taste, and she is clearly committed to choosing high-quality products that often are locally made. She knows about the owners and artists, which really adds to the shopping experience. I've brought someone with me each time I've visited. It's a pleasure to introduce people to this charming store. We take our time and always walk out giddy. I can't say enough about enchanting Nesting Goods! Let's all support small businesses, especially in a town like St. Joseph, where so many people are trying hard to create a destination!

Fetch is full of fun finds, KC merch, locally sourced product displays, and so much more. The back room is loaded up with some excellent thrift finds, even though the price point is reflective of the unique pieces moreso than just turning over resold 'stuff'. Throw in some cool home accents (I was so close to nabbing the martini olive throw rug) and some other kitschy gems and you have a great spot. Parking is west side street stuff, so you're on your own. The staff is super friendly and always making suggestions, and their playlists are phenomenal. Pricing is on par with the area and like shops, but give yourself a little treat now and then. But give that south wall a gaze, because their sandwich sign social voice is seriously top shelf. I don't care what side of the fence you land on, Fetch focuses their messages on kindness & humanity. Give me more, soooooo much more. And Gretchen was spot on, because it's so Fetch.
