I requested a gift card for Christmas for main line as my favorite spa in the world stopped massages due to Covid-19. They encouraged scheduling online, but the person i spoke with when I called was extremely helpful and friendly and I got the time and day of the week that was most convenient for me. They were very communicative in sending reminders of my appointment via text and emails. They are located in a residential area and the business you can tell was once a home, turned massage haven! I absolutely love that part, it's very charming as you approach outside it has a cute branch archway and a decorative bench. There is plenty street parking. The space is very open, bright and clean, which matters. The rooms where the massages are held are very spacious with sprinkles of serene things throughout. There was a very beautiful affirmation about walking and enjoying the moments In the bathroom that I had to take a picture of to share with others. The space overall is inviting. The Massage: I got a 90 minute relaxation massage with hot stones!!!! It was amazing!!! Serena was my massage therapist and she was friendly and courteous, asking if I had any trouble areas and addressing them very efficiently. I hadn't had a good massage since before covid so my body needed it and as she worked on my back and arms I felt my mind going from thing to thing to eventually feeling loopy and forgetting where I was lol That was a good thing for me. Lol I will be back!!! If you are considering it. Don't hesitate, make your appointment. So grateful I found my new spa!!! I walked out lighter and in a better spirit. The prices are reasonable in comparison to other spas, its not a $50 massage, but you get what you pay for and I'm over $50 massages, walking away sore or feeling weird because the place seemed shady. You won't get this here! You get quality and a safe space. Make your appointment. read more

Not professional at all when dealing with emergency situations like being sick and could not cancel and they charge you anyway I called their office to let them know and they said I did not. I also sent an emai. read more

I have tried several of the therapists and they were all professional, courteous and most importantly, very talented at massage.

My partner and I bought a gift certificate for my partner's mom for her birthday. She came back from the massage saying it was the best she's ever had, and that she'll be going back monthly. Can't get much better than that! read more

I've had massages with three of the massage therapists--Heather, Sally, and Laura. Each had their own style, and they were all superb. In addition, I like the ambiance and the scents of the oils they used. Can't wait for my next visit! read more

Kendra was excellent. Firm and comforting, very effective. David was okay. I didn't get anything more than my partner does at home. Not sure it was worth the price tag. read more

Treated myself to a 60 min relaxation massage and added on a scalp massage as a birthday treat. Sally was my masseuse and the experience was unreal. Incredibly calming, therapeutic, and left in a blissed out state. Can't wait to return! Also, the space is warm, cozy, and inviting. read more

Still an awesome place! I have been getting deep tissue work by Serena recently and she's very thorough in breaking up soreness. I have mildly arthritic shoulders and I barely notice them for the weeks following my appointment here. Well worth the $100 per hour rate. Best masseuse in the area for sure! read more

I had an awesome experience at Main Line Therapeutic Massage. Everyone was extremely welcoming and Kendra did an amazing job with my deep tissue massage. I will definitely be back! read more

Very please with my massage with Alyssa and will be retuning. It was so easy to schedule an appointment as well. Thank you for being convenient and providing such a great service as well as following COVID protocols. read more

Horrible space. Wish I didn't have to put any stars. I could have used my wasted time on something better and with a better aura . The vibes I got from my MT was awkward and uninviting that I could not remember her name. I believe she was from Asian descent and spoke very little to me. All in all, it was an awkward experience and low vibrational. RUN! read more

Went for a facial to treat enflamed acne. I purposely went to a higher end (so i thought) place vs groupon because skin is important to me. Had 2 consultations both on fb messenger & in person & was told micro & high frequency (most expensive) were the way to go. Esthetician told me to "get ready" to handle the "painful" extractions. Left with more dark spots, sore inner lip from pressure of 30 min of extractions & woke up the next day with much much more breakout. After researching micro should not have been done & they should have referred me to dr. Instead of telling me my skin was clogged & this would really help my breakout. After reaching out to owner their only solution were products that can be bought at drug store with harsh ingredients or coming in for them to work on me again. 1) who has time to go back in 2) i don't use drug store brands.. i told the esthetician my breakout was from trying my first drug store brand dermasil & i only use pro products 3) the owner accused me of my pictures being fake (wth!) I had to dispute the facial charges . Though the image to the right looks like the before it is sadly my after. I had no breakout on my chin before going in btw. read more

The BEST massage I have ever had!!! i will be returning. Thank you Theresa Olivieri read more

Very good, personal service at Main Line Therapeutic and a beautiful story of a woman-owned, intergenerational business!

This is my favorite massage place. Kendra did a great job! I feel very relaxed after a full body massage. They don't have parking lot, just park in front of their building along with street. The massage room is pretty big and has sofa chairs. I was there beginning of May and the room feels a little bit chilly. read more

I hadn't had a massage locally since the pandemic. I used to go to Millennium a few times a year, but since that closed I wasn't sure where to go. My son did some research and surprised me with a gift certificate for a one-hour massage at Main Line Therapeutic and it was the best massage I've ever had. Not a fancy place like Millennium, but very warm and homey. Angela was terrific! The high ratings are well-earned. read more

My mom had never had a massage before but was having a bit of back pain lately so I scheduled a 30 minute relaxation massage for her. She was very nervous going into it, just wasn't sure if she would enjoy it, but she was made comfortable and the staff was very accommodating to her underlying health conditions and her nerves. She is already talking about when she'll go back and for a long session! read more

I have a new favorite place to go. Amazing! I came here and had a relaxing massage at a place that is easy to get to. They follow all safety precautions for COVID. I got to the appointment on time and the whole experience was just what I was looking for. Efficient. Clean. Relaxing. A real winner! read more

Absolutely excellent massage. Can't say enough good things about the entire team here. Not a bad massage therapist among them. I certainly have my favorite but each person may respond to different techniques differently so i say roll the dice and you will find the one that's right for you. I say this as someone who has a lot of experience with massage. Having experienced treatments in many establishments, from Thai massage in Chiang Mai to holistic treatment, reiki, Japanese, Hawaiian, sports, deep tissue, medical and more all over the Philadelphia area this is one of my top places to go. I'd love to visit weekly if i could but every couple is all that time permits me...and boy do i look forward to my bi-weekly visit! Do yourself and your body a favor and try it out. read more

Had an excellent experience at Main Line Massage! I had a terrible upper back and neck pain which therapist Alyssa was able to get worked out. I look forward to returning for another massage soon! read more

I received a 60 minute combination massage yesterday from Alyssa. This was my first time going to MT. I received a gift certificate for Father's Day. The place is very nice and quiet as a massage studio should be. Alyssa was at the front to greet me when I arrived. She asked about my trouble zones and went to work. I ended up telling her she has the best hands I ever experienced in professional massages. Soft and strong but not overpowering. She gave the right amount of pressure. I wish I did 90 minutes. I know for next time. No real complaints. I should have asked her to spend more time on my lower back and feet. I didn't realize how sore they were until she got started. It was also weird trying to relax with a mask on in the prone position. No fault of theirs. Just the circumstances. I'd definitely recommend. read more

Alyssa was my masseuse for my recent massage at Main Line Therapeutic. She asked good questions before starting so she would know the level of deep tissue to use, and the muscles where I experience tightness. The message was certainly therapeutic. I have been to MLT regularly. Sometimes I wonder just before my appointment, do I really need a message? When the massage is over I realize how effective it was. MLT has been at this location for a long time, and it has always been a great resource for a relaxing, tightness-undoing massage. read more

I purchased a gift card for my mom - the review below is from her. She was obsessed with her service and massage therapist! She suffers from arthritis and Sally was not only kind but knew the right amount of pressure. Thanks to a gift from my daughter, I had a full body massage at Main Line Therapeutic on Darby Rd. in Havertown. It was awesome. Sally knew just when and how to apply pressure and I left there feeling great. Do yourself and body a favor, schedule an appointment. I promise you'll love the result. read more

I received a recommendation for Main Line Therapeutic (MLT) about a year ago. I'm so grateful for that recommendation. I'm very active and have been during my high school and collegiate years. Consequently, I incorporate massages as a necessary part of my "recovery routine." I absolutely love MLT. To date, I've seen four therapists, all of which are great. The two I see most often are Talia Jo and Alyssa. Each have a different approach but are still EXTREMELY effective at getting out all my kinks, knots, and problem areas...while simultaneously, allowing space for a relaxing experience. I get custom combination massages which help strike a balance between therapeutic and relaxing massages. I would highly recommend MLT. read more

My children gave me a gift card for Mother's Day. I chose the sport/ deep tissue with add in cranial massage with a hydrating eye mask. Kendra was awesome from start to finish! Fantastic massage and lots of different options! I went here while pregnant for a pre-natal massage and then after giving birth for an ashiatsu massage. There aren't many places around that do either of those types of massage. The building is beautiful and relaxing and the staff are so kind. read more

I went to main line therapeutic for the first time and had a great experience. The staff was very friendly when I set up my appointment and when I arrived I was very impressed by all of their covid precautions. I felt very comfortable! On a Friday afternoon after a busy week of work I was looking forward to my first visit to Main Line Therapeutic Massage and Spa. Arriving at the door, I was welcomed by Alyssa, who would be my massage therapist. After filling in some forms, I was brought to the room for my massage. I have to say it was a wonderful experience, just what I needed that day. Alyssa focused on my areas of stress and tension and answered any questions I had as she worked on me. After the hour was up, I felt light, relaxed and relieved of the tension I had been feeling in my shoulders and back. I look forward to going again! Thank you for a soothing and tranquil experience. read more

I've had a few massages and reiki sessions at this very tranquil space - Main Line Therapeutic. I can't imagine going anywhere else. The space is a house, with stained glass windows and vintage furniture, rugs and ethereal artwork. The vibe is earthy. Each massage therapist that has worked with me has provided a wonderful service. I especially want to acknowledge and thank Josselyn for sharing her breathing technique during the massage with hot stones, which helped my muscles relax even more. I highly recommend the staff and services here. read more

Just got a 90 minute custom combo massage + cranial/sacral by Jossy. AMAZING! First time there and would definitely recommend. Jossy knew exactly how much pressure was needed and was able to loosen muscles I didn't even know were tense. Exactly what I needed after a busy work week! read more

Best massage I've ever received! Calming beautiful atmosphere. Peaceful tranquil experience.

I received an excellent mini facial yesterday from Lisa. My face is so smooth and I have a glowy complexion now! Lisa took the time to discuss my particular skin type and issues with me, and customized the facial to fit my specific needs. She wrote down her recommendations for me and gave me some tips for the future. I highly recommend Lisa and will definitely be booking all my my future facials with her. Thank you Lisa!! read more

OMG. i have been looking for a decent place to get a massage for awhile now... had memberships at massage envy & hand/stone ... but no one compares to serena! this is absolutely my go to place! She was so professional & asked what was hurting the most but she was also able to recognize the other areas that needed work that i didn't even realize were hurting. Will definitely be back! read more

I had the extreme pleasure of obtaining an hour long massage yesterday at Main Line therapeutic massage yesterday with Serena. Serena was awesome. She was great with concentrating on the areas that are particularly tight for me while also performing the combo relaxation massage. I am always apprehensive when I am I getting a massage from a new person but without hesitation I definitely recommend Main line always and definitely Serena. I cannot believe how relaxed and loosened up my shoulders and neck were all day. I will definitely be back again. Thanks for starting my day off in a totally relaxed and calm mood. read more

SUPER. This is my go to for a massage. Great atmosphere, clean, relaxing and soothing. Serena asks about any issues you might have so to be sure to address that area. Been going here for a few years and cannot see myself going anywhere else. read more

Trust me when I say this, I have had a LOT of massages in many different places: private businesses, big name spas, start up businesses, hotel gyms, you name it. This is one of the BEST places I've ever been to. My masseuse was an older lady who broke my fear of deep tissue massages and introduced me to hot stones (now I can never go back to no hot stones). She went beyond the normal massage and even gave me a head and face massage. She got out my knots and worked out all my sore spots. One of the biggest gripes I have about 1 hour massages is that the actual massage is about 50 minutes while they drag out the first 10 minutes by waiting for you to get changed. I'm done with those cheap groupon massages. Here, she gave me the full hour plus another 10 minutes. I tipped her 30%. I will be back for sure. read more

I won't be back...Judge for yourself... My husband gets me giftcards here on occasion for massages. I used to enjoy the massages when another therapist was there. However, when my husband went to get me a gift in July, Michelle told him, if I didn't use the card he got me in Febuary in the near future the value would be reduced...In less than 6 months? Anyhow, I decided to use the card last week (Aug '14 ). I made an appt for 3:30 p.m. on Sat. My fault, I lost track of time and missed the appt! I called immediately at 4:30 p.m. to apologize and ask if I could reschedule. I did notice that there was no message inquiring about my lateness or a reminder the day before. I live 5 mins away. Again my bad. Michelle returned my call to say I could reschedule but unfortunately my gift cards would be void! A more customer centric response could have been... 1) a warning that the gift card would be void if I missed again. Especially since this is 1st incident and she did not attempt to alert me. I could have been there in a quick second. Or 2) a reduction in the value of the cards. Or 3) reschedule me at her convenience during a slow period. Had I been given one of these 3 options I would have been back even though at best it's was a 3 star service. In the future my money will be spent with more customer centric businesses. read more

They did a really good job on my back best message I ever had. The staff is really nice and they treat you well.

Michelle actually saw me on Christmas eve, she somehow sensed I was struggling, tired and really needing some TLC and she really gave it to me. I had a wonderful organic massage and hands down, Michelle gave me the best hot stone experience I have ever had... it was magic. She also gave me a wonderful facial. When I asked her about the products she used she did not see that as an opportunity to try to sell products to me like many spas but pointed me to products that can do what I liked online. Michelle also does Hypnotherapy that I had not had the opportunity to try but I would really like to next time. She has a calm, compassionate and gentle presense that I really enjoyed. read more

I made an appointment for a 30 min deep tissue and a 15 minute cranial sacrum massage because I was having headaches and episodes of mild vertigo. I haven't been here in some time for a massage, because I continued to received gift cards for a competitor. The house is very warm and inviting, and relaxes you prior to your treatment. I was met by my masseuse, Roxanne, taken back to one of the bedrooms on the first floor. She asked me specifically what was bothering me, and worked on these areas for the next 45 mins. I became relaxed so quickly that I fell asleep during my massage, and felt great when she woke me up. I always liked the personal touch you get at this facility, and I look forward to returning soon. read more
