Few working machines.
Michael G.

Long trip so needed to wash clothing. No signage out front so address is essential. Place is not well kept and most machines are not operable and those that are, are not taken cared of. This is the only choice in town. If washing dog stuff (which I did see), it will do. If you can wait, then do that. The bill changer was accurate, but not that putting quarters in the machine takes some force. Try to use the smaller machines, they are smaller but are newer than the larger ones.

This place is gross!! Smells terrible in the building like mildew. Machines are so incredibly old and make screeching noises when running. Dryer took $1.50 of mine and metal piece sticking out of dryer blade ripped my shirt. No manager or owner around no phone number to reach them and Neighboring businesses want nothing to do with this place! I would have rather worn dirty clothes then have washed my stuff here. $6.00 to wash a medium load and .25 for 5 mins of luke warm air. Ridiculous!

Disgusting. Most machines are broken and will take hour money. $7 or $5 for a wash in these broken machines is a rip off. Don't go

The owners of this place ought to be ashamed. Half the washing machines were out of order, and the other half were disgusting.

Hung me out to dry. I dropped off all of my wedding…read moreperformance clothing (for 805 String Quartet) for an important weekend wedding. Was told they could be picked after the end of the day on Wednesday. When I returned on Friday morning, the place was locked up with only a small flyer on the door saying "closed for a wedding shower." I was in a panic, with a performance the next day and nothing to wear. I frantically tried calling them and left an urgent message which was never returned. I ended up having to drive an hour to Macy's in Santa Maria to purchase new clothing at a cost of $100. After I related my experience to the person at the counter upon their return, I could hear the grumpy owner yelling from the back: "I'm not doing anything about it." They didn't even offer an apology, let alone any financial adjustment. This was not the first negative experience here. A few weeks earlier, I attempted to pick up my cleaning, but nobody was up front for some time. An employee working in the back could definitely see me, but didn't bother to even acknowledge my presence. On another occasion, when I attempted to pay with a credit card, the transaction wouldn't process. I was told that their dial-up connection often fails--presumably because the owner is too cheap to pay for actual internet access at their business. The front counter staff are generally nice enough, but their cleaning prices are average at best, and the counter area itself is pretty dumpy. I guess being the only game in town means you don't have to try very hard. As a life-long small business owner myself, it seems like Village Dry Cleaners could make the effort to try a little harder. This is purely my experience; YMMV.
