I have been going to Plaza Cleaners in Atascadero since we moved here in 2009. There have been a couple of hiccups, but generally the service has been great. They now have a notice taped to the their counter that warns of a surcharge if you use a CREDIT card. So I used a DEBIT card and they still added $3 to my bill. When I pointed out their sign only mentions credit cards, said "a debit card still runs like a credit card". When I suggested they should update their notice they shrugged and said "we didn't put it there" and "it's not us, it's the company". Too bad, whoever the "company" is, I will now be taking my dry cleaning, alterations, etc. somewhere else. read more

I don't recommend this place I gave them a second chance because they lost one of my shirts and I just picked up five shirts and they're all wrinkled having a lot of issues with this place. Don't recommend them at all. Pay for the shirts to be wrinkled. This is what I pay for. Looks like they just took it out of the washer and hang it on the hanger. read more

These little places don't get enough credit for the big washers and machinery it takes to wash items like our comforters. Plus the staff is so friendly! They did a quick, efficient job on my item. Thanks guys! Highly recommended! read more

I bought some new pants two pairs actually that needed to be Shortened and hemmed at the bottom. . I called Plaza cleaners to confirm their hours, then stop by to drop my stuff off. They promised me one week and that's what it was. I got a call when they were ready and When I picked them up they looked great and they actually pressed them for me as well. Disappointed to say the least. I've been bringing my uniforms here for awhile now and the past handful of times my lines for military press have been all over the place. This particular uniform I had been washing and pressing myself and decided to drop it off here to get a stain out that I couldn't and this is what happens. My original pressed lines are ruined and the rest of the shirt is wrinkled as if it wasn't even ironed out before pressing in the lines. Please pay attention when caring for uniforms like these, it's going to be difficult to correct these mistakes and press them out back to the way I had them. I guess this is why I wash my own. Lesson learned. read more

Dropped off a comforter on December 22nd, 2022, because of the holidays and then tax season,... I made a check to see if the comfort was finished mid January early February and they said that it wasn't there and that they would check at their other stores. One being in Paso Robles and the other one in San Luis Obispo. However, it's been an ongoing process of trying to track down this comforter and I've been getting several different stories from different personnel working for the dry cleaners. Allegedly, the owner of this business was supposed to call me on several different occasions and for some reason there was never a follow-through., As of this date, May 31st 2023 this issue is still unresolved only after stating that I feel I've been more than patient regarding this matter that I mentioned the fact that this company leaves me no choice but to seek legal remedies to resolve this matter. Dropped off 8 shirts. 2 weeks later they were all done and 1 was missing. They said it was at their other store. Went to the other location, they didn't have it either. They gave me the run around for over a month, promising that they had it or that the owner would call me. It never showed up, so they asked for receipts to reimburse me. She told me they were going to send me a check. I ordered a replacement shirt. 3 weeks later, still no check or the promised phone call from the owner. I went back in (5th time) to ask for the check in person, and they gave me the original shirt. No remorse, and wouldn't give me a refund on the cleaning! Too late to return the replacement, so now I'm stuck money out and two of the same shirts. Will NEVER return. read more

Hit and miss cleaners. I have had good results from Plaza. But...if you have a stain don't count on them to make the effort to get it out. I had a stain on a sweater and pointed it out to them. They marked where the stain was and when I picked it up the stain was still there. I sent it back to them. It came back with the stain. So...I brought it home and put some OxiClean spray on it, let it soak for a few hours, put in in a laundry bag and washed it on gentle. We brought our old, yellowed and bug-juiced RV blinds to them and employee Jasmine was lovely and concerned. She told us the owner Mark would personally review, to see if they could handle them. Mark called us a few times to review the process, was VERY accessible and accommodating. He under-promised and OVER-delivered! I have never felt so cared for! I took in a suit that I don't wear very often but had years of accumulated dust or whatever, and found Plaza to be very efficient, relatively quick, and pleasant to deal with. The suit came back looking just fine, although it wasn't much of a challenge in this case. I did notice there were quite a few police uniforms on their rack, which probably indicates that they do a good job repeatedly. I would go back there the next time I need dry cleaning. read more

I've been coming to Plaza Cleaners since I moved up to Atascadero in 2014. Their turn around is really quick, usually between two and three days. The staff are very friendly and always greet me when I come in. My clothes are always returned looking sharp. For four button up shirts and four pairs of slacks to be dry cleaned and pressed, it runs me about $40 each time. read more

Tried them for the first time as part of a Group On deal ($40 of cleaning for $20) and the turnaround time was quick and clothes were great. About the same price as most cleaners, but always good to have a second drop off point if needed. read more

My wife needed an outfit pressed on a Saturday for an event that night. I called every cleaner in SLO and south county and they all said that they don't offer that service on the weekends which I now know is the industry standard. Understandable. Our fault for not planning ahead. So I called Plaza Cleaners in Atascadero on a whim and told Carolina my situation and she said to bring it up. She would turn on her steamer ( or whatever she needed to press the garment ) and by the time I got there it would be ready. When I got there Carolina said she would have it done in a half hour. This is the best cleaners that I have ever been to - hands down. The customer service is excellent. The owner will pick up and drop off your dry cleaning personally. I had a stain that seemed impossible to get out. The owner personally took it to the shop and worked on it himself until it came off. This place is amazing! I wish I took a before picture, but my two year old daughter drew all over her brand new WHITE comforter in black sharpe. I was convinced it was ruined until I took it to Plaza Cleaners and they were able to get the whole stain out. It looks brand new! Highly recommended place!! read more
