Scheduled a move-in cleaning for our new house and I wasn't super impressed (3.5/5). I was originally going to clean the place myself, but with the previous owners having 3 high-shedding dogs and a cat it became too much. MaidPro had 2 women come clean the 1540 sq ft home and they were only there for about 4 hours. I didn't have any appliances deep cleaned but I did have all the kitchen cabinets cleaned (inside and outside). We did do a walkthrough after cleaning, but it wasn't until after they left that I found areas that weren't clean. Cob webs were still noticeable (I told them in advance that there were high ceilings), baseboards weren't cleaned, cabinets weren't wiped out, etc. Despite not wanting to be "that person", I did call back and inform them that the house wasn't fully cleaned; and they offered to send someone back to finish cleaning. I felt absolutely awful for having someone come back to finish up but I did pay a decent amount of money for this. One of the original cleaners came back and redid some areas and stated that her cleaning partner definitely didn't touch certain areas (since visible stains were still there and I watched her wipe those down). Ultimately, they were very nice in offering someone to come back and clean (free of any additional charge). There were still crumbs in the drawers and cabinets, but I wasn't going to have one cleaner do double the work especially on the 2nd cleaning trip. If that other person would've done their part in the first place, this would've been a different review. Cori is receptive and quickly responds if there is a question, request or schedule change. On the occasion of an issue I am assured that it will be taken care of and I haven't been disappointed. The first time they did a good job and the office checked on the cleaning. I was impressed. The second time, I was not so impressed. I checked behind a couch to move an extension and dust and dust bunnies. I figured ok, they missed it. I will speak to them. The third time, I was notified of the date 2 days before as they had not given me a date. I had a doctor's visit and called to re-schedule. I was informed that I would have to wait a month.... I received attitude by Cori. I cancelled the service because, I was not going to pay $200.00 for a mediocre cleaning job and then be treated poorly. At first, they play it ohh so professional, then NOT so professional. I would NEVER recomment this service. The cleaners were lovely people and It could have worked had I been treated respectfully. I typically don't write reviews, but I have to admit that I was very impressed by the service we received. This was a move-in clean and the women were spectacular. They made our move so much easier. It was one huge task that we didn't have to worry about. They did everything we asked, especially the kitchen, cleaning the refrigerator and oven as well as the cabinets and drawers and more. Absolutely horrible cleaning job!! Do not hire them if you want your house CLEAN !! We bought a house and did some work inside. I contacted Maidpro to do a DEEP move in clean which they assured me they do all the time and gave me a list of the things they will do. We had no furniture in the house and wanted only the floors, bathrooms, kitchen cabinets (inside /out) and appliances, doors and trims to be cleaned. They had 3 people come over and estimated 2.5 hrs for the job at a $375 price. The girls arrived and we're more concerned providing feedback to the office of their progress and timing themselves. I kept bringing to their attention things that were not cleaned properly which got them aggravated. After 3 hours they asked me to do the walk through as they were in a hurry because they had another house to clean. Their supervisor even noticed some of the bathrooms and parts of the kitchen were not cleaned properly ( food stains, dust, dirty floors, etc.) and said she will do it herself, but even that was just as bad. Once they left I found a lot of areas in the house that were done poorly!! I had to hire someone else to come in and help me cleane again and get it done right. My brother and I hired MaidPro after my dad passed away to put the finishing touches on his home once we finishing emptying it out. All that needed to be done was some dusting, mainly the ceiling fans and corners of the bedrooms. The kitchen counters needed a touch up, and the hood over the oven needed to be cleaned. The service came and were paid for their work, and my brother and I did one last walk through. NONE of the house was dusted, not an inch. The hood over the oven? Untouched. Corners of the bedrooms? Cobwebs. So what did the cleaners even do? We're not too sure. We're sure we paid handsomely for the service, though. And we cleaned the hood and dusted the house ourselves. I wouldn't recommend MaidPro. read more

Horrible, lazy service. Service so bad that I had to contact the owner, who proved to be no help at all. Explained that I should be happy with mediocre service and if not then we were not a good fit. Explained that they do many homes per month and sometimes things get overlooked and I needed to deal with it. Office staff was also horrible and rude. I have been using the Orland Park MaidPro since March 2015 and couldn't be happier with the level of service they provide. From the office staff to the ladies who come to my home, they are professional on every level. Communication is fantastic and I know that any time I need to make changes or add additional services all I need to do is send an email and almost immediately I get a reply back- they are very accommodating. The ladies that clean my home are polite and respectful and leave a detailed note so that I know everything that they have done. They even leave cute little notes from time to time- for example, when it was daughter's birthday they wrote her a happy birthday message on her art easel. It was such a kind gesture. I have hired Maidpro to clean my new house that we were about to move into. The bathrooms were all brand new and no furniture. All I asked for is a thoroughly cleaned kitchen : appliances, cabinets and floors (refrigerators were cleaned by me). They left smears all over my wooden floors, did not clean the cabinets or the appliances. When I took out the garbage bin whole bunch of garbage from behind fell out. I called maidpro because of the reviews, and now i'm thinking that these reviews are fake...especially with the wording. We have had maid service in the past and thought we would try another company closer to our new home, First mistake. With the other maid service (which was excellent) we would leave the house so the girls could do what needed to be down without us in the way. That was our Second mistake....we should have followed them around the house and made sure they did their job. We had two specific areas of the house we wanted cleaned and a light dusting was done in one room and the other room wasn't even touched. I finished up the dishes while the girls were bringing in their equipment so I knew that the counters needed to be cleaned and the table wiped down. The counters and table were not even touched! The bedroom fans were not touched, under the bed (there is nothing under my bed to restrict them from cleaning) was not touched, the floors in the dining room were not mopped, the basement was not touched and the laundry room/mudroom was only lightly swept. The third mistake was tipping each girl $20 before we left. The customer service at the call center is excellent. They are very friendly and very helpful. But thats not the reason we called them. Its wonderful to pay $300 for a cleaning and then you have to RE-CLEAN when you get home. read more

Btw, they had previously ruined 3 toilet seats with the bleach their cleaner left on for awhile until she went to clean the toilets! Who leaves bleach on a surface? Walk in Lockstep with the office manager and franchise owner or else We were customers of Maid Pro in Orland for 2 1/2 years. Before we signed up with them, we visited their office and explained that we would like the same team of cleaners. I believe that is more efficient for the cleanings and my husband and I didn't want a stream of strangers in our home. We were told by that there would not be a problem. We started out bi-weekly for a couple of months and we realized we didn't need the service that often - so we changed to every 3 weeks. I believe that was the beginning of the end. We were told about all the negatives of changing to 3 weeks and I don't believe the office manager liked that. She would call and try to change up the schedule, ask if a third person could clean the house, etc. We do not have a big house - we don't need 3 people - that is just more money for Maid Pro and less out of our pockets. My husband contacted the franchise owner and said explained that we wanted what we were promised. Pretty sure that was the time that we were put on the target list. We never reported damages done in our home to Maid-Pro. We handled it internally. One of the cleaners damaged a stereo speaker, it hit the wall, my husband had to repair and paint the wall. The cleaner did not even bring it to our attention. Another time while they were cleaning the first floor, I walked into the master bedroom and the carpet was wet. I went downstairs and asked 'did someone spill something'. I was told "oh, yeah, I spilled my bottle of water". She didn't try to soak up the water, etc. There were other things that happened and we had a sit down with the cleaners and said 'just tell us if something breaks'. We also noticed that because we are laid back people, the cleanings were not as good. Again, we spoke to them about it and not THE Office. I personally think for 1 hour and 45 minutes every 3 weeks, they prices are a bit expensive. Plus, we also tipped well. My husband and I for the last 6 months have discussed changing Maid services. Last Friday, the decision was made for us. One of regulars was absent and they sent over a woman who apparently did not want to be here. I had walked into the master bedroom and noticed that the dressers and night stands had not been dusted. I mentioned this to our regular cleaner and she asked the other to clean them. This was the beginning of the end. She copped an attitude and came into the room where my husband and I were just chatting and said "I didn't know I was suppose to dust the bedroom and I don't know the routine or this house, and that is what you get". I looked at my husband and said 'yikes'. Then a discussion ensued between the cleaners and I wanted to ask this 'new person' to just leave. She was stomping around and was very upset. She ended up leaving on her own, did not say hi, bye and stupidly I was going to give her a small tip. She went out to her car, was on her phone, came back in- looked inside and slammed our glass door. She is really lucky it didn't break because Maid-Pro would be paying for this. I put the tip money back in my pocket at that point. She didn't help carry out the vacuum, cleaning supplies, nothing. Here's the good part - my husband called the franchise owner and got voice mail. Phil called back and I honestly don't know what was said to him previous to this phone call. My husband explained what went on. At that time, my husband took the opportunity to ask for permanent replacement for the absent cleaner - she did about 25% of the work, she was the one that spilled the water, damaged the speaker, etc. Phil, the franchise owner said "well, you have been good customers but no, we are not going to change the team and we are parting ways with you". If you are planning on using this location, you better walk in lockstep with the office manager - no deviations from plans, if she wants to send an extra person to your home, you better say 'yes maam'. The franchise owner has abdicated the throne to her - I am told he now works from home and I can fully understand why. And she makes the rules and you, the customer better abide.
