Just had my first experience with MaidPro Oak Park and they are awesome! From the excellent customer service when you call in to get a quote, to the people (yea Mia and Karina!) who clean the house, they provide great service during the entire time! When you sign up, MaidPro asks you to go to the website and look at all of the things they do to clean a room. You then send an email with anything you don't want, plus any specifics not on the list. They use their own vacuums, products, etc, unless you want something specific that they don't use. However, if you provide the cleaner, they will use it. I was here when they were, so I walked them through the house and explained in greater detail. You do not have to be home, though...you can arrange for them to have a key. Afterward, MaidPro encourages customers to fill out the survey after the clean to let them know how it went. If you are dissatisfied, call within 24 hours and they'll return and do it again. They are very accommodating! I think the people who have left negative comments on here don't understand how cleaning services work. The thing is, no one cleans in your particular way. It is likely that there will be things that weren't done the way you prefer. That happened with me...I had a couple of things I wanted done differently. They weren't "wrong", just different. When that happens, you need to tell the service so that they can adjust to your preferences. If you don't, it's not their fault it didn't get done the way you like, it's yours! Just like it takes time to get used to a new hairdresser, it takes time to show people how to clean your house your way. 4 for what? I'll tell you what was done, it's much shorter. Dusted bedroom two dressers & an end table, dusted livingroom two end tables, entertainment table, diningroom table washed gas stove half way. I had to finish scrubbing the burners, she didn't know how. I am in late stages of lupus & needed help with regular cleaning. Very small space, an apartment is bigger than this house. No mopping, no vaccuming. I don't know how they make the BBB. read more

first time using maid pro and the house was not clean. they did not dust around any of the ac vents or my trim on doorways which I specifically requested. no furniture was moved so I found dust and dirt behind everything. i have a jacuzzi tub and asked if the jets would be cleaned, I was told yes - that was a lie. my tile in my shower still had soap scum after they left and my cabinet still had dirt smears all over it. my tv stand and breakable shelves had over an inch of dust. my ceiling fans still had dust on them. there was no attempt to clean them at all. this service was a waste of money. I will never use them again or recommend them to anyone. I wish I could attach the photos I took of the "after" to show how bad it truly was. read more

I had the WORST customer service I have ever experienced from this office. I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND this Maidpro office. If I could I would give 0 stars. I was a 1st time customer who had 1st cleaning in Dec with next cleaning scheduled Jan. This cleaning was canceled 3 times! 1st time I received text asking to reschedule due to weather (lightly snowing), then rescheduled for next day. When the cleaner did not show up after the scheduled time, I called. Ron said he would contact cleaner to see what happened. He texted back to say it would have to be rescheduled again and he didn't know what happened but offered a 10% discount. I rescheduled for the 3rd time and on that day received a text saying my house was too far and noone was willing to drive that far. If that was the case, this office should never have made the commitment. This experience fell far below expectations. And, most notably, NO apology was ever offered and he failed to recognize the inconvenience and frustration. read more

The company lost the key to my house TWO WEEKS AGO and never reported it to me. The owner told me I was harassing her because I demanded to know how they lost the key or if it was stolen! Very unprofessional with an egregious error! The owner Patricia should have been asking me what she could do to make this right! read more

I just had my first cleaning by Jan from MaidPro, and they went above and beyond! It was very simple to call and schedule my first cleaning, and they were able to bring their own supplies to ensure that my apartment got the attention it deserved. As a busy person, I don't have much time for cleaning, so it is very helpful to have a reputable company such as MaidPro to come out and clean for me. I can't say enough nice things about Jan. Her cleaning looks spectacular. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for someone to help upkeep their house. Luz is WONDERFUL!!!! She's made to visits to my home so far and I couldn't be happier. She's very pleasant and extremely efficient. Even when I have special request (like dusting the ceiling fans) she takes care of it. I work very hard and just don't have the time or the energy to clean. However, I'm a clean freak. So Maid Pro was/is my saving grace. As long as Luz works with them, I don't see myself discontinuing the service. Well worth it!!! read more

Thorough, conscientious work. Just as impressive as the work that the cleaners themselves do is the communication provided by Christian and Jesse at the office. We have a hectic schedule, so we may not always be available at the specified monthly time that we have set up with them. So, they call the week before AND the day before to confirm that the time is OK, and then they call the day after for quality assurance. Very satisfied and we don't need to go anywhere else. Maidpro has really exceed my expectations. I've been using them for about 4 months now and I still don't have a complaint. Before this I had been using independent cleaners off craigslist mostly I also tried this one lady a friend recommended and everyone had some kind of issues ranging from never being on time to accidentally breaking things to stuff going missing and various other things like how I wanted things cleaned that weren't done correctly. First call to the 800# is a machine, leave a message & play phone tag until I emailed back saying this is just not working. That is where I should have left it. 2 women arrive as finally scheduled. My husband was home for the first part of their visit. When I arrived I came in to him pointing out some missed places, the tops of our dressers. We gave them a step ladder & she grabbed the WINDEX to clean my solid dark cherry wood dressers! I asked if she using that and she said NO, we use SPIC & SPAN on the wood. I questioned it and both kept saying that is what they use and it is wood safe. I questioned that its a liquid, no liquid like that is to be used on wood. They asked if I had Pledge because they didn't. I had none. They used SPIC & SPAN. My wood is now dry, dull and has dry streaks all over them. I went and purchased Pledge Oil and spent the morning oiling my wood! The manager came, I poined out that most items were surfaced cleaned, lots of dust left behind, dusted around and no items or wall hangings were dusted. The manager/owner agreed and started cleaning the dressers & that is about when I went downstairs just to not get more upset. I came upstairs when done to pay, I walked through with the manager/owner and found some items better, however upon having time after they left to check every room, I found my entire office was not touched. I see one swipe of dusted area and that is it. Very lax and no attention to detail with this service. My Canadian beagle bottle opener was broke by one of the cleaners, I was notified about it. Breaking something no matter how small or large is NOT a good impression. I understand everyone has preferences for clean, however true professionals know the basics of clean and what to use and what not to use and where to use the cleaners. I am most disappointed with the clean. The ladies were very friendly and the manager/owner as well and he tried, I need a company that pays attention to detail and knows how to really clean a home. Maid Pro is more costly than others so I expected to get what I was paying for and I certainly did not get what it is all cracked up to be. I am super busy with work and decided that the best way to spend my time and money was a cleaning service. So I was super excited and looked up places and Maidpro had decent reviews and was decently priced. So I decided to hire them biweekly. My first clean they stated needed to be a deep clean. So I had to pay and extra hour, which I was fine with to start off with an amazing clean house. The first clean was decent at best. Nothing to rave about but I didn't notice until after I submitted the review (which you have a limited amount of time to submit your review) some of the things they missed. I wasn't even upset that they broke something on the first clean. I totally understand that can happen. So, the next time they came I left a note to please clean the things they missed such as a bookcase in my hallway. When I got home, my house almost looked the exactly the same way I left it minus a few things.. They took out my garbage and they made my bed. I was pissed!!! I submitted the review and the customer service was great. They sent someone out to re-clean. That clean was okay but again they would miss things like my kitchen sink or my night stand. Oh and they also use furniture polish ON EVERYTHING!!! Including mirrors and my glass table which just smeared! After a few complaints that they were missing things and I even suggested if they needed more time I would pay for it. My house never really got cleaned the way it should be cleaned by professional. And I think it never got solved because I just got tired of complaining. I work to hard that I shouldn't have to micromanage my cleaning service. Having used them twice now, I am now a fan! I had high expectations based on MaidPro's excellent customer service leading up to the appointment - providing me with an estimate, asking me about my needs, flexibility with appointment times, etc. HOWEVER... two women showed up to clean my apartment (I was in the process of moving back in after two months and wanted to start fresh), and the one woman was MEAN. She appeared to be about 80 years old, and she started ripping on my apartment within 30 seconds of walking in. (I live in a really old building so yes that does make for some less-than-perfect conditions, but I still think the place has charm.) She complained repeatedly about walking up three flights of stairs, told me the bathroom is gross and moldy, asked how much I pay for rent and then told me it was too much, complained about my bed being delivered while they were there (I really didn't plan it that way - the bed delivery was delayed by 4 HOURS because the truck broke down), kept reiterating that she "couldn't make any promises" (I was by no means being pushy), would roll her eyes and complain under her breath, and I could go on. I was so caught off guard by her rudeness that I felt like I needed to be on MY best behavior and stay out of their way. The second woman was very sweet, thankfully. I intentionally did not tip them (which I know is not right - and it killed me), and the rude woman made that as awkward has humanly possible. I was just so disappointed! They did an average job - not above and beyond by any means. And some of the things that I had mentioned before the appointment (bleaching the bathroom ceiling, helping me carry some garbage down, etc) were clearly not relayed - and I was too terrified to ask for anything extra from them! We received three hours of cleaning service as the prize in a drawing offered by MaidPro at a local commubity event (A Day In Our Village). We had no idea what to expect, but were very pleased when Jan and Luz arrived as scheduled and immediately began to clean our 2 1/2 bathrooms, kitchen and two-story hallway. They did an excellent job efficiently and effectively, and were very pleasant to deal with. I recently moved to Oak Park, have started using Maid Pro, and they are great. Jan has cleaned my house each time, and today she is with Maribel. They are very reliable - show up when they say they are, they are extremely hardworking - Jan gets down on her hands and knees when vacuuming and cleaning the stairs!, they are very pleasant, and they are also very accommodating with my dogs and cats. Today Maribel cleaned an extra refrigerator/freezer that hasn't been used in a long time, and wow, it is clean! read more
