Cheese Plate. So good! Will order every time!
Brittany F.

Stopping in at Maiden is always a treat! Grabbed a seat at the bar yesterday, enjoyed the cheese plate as well as the Lox & Salmon. Ventured out to try a pickle martini, which was quite tasty. Service is always top tier here! I've never had an unpleasant experience. Everyone is so nice and helpful. Also patient - it takes me a minute to figure out what all I want to try! Ambiance- Open space, clean, very vibey (if that's a word lol) Can't wait for the cooler weather, I'd love to sit on the patio! I must come back for tea time or a pairing dinner.

The best Steak & Frites

Words cannot express how amazing our experience was at Maiden Fine Plants & Spirits. My husband drove us all the way from San Antonio to bring me here for a surprise birthday dinner. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the friendly host and were sat promptly for our 4-course tasting menu. Kendall, our personable server, was very knowledgeable and explained each ingredient of our food and drinks in great detail. We started with delicious, unique cocktails as we admired the mid-century modern motif. Our food & drinks were visually appealing like art work, almost too magnificent to be edible. We indulged our senses in the aromas and our palates were engrossed with unique flavor combinations. We were so impressed with our meal, that we took Kendall's advice and returned the next evening for more cocktails and to try the steak and frites. We knew this was an opportunity we could not pass up as this is the only TX restaurant that serves Chunk Foods vegan steak. This time, we sat at the beautiful bar and had the pleasure of Rosae helping us. We were too full from our meal for dessert, but took some amazing olive oil cake to go. We are not even vegan, but Maiden served a delectable cuisine. Chef Amy and team did a great job with all of the meticulous detail they put into this restaurant. This fine dining experience was an unexpected find. Definitely worth the drive, we cannot wait to return!

Came again for my birthday this year! Still a lovely experience but unfortunately enjoyed my time and the food more last year. Would still recommend but a little high price point for the quality received!

My BFF took me to Maiden to celebrate my birthday this year. She's vegan and knows that I enjoy plant-based foods and eclectic menus. The restaurant is very cozy. Not very large, but it is inviting and relaxing, which is important if you are there for a 3 hour tasting. The service was quite attentive. Each course was explained in great detail, which was very helpful. The food was amazing. The chef is brilliant. Cannot wait to go back and bring some other friends that would appreciate such an experience.

A phenomenal experience - what a privilege it is to have a restaurant of this caliber in Fort Worth. If you are familiar with Spiral Diner, Maiden shares the same ownership. Service throughout the night was wonderful, and ambience was nice and cozy. Food wise you have several options, ranging from 4/8 courses to a-la cart. We opted for the 8 course meal and spent about 3 hours at the restaurant. While it may seem like a while, the pace was calculated and on the money - around 10 minutes between each dish. For me, the highlight of the restaurant is the option for drink pairings- there is a wine pairing, non alcoholic pairing, and the true star of the show - the eclectic pairing, where they pair the food with the BEST drink pairing, which may not necessarily be wine. All in all I can't recommend Maiden enough - as I am writing this review I can't help but smile, as the staff has truly set the bar high for what a true fine dining experience in Fort Worth should be.

We visited Maiden for my birthday, and we made the drive to Fort Worth from Frisco for the experience. This was our first time there, and we will be back! The food was absolutely delicious, like mouth watering. The kind of meal that you keep thinking about, because it was so good. The service is top notch. Our server was kind, informative, speedy, and she had a great sense of humor. It was obvious the staff enjoyed being there. The decor is cool, and upscale retro vibe. I cannot wait for our next visit!

Yes so It was my birthday when i visited on a Thursday . Maiden Vegan Restaurant yes you guessed it I am Vegan . My first time visiting . When I say I enjoyed the food ,it was great flavorful, The Steak was flavorful served with a side of butter on it . Mom The French Fries had a nice crisp to it Just the right amount of food . We sat at the bar . We were addressed right a way . It being my first time there i wasn't sure what to order . My daughter had been there before . So we ordered the steak as I said before didn't delicious . Wasn't sure about what cocktail . So our bartender suggested a cocktail and I loved it was perfect . The decor was beautiful we sat at the bar. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing and could hear yourself talking , even with the music playing . I felt like i was at a elegant restaurant in Europe. The bartender overheard my daughter say mom its your birthday get dessert . When it came out it had a birthday candle on it thank you Very nice Definitely will be visiting again and again .

Seasonal Arancini began our journey to gastronomical bliss. They were incredible.

We went to Maiden to celebrate a birthday. Having read no reviews we came in blind, only to be blown away by an otherworldly combination of impeccable service, mind-bending flavors and tastes that have to be experienced to be understood and relished. Maiden is the kind of restaurant that will have you craving your next visit. While the upscale surroundings are beautiful, there was nothing pretentious or over-the-top. Service was spot on: no hovering or unwanted intrusions, yet we never had a glass even get close to empty. Every need was met before we could even ask. Mark my words. a Michelin star is incoming, it's just that stellar.... We have never had a better dining experience. Gastronomic nirvana, thy name is Maiden! We are already planning for our next visit. We're going to bring some guests so they too can have an out of this world experience.

Cheese plate.

I stopped in to visit the bar this past Saturday and I cannot wait to book a full experience! The restaurant, while intimate, is so lovely! One can tell that the decor was thoughtfully planned to add to the experience. Every single person I encountered was extremely professional and friendly. Our bartender, Bird, had such a calming, helpful and inviting demeanor and was very knowledgeable. I tried two cocktails, a daiquiri and an espresso martini, as well as the cheese plate and everything was phenomenal! I was especially impressed by the cheese plate as it was not only delicious but more than enough to satisfy two. Additionally, I got to peek at a few of the dishes as they went by and everything looked yummy! As a plant based eater, it is always a joy to dine out and not have to worry if a restaurant can accommodate your diet and to be able to have such a fine dining experience is amazing. I couldn't be happier that Maiden has landed in Fort Worth! I will certainly be back soon!

Gluten Free Tea Time
Desiree R.

One of my best friends had her birthday get together at Maiden a while back. Myself and one other friend are gluten-free and we were pleasantly surprised to find that they had an entire gluten-free option for their tea time! Our server was awesome and very knowledgeable when it came to the specifications we needed. It was a very calm and chill environment as it was a Sunday and early in the day. I will be back!

What a beautiful experience. Stick with me here, I loved it so much so I have a lot to say. Before I even entered I immediately loved the patio area. It's such a sweet spot, the way it's nestled under the overhang of the structure. The interior space is a striking retro vibe, but done in more modern tones. As day becomes evening they lower the lights and it's cozy and soothing. For some reason I really felt like I was in an upscale lodge in New Mexico. I mean, understand I've never been to New Mexico so I have no idea where the feeling came from. lol Trust me when I say my best friend and I are not wealthy, but sometimes you need to have a special experience, and we love food. Like... really love. This experience is not cheap and every add-on is additional, so I think our total before tax and tip was about $400 for the 8 course with eclectic pairing and two additional drinks. So anyway, cost aside, this experience was divine. My friend dressed nice, I wore a TCU t-shirt, jeans, and Vans. No one judged me, everyone was so warm from start to finish. The host helps serve the food and clear tables between courses (he was very attentive), the bartender offers tidbits on drinks and the glassware (which is beautiful, even the water glasses), everyone works together here to make this train run smoothly. Warren, the bartender was so nice, very welcoming. I ordered a drink before our 8 course tasting started. He is amazing. Those drinks, alcoholic AND the mocktails, were done so well. Bartending at a place like this really does take experience and skill. So the heart of this whole experience, the seasonal tasting menu. We did the 8 course menu and our... I'll call him a tour guide instead of server... our tour guide was Adam. He was such a lovely person. He was very clearly passionate about Vegan food, and he's also quite a fan of Chef Amy. Totally understandable, she's worthy of fandom. If you've ever been to Spiral Diner (shout out to the Mitch Tofu Club, I heart you), you understand Chef Amy gets vegan food. She knows how to flavor it, how to prepare it, and how to pair it. I learned during this experience that the comforting food I've grown accustomed to over the last almost 17 years since I discovered Spiral, can be elevated and not lose that comfort. I am not vegan or even vegetarian, but that's how special Chef Amy's food is, it breaks down barriers. (Dang, she's still got more to say?! Yes! Don't leave yet, you've come this far!) I'm not going to try to describe all 8 courses in this spring tasting menu. My mom is great at content descriptors and wordsmithing. I dabble but I wouldn't do them justice. I will list the courses (possibly out of order) and give my favorites: -Consomme - broth (favorite, the clearest, deepest consomme I've ever had) -Panko-crusted tofu patty (favorite) with cabbage (least favorite) -Beet, kale, and "feta" salad -Roasted parsnip with "marrow", toast, tomatillo jelly -Smokey "Brisket" main course on bed of quinoa with the most ridiculous blue corn tortillas (the tortillas were a favorite) -Palette cleanser, flavored ice -"Cheese" course, three toasts with different toppings (oh my word, two of the "cheeses" were from a company in Austin called Rebel and they were so good we're taking a trip to Austin to buy some, lol, but the"salmon" was tied for least favorite) -Dessert, an out of this world tart boat with duo of white chocolate cream and lemongrass lime curd and flash frozen blueberries and meringue (Favorite alert!!) I will come back for a cheese plate and Old Fashioned on the patio, and to see Adam again. Delightful human. I'm thankful I had this experience and I was sad the moment it was over.

Afternoon tea (middle tier)

This place is really special! We don't have anything like it in our area and I've thought that for years when I've wanted to go out for a more upscale meal with my best friend who is vegan. Sometimes you don't just want a restaurant with a vegan option (that's probably salad lol). You want a restaurant where your vegan friends can eat everything on the menu! It is what the growing vegan community deserves. I went for their afternoon tea and was very impressed! It was adorable and their pastry chef Stacy is soo creative! One of my favorite bites was their take on a lox sandwich which had brined and smoked carrot slices, cream cheese, and capers on a mini croissant-like bread. The flavors created were so familiar yet very much their own. I enjoyed their fig jam thoroughly as well which featured a zero-proof alcohol. Their tea selection is so fun and extensive! I was surprised to find out that it is unlimited in their tea service. They have a gluten-free option for tea and like 10 zero-proof alcohol options! The restaurant is just so inclusive and I applaud them. Our waiter was chipper and knowledgeable. The interior is so refined and I was tickled that the restrooms smell like nice cologne and have a whole ambiance of their own. Overall it was a fantastic experience for a more than reasonable price! Dreamboats Donuts and Scoops is right next door and the beloved Spiral is across the street. It's a great location and I can't wait to come back and visit for dinner.

This review is for happy hour at the bar. We tried a few cocktails and got the parsnip fries. Everything was so good and we really enjoyed conversing with the bartender. The space is small and modern. You probably need a reservation because it's tiny with only a handful of tables. I would love to try their dinner service.

Ask the Community - Maiden

Happy about this new restaurant but unhappy that I am unable to find a menu of any kind. In lieu of a menu, can you tell me if your ingredients are organic or local? And can you tell me if any seed oils are used in your recipes? Thank you!

They are keeping the menu secret and it changes every month. The bar menu is posted, though, and you can see where they source ingredients for their cocktails. https://maidenvegan.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Maiden-Drink-Menu-July.pdf

I do have one small, constructive suggestion, coming from someone with sensory sensitivities. It would be really helpful if the menu provided more detail about what the salad includes. For example, when I read "lettuce," I expected romaine or iceberg, not spring mix. I wouldn't have ordered the salad had I known it was spring mix, as it's quite different for me. This is a minor point and big to others, but it didn't take away from what was otherwise such a nice visit.

Flavor and taste was spot on, really well balanced. The seafood nachos, however, didn't arrive warm or very fresh with delivery. I could still tell the flavors were there, but this is definitely something I'd recommend dining in for rather than ordering online. The burrito supreme was well stuffed, wrapped nicely, and full of flavor. I would absolutely order this again. One small suggestion: it would be great if items with a spicy kick were noted on the menu. I was a bit caught off guard by the level of spice/seasoning. Also didn't see the option to edit my order (remove a certain ingredient or topping, etc) Overall, solid food and flavors--I'll definitely be dining in soon

Finallllllly! A soul food vegan eatery with mush mush flavor!…read more So, hubbs and I were hungry and decided to give Mush Flavor a try. Boy aren't I glad we did. For more details see below. The location: this location is a part of a ghost kitchen. It is located in the corner of a small parking lot. You'll see plenty of food delivery signs above a building...that's the building you want to order from. The interior was just a box room, with a couple of chairs and an Ipad to order from. The service: so, apparently there's normally a receptionist or a welcomer who greets you, but there was noone there the day that we visited. It left us kind of guessing. However, two of the owners came out and made sure they checked in on customers to make sure everyone was taken care of. That was nice. They kept up updated on our order and what was going on in the kitchen. I appreciated that service and updates. The food: the food was goodt! Okay, so the mac n cheese was good. So, I'm not a cheese person. However, their Mac n cheese could've have used some more cheese. Now the actually macaroni was cooked to perfection though. The macaroni really good. The overall, mac n cheese just could've have had a little bit more flavor/cheese. The chicken! OMG the chicken was everything. It had a very bold flavor of spices. The chicken was crispy enough, but not too crispy. It wasn't mushy but was firm. I wish I would've mixed my macaroni n cheese and my chicken together. However that chicken was gobbled up so fast. Overall, I wish the ghost kitchen was a little more welcoming. However the flavor was delicious and I'd definitely be back to try more menu items.

We were a little surprised at the concept of the space. You walk into a small area with seating and…read morethere's a giant iPad with several restaurants to choose from. So this place is a compilation of restaurants in one space that you can't see. There's just a receptionist desk to receive your order. It takes the personal aspect away it feels cold and soulless to just not talk to anyone but I guess that's the way the world is going. Some of the business owners did peek their heads out and greet us and they were nice but then went back to prepping and cooking their orders. There's no music or entertainment or anything just a waiting room with nothing in it but a bathroom. I get it you get the benefit of starting a restaurant without being in your house you have a nice clean place to cook and serve orders and your overhead is extremely low. It's a great start to businesses but it's very impersonal. I ordered the chicken and waffles with a side of Mac and cheese. I feel like this meal should not have been 30 bucks especially with the money that's saved from not having a stand alone restaurant with employees like cooks, hostess, bus boys and managers. My chicken was really good the seasoning was on point and delicious. The waffle was soggy and soft but I think a lot of people like their waffle that way I prefer a crispy waffle. I'm sure they could easily make it that way but you can't freaking talk to anyone to communicate that request, so you get whatever the computer tells you you can get. The Mac and cheese was ok it could have been cheesier and more creamy I added some non vegan ingredients to get it the way I like it but I have cooked vegan Mac and cheese dishes that had more of a consistency of vegan cheese and noodles. It's good has potential it just needs more love. It wasn't worth 5 bucks though since I had to add to it. So to be honest my 4 stars come from the fact that this is a good business with friendly service. It has great potential and I want to see them succeed since it's a BOB. As a whole I am not a fan of this order from an iPad then wait for your food and not talk to anyone concept. The concept gets 2 stars because it sucks.

I turned the corner and there it was, a tiny, tiny Donut shop with Silver Inflated Balloons that said, Donuts. Inside, Emily helped me out by explaining that the Donuts are made with yeast. I chose the original Glaze Donut and it was surprisingly good! It was soft and semi sweet. It was a large in size and kept me fulfilled and oh, so happy! Lol. Who would of thought? A Vegan Donut was so good! It's worth paying 3.00 plus tax. I was able to sample their much talked about Vegan Ice Cream. The Cookie Monster was by far my favorite. It was sweet, crunchy and colorful. They have other flavors like, Pistachio Blue Berry, Vanilla and Chocolate. The sample portion is very generous too. The Ice Cream was so flavorful and left a good taste in my mouth. It made me want more. I didn't feel guilty about it either since, it's Vegan. It was just like a dream.
