We talked on the phone and were able to set up a time for our boat cruise. Meeting at the Riviera dock was easy (he called prior to let us know what he was wearing and what the boat looked like so it was easy to spot him). The boat ride was so enjoyable! We brought some snacks and wine to enjoy while we learned more about Lake Geneva and the houses in the area. The sunset was pretty spectacular too! Thanks Capt Thom! He even gave us all flowers to make a wish on for the bride, it was very sweet! Thom was really knowledgable about the lake and we enjoyed the interesting facts he shared about the various beautiful lakefront properties. We cruised around, toured the lake, and even got to float off the boat in the water! We could not recommend him enough! If we are ever back, we would love to take another trip with him! There's plenty of parking nearby but it's all metered. Plan for at least two hours. There were clear signs leading the way to the dock, and someone on standby to direct you to the correct boat. We were on a cute two story boat with huge open windows, beautiful wooden decks with lawn chairs for seating, and small bar on each deck to purchase drinks. The tour announcer we had was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was easy to hear for the most part so I'd give the speaker system a solid A-.

We rented a jet ski from Jerry's for one hour last week. The price seemed to be standard within…read morethe area - $115 dollars per one hour or $90 per one half hour. The kids that checked us in at the desk, explained the regulations, and got us on the jet ski were all nice, but seemed very young. You must have a credit card that does not say debit or is not American Express to leave with them in case there are damages when you get back. Apparently there is also a Wisconsin law that you have to be born before 1/1/1989 to drive the jetski. Just a heads up.

Looking for something new and different to do on Black Friday we took…read morethe Holiday lights tour this year. We have a tremendous driver, he was a lot of fun and really made the night. The tour goes the Christkindlmarket market at Wrigley and then the zoolights at Lincoln park zoo. I wish we got to see more lights around the city, but I don't know how that would work. It was allot of fun anyway. we got to spend a good amount of time at each stop. In between on the drive our driver told some great stores, some history and sang Christmas carols. A fun thing to do even if your not a tourist but a local like us. Make be a new family tradition.
