On the day of my rescheduled appointment, I presented my Groupon voucher to pay. This is where things became uncomfortable. The massage therapist appeared visibly upset and walked away, and the owner returned to inform me that not all therapists accept Groupon clients. I was told I should have mentioned the Groupon when booking. While I understand policies are important, this was not communicated clearly beforehand, and the way it was delivered felt abrupt and somewhat scolding. As for the massage itself, it was okay but not exceptional. There was a noticeable language barrier, and I was not asked what type of massage I preferred or what areas needed focus. At times, the pressure felt inconsistent -- almost as if there wasn't a clear plan of muscle work being done. Overall, I think clearer communication would greatly improve the client experience, especially regarding Groupon policies. First thing I noticed when she did the needles was that my sinuses instantly cleared and my breathing felt light. With vog in the air, I lungs were feeling rather tight.
